Map of Tatooine: Mos Eisley
Map of Tatooine: Mos Eisley
  1. This place is a long walk from anywhere. There's really no reason to spawn here.
  2. This'll be the last CP you take, if for no other reason than that it's not very close to anything.
  3. You thought the walk from CP 1 to civilization was long? Think again.
  4. Most of the fighting on the map will take place in or outside of this arena. Be careful of the turrets around the command post.
  5. A fairly short walk from the cantina, this is where you want to spawn until you take one of their command posts.
  6. The cantina we all love from Episode IV. Capturing the CP is a cinch if you know what you're doing.

Overview[edit]

  • Your faction: Empire
    • Easy reinforcements: 200
  • Opposing army: Rebels
    • Easy reinforcements: 200
  • Third party: Jawas
  • Vehicles on map: Empire: AT-ST (CP4 captured)
  • Jedi hero: Darth Vader

Strategy #1[edit]

As you can see from the map and legend, CP 5 is the only logical place to start. And from the fact that there are no elevated locations, the only logical choice of unit is the basic grunt soldier (the Dark Trooper is terribly under-powered). So, following that logic, spawn as a basic Stormtrooper and make your way through the streets west to the Cantina (6). Make sure there are no units inside before you enter. Once that is taken, move through the main street (don't shoot the Jawas) and look for the passageway into the hangar, paying careful attention to the affiliation of the unit in the turret. Proceed into the arena, up the scaffolding, and onto the skiff. The biggest obstacle here is the turrets that will fire at you as you make your way to the skiff.

At this point, all your units will come crashing down (hopefully) on their last command post (2). Follow suit and you'll be on your way to the next level in Star Wars: Battlefront.

Details[edit]

While approaching the Cantina, wait by the corner of the building across the street. As soon as you notice the rebels beginning to spawn, throw a grenade towards the entrance. By the time it explodes they are starting to exit. Toss a few more grenades and blow them up five at a time. It's usually a pretty simple clean-up job after that. While waiting to take control of the CP, stand by the medical and ammo droid and toss a grenade in the far corner way in the back just in case, as this is a favourite spawning spot of the enemy.

Take the most direct path to the arena. Often you don't even need to stop. While making a run for the command post before you reach the scaffolding, a few rebels will spawn right in front of you, so your best bet is to shoot them in the head for a fast kill.

After taking CP 4, exit the arena where the two turrets are (don't forget to visit the droids for a fill-up!) and head to the last command post (2). There's not likely to be even a single rebel along this path, but sometimes there's one, rarely two. This is the 'back door' method so effective on many if not most of the boards. Pass the back entrance to CP 2. After that there is a gap in the wall where you can see several rebels clustered in the corner around the CP. Use a grenade to clear them out. There's a second gap; jump over this wall and stay out of sight as the CP drains down, careful to stay alert to spawning rebels right in your face. You usually won't be able to take the CP without turning the corner and emptying out the area, but a huge part of the success here is to stop the rebels from spawning. By the time you're ready to empty the field, Vader and his crew are pouring into the area for an easy victory.

Done quickly, you should have around 30-40 kills and over 160 comrades left alive. Maybe not the most glamourous of boards, but typically one of the easiest.

Strategy #2[edit]

Start at CP5 as a Dark Trooper and quickly boost your way onto the building just outside the cantina door (CP6). Peg all your grenades at the front of the door, this will stop the rebels inside from coming out (they don't want to get blown up). This will give your troops time to get themselves the front of the cantina without being shot at. Then cautiously advance on the front door and shoot the rebels inside. With your troops right with you, you should take it easily (when inside the cantina, stand next to the medical droid while you capture it). As you go out the back of the cantina, boost up to the metal platform next to the crashed spaceship, then boost up to the top of the arena. From here you will have a great view onto CP4. Boost down to there when no one is watching and take it and defend it for a bit. By now the rebels would have advanced on CP1 and maybe have taken it. If so boost over to there and lay on the roof right next to the CP and you will capture it. You should be very close to victory by then and you can do what you want from there.
