I have decided to investigate Hinoe's mountain pass. They call this place the "Isle of Demons", but the demons themselves appear laughably weak. If they do show their sorry faces, I'd like to give them a good beating. Honestly, I don't know WHY it came to this.
Go to the Cylindric Cavern[edit]
How to complete: Exit the Home and go to the World Map, then select and enter Cylindric Cavern.
Notes:
- You can rest at the house if you like, however at sunset you won't be able to anymore until you clear Cylindric Cavern.
- Time will freeze at sunset.
Explore the Cylindric Cavern[edit]
How to complete: Go to Cylindric Cavern and kill all the enemies at the end (two groups of 6 Demon Sparrows).
Notes:
- You can rest at the house if you like, however at sunset you won't be able to anymore until you finish the quest.
- Time will freeze at sunset until this part of the quest is completed.
- Last autosave will load if you get defeated but your HP will be refilled.
Return home[edit]
How to complete: Return to the mountain pass and watch the cutscene.
Go to the storehouse[edit]
How to complete: Go to the storehouse and talk to Tauemon to trigger the cutscene.

Search the area and raise the exploration level[edit]
How to complete: You will need to complete exploration objectives to raise your exploration level. This will unlock new areas to explore. You need an exploration level of 9 to continue.
Investigate Eggplant Hollow[edit]
How to complete: Complete all exploration objectives in Eggplant Hollow.
Notes:
- You need to get both crescent stones in the interior, then defeat Red Belly in the depths.

- Main Quest "Pioneering", after having dinner.
Pioneering[edit]
My valiant efforts have driven away the nearby demons, making it easier to survive in the wilds. Unfortunately, there's been little to forage. In order to make a decent living, it falls upon me to venture into the lush forests.
Prerequisites:
- Main Quest "Warm Up" completed.
Explore around the forest and discover its interior[edit]
How to complete: Increase your exploration level.
Investigate the Forest of Supplication's depths[edit]
How to complete: Defeat the boss at the very end of the Forest of Supplication.
Unlocks:
Kaimaru and the Dog[edit]
Kaimaru picked up a dog from...somewhere. But with a canine companion, even the feeble children of men could safely leave the mountain pass. I tire of being the only one working here, so as a test, we shall have Tauemon venture out and gather.
Prerequisites:
- Date is Summer 1, Year 2.
Dispatch Tauemon from the World Map for gathering[edit]
How to complete: Go to the world map. Send Tauemon to any foraging node (the smaller level icons).
Wait for Tauemon to return[edit]
How to complete: Tauemon will return at dusk. Just go home and he should return shortly after you do.
Speak with Tauemon about his results the next day[edit]
How to complete: Have dinner after Tauemon returns, then rest.
Unlocks:
- A dog.
- Your followers can now forage, you can send one follower per dog at a time, anytime between sunrise and sunset.
The Missing Child[edit]
Kaimaru has up and vanished! What were he and that fool samurai thinking, leaving the mountain pass without a dog at their side? I must hunt them down before anything unfortunate comes of it!

Plant the rice in the rice paddy[edit]
How to complete: Plant the rice.
Notes:
- Doesn't matter if you allow Tauemon to handle it, although don't expect good results.
Grow the rice[edit]
How to complete: Grow the rice you planted previously.

Harvest the rice[edit]
How to complete: Cut all the rice stalks with your scythe.

How to complete: Pick up all the rice from the paddy and hang it to dry.
Notes:
- Unlike the previous steps, you can't let Tauemon do it unless you wait until Winter 2 at midnight.
Move the dried rice to the storehouse[edit]
How to complete: Simply check the rice that's drying in the paddy and choose to move it inside.

Go to the storehouse and thresh the rice[edit]
How to complete: Go to the storehouse and check the rice stalks piled up in the corner to thresh them.

How to complete: Go to the storehouse and check the barrel with the husks in the corner to hull them.
Notes:
- Hulling must reach at least brown rice level to complete if you do it yourself.
- Tauemon will do it for you no matter what if it's not completed by Winter 2 at midnight (but you can't directly ask him to do it for you).
- Brown rice makes better food, white rice better stats.
Unlocks:
- Main Quest "The Second Year's Rice Crop" on Winter 3.
- Unlocks Tilling on Winter 3.
The Second Year's Rice Crop[edit]
The previous year's harvest was wretched, but I will not shrink from my work. If I cannot escape this awful place, then I may as well make myself comfortable for the duration of my exile here.
Prerequisites:
- Main Quest First Rice Crop completed.
- Date is Winter 3 in Year 1.
Till the field[edit]
How to complete: Go at the rice paddy and till the soil with your hoe.
Notes:
- Remove the rocks and till thoroughly for best results.
- Time will freeze shortly before dusk until you finish tilling. You won't be able to rest or forage.

How to complete: Go to the storehouse and get the seeds.

Kinta has taken an interest in the forge. He claims that if I build him a proper smithing shed, he shall craft us tools... Ugh. There's no way I'll get along with that brat, though his offer is certainly tempting.
Prerequisites:
- Main Quest "Warm Up" Part 4 completed.
Give the designated materials to Kinta[edit]
- Obtain Clay 0/10
- Obtain Stone 0/5
- Obtain Wood 0/5
How to complete: Gather the materials then return to Kinta.
Notes:
- Wood is mostly found in bushes but it can also be obtained by breaking wood obstacles.
- Stone can be obtained by breaking boulders or jagged rocks.
- Clay can be obtained from mining nodes.
Unlocks:
- Kinta's workshop.
The Weaving Hut of Dreams[edit]
Yui's a rather adept weaver! With the proper tools, she could even fashion me some new garb. A charming goddess of my stature shudders at the thought of staying on this island with naught but the clothes on her back... I must craft Yui a weaving hut.
Prerequisites:
- Main Quest "Pioneering" started.
Give the designated materials to Yui[edit]
- Obtain Stone 0/5
- Obtain Wood 0/5
- Obtain Hemp 0/2
- Obtain High Quality oak 0/2
How to complete: Collect all the materials and talk to Yui.
Notes:
- Wood can be obtained by breaking wooden obstacles.
- Stone can be obtained by breaking boulders and jagged rocks (by smashing enemies into them).
- Hemp can be obtained from bushes in the caves or sending followers to forage.
- High Quality Oak can be found in bushes in the forest areas or foraging.
