When you start, you see your Seaquest surrounded by enemy subs. Obviously, you should immediately hurry to try to destroy them all, one by one, to clear the area and safely tend to mission assignments. One thing truly irritating about this game is, while doing so you'll see high-frequency messages of "U.E.O. Incoming Transmission." Under these circumstances, you shouldn't be thought to have time to keep answering a phone. Nonetheless, those transmissions are the cues to begin your missions.

In the first stage of the game story, there are two missions. One involves rescuing trapped crewmen. First, the Seaquest must shoot to make a hole in a cliff, then when in range, first dispatch a shooting vehicle to clear some obstructive rock, perhaps the Stinger, then return to your buoy and dispatch the Crab after making sure one blocking stalactite has fallen out. As soon as your Crab gets the people, no longer need you worry about their oxygen time limit, but you still must get the Crab back intact.

THE OTHER MISSION-- You must first use shot-capable vehicles like the H.R. Probe or the Stinger to clear out enemies, then use the Crab or the Truck to pick up the plutonium, some of which may be hidden by part of the plane, so you have to guess where to manuver to.

UNFORTUNATE FACT- There will be a lot of "extra credit" mining & exploration U.E.O. tells you of, but pressure time-wise of the 2 main missions probably won't let you get them all.

TO REACH THE SECOND STAGE-- This part is terribly difficult, having to run an obstacle course with no choice of another vehicle than the Sea Speeder, which I for one don't like. It's only speedy when it's gathered momentum in a straight line for awhile, is very poor at defending itself in combat, and one little bump against something infront of it can make it become a sitting duck.

IF YOU CAN OVERCOME ALL THAT-- Then the FIRST mission of the second stage invloves an oil tanker. You'll need the Seaquest to shoot mines to get in range. Then it's rather simple, but you need to move quickly--dispose of enemies one by one with the H.R.Probe and/or the Stinger, then use the H.R.Probe to weld the leaking spots within the time limit. The next one is a lot more challenging. You may have to send Darwin in a few places to just get past shooting enemies, no time to dispose of them, and get 8 sets of switches hit right after learning which to press out of three buttons each, as well as have the H.R.Probe weld a few leaks.

AFTER THOSE TWO--There's one where you'll be told vague instructions how to prevent a nuclear
