After the first dungeon and the events at the Karma Temple, the characters are permitted to download Mantras. Mantras hold a number of skills for them to learn, and the skills can't be learned until the character has amassed a certain amount of Atma Points (AP) by devouring enemies. AP does not accrue for a particular Mantra until it has been purchased from the Mantra Grid, and in order to purchase it, the character has to meet the requirements to unlock that Mantra. Note that most enemies will give all characters a share of AP, but using a Hunt Skill to kill an enemy causes only the character using the skill to receive the AP, and they'll get an extra amount on top of that.
