This is a guide on the wireless multiplayer section of Spectrobes. There are three game modes, and there are a few changes made from the singleplayer battling.

Spectrobes Wi-Fi abilities are unlike any other games. Instead of the expected online battling and trading, Spectrobes features the ability to upload your play stats over Wi-Fi connection to the Spectrobes community site, and the unique online download feature. Using the download feature, you can download Spectrobes, Custom Parts, Cubes, Minerals and a short cut scene via Wi-Fi. The one main setback of the download feature is the small amount of downloads. At any particular time, there is only one Spectrobe available for download, two Custom Parts, two Cubes (which remain the Upsilon and Sigma) and one Mineral. The small amount of downloads is made up for by a routine change of downloads available.

Battle[edit]

The basic form of multiplayer, players simply set rules and battle each other. This mode is for 2 players only.

Exchange[edit]

This mode allows you to trade custom parts, fossils and spectrobes with others. This mode is for 2 players.

Matchmake Battles[edit]

These are tournaments for up to 15 contestants, and one "Master". The master sets the rules and the amounts of battles, and then the battles begin. After all the battles are over, the master chooses three contestants who go into the finals and become the top three of the tournament. This mode is for 3-16 players.

Changes to Battle Formula[edit]

  • Tag attacks only do two lots of 15 damage (roughly).
  • A lot less damage is dealt e.g. if Samugeki does about 216 damage per arrow with a special attack on Krawl, but against another player each arrow may only do 1 damage, and the big spear might only do 46.
