Basic controls[edit]

Button(s) Function
A button Punch, block, swing weapon
B button Kick, block, throw weapon
A button+B button Jump
Neutral dpad Move, navigate menus
Start button Pause, access menus
Select button Change settings (before beginning, switch between Money and Stamina displays (during play)

Starting moves[edit]

Run Push Left dpad or Right dpad twice to run in that direction.
RCR punch.png Punch Push A button. Can also be done when airborne.
RCR kick.png Kick Push B button. Can also be done when airborne.
RCR jump.png Jump Push A button and B button simultaneously. You can use this to escape or to get onto higher areas (hold Up dpad while at the base of the area you want to jump onto). If you jump when running you go higher and farther.
RCR jump kick.png Jump kick Do a running jump, then push B button.
RCR uppercut.png Uppercut When an enemy is stunned, push A button.
RCR high kick.png High kick When an enemy is stunned, push B button.
RCR block.png Block Push A button or B button just as an enemy attacks. Can also be done when using a weapon.

At your starting power level, three basic hits will be enough to knock weak opponents down. Increasing the Punch and Kick attributes (see Gameplay) will let you lower the number of hits needed for a knockdown.
