Once Gibson and Broady's red Nissan 300ZX has reappeared on the screen, you will have to step on the gas pedal to accelerate it (sending the bushes in its path flying), and shift into high gear once it has reached 200 km/h; you will then have to turn to the right, turn to the left twice, turn to the right twice more, turn to the left once again and use your Turbo Activator boost to crash through the Mexican border and into the warehouse behind it (for if you do not, you cannot make it before the 30-second timer runs out). Once Gibson and Broady have driven back out of the warehouse and into the U.S. again, you can sit back and enjoy the ending, which shows the warehouse exploding followed by a shot of the Mayor being reunited with his daughter Jennifer as the text of "GAME COMPLETED BONUS 5000000" appears above them - and the screen will then fade into a character-free shot of the road as the following text appears letter-by-letter on it (the misspelling of "heroes" is also accurate). Once the screen fades to black the game's staff credits will roll:
After the credits have finished the game shall go into high-score mode; your score will most likely be the highest one on the cabinet to date, so you shall have forty seconds to enter your initials at the top of the table with pride (by using the steering wheel to select the letters, then pressing the Firing Button to confirm them, but if you do not want to you can press the Start Button to skip this). Once you have done so, the game shall go back into attract mode, but Gibson and Broady shall return for the Japan-exclusive spin-off game Quiz H.Q. in 1990 (which sees them regaining their old black Porsche, but the players must help them catch criminals by answering multiple-choice questions correctly) - and knowledge of the Japanese writing systems is essential.
