Cop Upgrades[edit | edit source]
Cop experience is represented by blue shields, and is earned in main story and police missions by acting lawfully. Your Cop experience starts at a full three shields upon beginning each mission, but each time you perform actions such as stealing vehicles, causing unnecessary collateral damage, or even just being clumsy during chases on foot, the Cop experience you'll earn for that mission will be reduced.

Triad Upgrades[edit | edit source]
Triad experience is represented by red triangles, and is earned in main story missions by acting violently. Your Triad experience starts empty upon beginning each mission, and melee attacks and counters, environmental kills, and ramming vehicles in car chases will all add to the Triad experience you'll earn for that mission, up to a maximum of three triangles.

Face Advantages[edit | edit source]
Face experience is gained by doing favors and side missions. The Face meter is the yellow meter to the right of your minimap, and is filled by dealing damage and countering attacks in melee combat. When the meter is filled completely, enemies will be intimidated by Wei, meaning they'll be slower to attack and your attacks are more likely to land, and your health will slowly regenerate, as well.

Health Upgrades[edit | edit source]
For every 5 health shrines found, Wei's maximum health is increased by 10%. There are 50 health shrines that can be found for a total maximum health increase of 100%.
