Rhythm Tengoku (リズム天国 Rizumu Tengoku?), also known as 'Rhythm Heaven Silver' unofficially in English, is a music game released on the Game Boy Advance and in arcades. The game has a total of 48 stages where the player must play each one of them in beat with the music in the stage's background. It was followed by Rhythm Heaven on the Nintendo DS. The game was first thought of by popular Japanese rock artist Tsunku♂ and was designed to be a rhythm game that in a sense doesn’t require visual cues. The game was never released outside of Japan.
Arcade Version[edit | edit source]
In 2007, SEGA and Nintendo created an arcade recreation of the original game alongside exclusive features not included in the main game. This included a 2 Player mode and extra, faster stages.
A heart system was introduced, the player would start with two hearts and every time they attempted a minigame they’d lose one. If they got a Superb or Perfect, they gain one heart. When the player ran out of hearts they would need to pay the arcade machine a certain amount of credits.
Rhythm Tengoku Taikenban[edit | edit source]
Rhythm Tengoku Taikenban (or Rhythm Tengoku Trial Version) was a demo version of the original game available in kiosks until the game's release. It only included the first 3 minigames and the Rhythm Test, as opposed to the 40+ in the original game.
