Synopsis[edit]

First Visit[edit]

Kirt begins the game at ① with a Boleth charging towards you ahead. Take it out and proceed around the corner to ②, then activate the obelisk to obtain your first metaform...

Pick up the Fire Wand and Health Potion at Ⓐ and Ⓑ, respectively, then proceed down the newly opened passage and into the portal at ③.

You will be taken to the main part of the level at ④. Make your way down the map to ⑤, taking out any Floros along the way and picking up the Float Seeds they leave behind.

When you reach your destination, use your Fire Wand to destroy the Chest at Ⓒ. It will leave behind a Float Seed and a Silver Triangle Key, the latter which can be placed upon the pedestal in front of the statue at ⑥. Doing so will cause the statue to move backwards, revealing another portal. Stepping through it will take you to the Flooded Palace.

Second Visit[edit]

Kirt will return from the Flooded Palace at ⑦. Go south a bit and pick up the Tri-Wand at Ⓓ before heading back north towards ⑧.

You will now be facing a large swamp. If you have collected enough Float Seeds, you can use them to create a safe path across (if not, explore a bit more until you have what you need). You can work towards the middle path, which will lead you to an open area with another Fire Wand at Ⓔ.

Making a path towards ⑨ will lead you to a hallway with faces engraved into the walls. Refrain from heading down it without first using Maorin's Cat Sight ability. You will now be able to see pressure plates along the floor that will activate a deadly fire trap in the hallway. You can safely traverse this path and obtain the Shuriken at Ⓕ.

Continue along until you reach a triple split in the path at ⑩, all of them blocked by flames. Use your Shuriken or Fire Wands to destroy the Disk of Woe situated above each one, which will extinguish the flames. Defeat the Super Boleths that await behind them, and then pick up the Statue Head at Ⓖ.

Finally, backtrack around the map until you reach the southwestern area, where you can pick up another Health Potion at Ⓗ. Head a little further north from there and you will come across another portal at ⑪. Step through it to be taken to the Misty Ruins.

Illuminations
"Veste, Malkor's High Priest, struck the Garden on the darkest night of the season, when the last crimson flowers had closed. His minions had harvested the countryside of all people left breathing, and gathered them within the ivy-covered walls of their most hallowed ground. Perhaps some dreaded they would be forced to witness the destruction of the Garden, but if so, they feared wrongly. As Veste began the gruesome ritual to his Master, his servants drenched the fertile soil with flowing rivers of sacrificial blood. Blackest sorcery prolonged the victims' agonized terror, and the Gardens absorbed it all: necromancy, anguish and blood. The Dark Priest's curse ran true, and the Gardens still live, lusting for more death and sheltering the pets of Veste."
