Arcade (original & Deluxe)[edit]

Dive under water[edit]

You can fly below islands

It is possible to dive under the water and survive the impact with the surface. As you approach the water, begin a loop while holding the joystick down. If you loop at just the right place, you will end up below the water's surface and can continue to fly forward. As a result of this, you can fly below terrain and islands that appear in the water.

Limited Balloons[edit]

There are points in the game where fewer balloons or enemies may appear because there are already too many sprites on the screen. Destroying enemies as quickly as possible will ensure that the maximum number of enemies will appear. If you want to limit the number of enemies that you must face, do not rush to destroy every enemy. Although it can be difficult to dodge all of the enemy fire, you may be better off in the long run.

Sky Kid Deluxe[edit]

Make your own Demo music[edit]

If you press the first and second player buttons during the attract mode of the game (the demonstration mode that occurs when no one is playing the game), each button will generate a different sound. Four different sounds can be generated, but only one at a time.

Famicom and NES Sky Kid[edit]

Continue your game[edit]

If you would like to continue your game from the beginning of the last Mission you were on, press and hold Down dpad+Left dpad on the second controller, and press Start button on the first controller. This is not available in Vs. Super Sky Kid, and it is not necessary in the Game Boy conversion of the game, as it offers you unlimited continues after the game is over.
