Place your vote for the new town plot.

At the beginning of the game, one plot on the map is occupied by the town. Each year, the town will expand by one plot, and the mayor holds a vote to determine what type of plot will be added. The choices are Residential, Commercial, Recreational, and Airport.

The first recreation and airport plots will each add functionality to the game. There is no known effect of additional residential and commercial areas.

You, the farmer, get a vote each year. Yours is not the only vote, but the game seems to usually have a close enough result between a few of the options that your vote will have a noticeable effect on how the town develops.

New plots will be built with dirt roads, which will become paved by the end of the first year.

When you inspect any square in the town that doesn't open a special window, the inspect text says "Town area, boy does fun stuff happen here!"

Special Plots[edit]

Every town should have each of these. One is the starting plot for ALL towns, and the others unlock additional events or features.

Residential[edit]

Residential plots contain houses for townsfolk to live in.

Commercial[edit]

Commercial plots provide jobs for townsfolk. Some businesses can be interacted with by inspecting them. These will open some of the windows that are available in general, such as Buy or Sell.
