You will first have to connect your Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 or Commodore Amiga (and cassette recorder, in the case of the ZX, CPC and C64 versions) to your television then switch all three (or both, in the case of the Amiga version) of them on; you will then have to place the cassette (or disk, for the case of the Amiga version) of Hi-Tec Software's PAL Developments-developed 1991 platform game Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo into the cassette recorder (or into the console itself), rewind it unless it's your first time playing it, type LOAD "" without leaving a space between the quotation marks, and press Enter to load the program into the console (or wait for it to load up automatically, for the case of the Amiga version). In the ZX version, you'll then have to press either 1 to start the game, 2 for keyboard control, 3 for Kempston joystick control, or 4 for Sinclair joystick control - but in the CPC version, the fourth option will not be present, as evidenced by the screenshot above (you can also type HELP on this screen for infinite lives in this version). You can also type STIG THE RAT on the title screen of the Amiga version to play as the game's original protagonist, who is the eponymous "Stig the Rat", and he also has infinite lives; this version also has a hand sticking out of the ground, holding a sign saying SMEG HEAD, in one level (this is a reference to the BBC television series Red Dwarf, which ran from 1987 to 1999 and starred the Spitting Image impressionist Chris Barrie). If you are playing the ZX, CPC or C64 version, follow the link in the Footer Nav at the bottom of this page to the next page - however, if you are playing the Amiga version, which is different to the others for having the license added to it later, you will have to ignore that link, and click here instead.
