Capture the Radar Facility[edit]

This is a pretty large and confusing map, and believe it or not, avoiding getting lost is one of the factors that can determine success and failure. It starts out simple enough; you're in a hangar, and there's really only one way out. Climb up the stairs and go through the hallway. You'll come to a large circular area, with four paths leading to an enclosed, smaller circular area. That's the Radar Facility. As you can see, it's a pretty small room, so throw a couple grenades in to soften up the resistance (they can't really dodge the grenades) before moving in and finishing off the rest.

Retrieve the Holodisk from Command[edit]

There are three hallways leading out from the circular area; the one that you came through from the hangar, plus two others that lead to a small area (the "hospital bed" area from Episode III). When playing this map in Instant Action, you would take a right from here and continue on the corridor, because the path leading straight goes to a room above which serves no practical purpose; however, in this mission the Holodisk is located there.

Two Wookiees and three Vanguards? No problem, chuck grenades!

When you get to the hospital bed, some Rebels will starting coming out to greet you. Again, use grenades liberally, as there are quite a few Wookiees here that could stand up to blasterfire for a while before going down (you might need to use the ammo droid located in the corner). When the area's clear, go upstairs and grab the disk; then get out of there before more Rebels spawn to kick your tail. Return to the Radar Facility to complete this objective.

Defend the Radar Facility until Uplink[edit]

This isn't very hard, but it will require you to dodge things often. The first thing you should do is change to Engineer and repair the two droids in the facility; these will probably get destroyed again sometime during the next two minutes, so be ready to switch back a couple times to repair.

There are three entrances to the facility, but there's a simple way to cover them all without moving around; just jump onto the round table in the middle. Now you can fire at enemies approaching from any angle by turning around. This gives you the additional benefit of not being affected by grenades that land on the ground beneath you... however, your buddies will not be so lucky.

When shooting at incoming Rebels, kill the most threatening targets first. For example, Wookiee Warriors can decimate your troops with their powerful weapons, so they should be targeted promptly; same goes for Bothan Spies and Rebel Vanguards. Engineers and Marksmen either have no high-damage weapons or don't use them effectively, so don't worry about them as much.

Destroy the Databank in the cavern[edit]

This sounds simple... but the problem is, the "cavern" mentioned in the objective is in the very far corner of the map. Getting there will be a hassle in itself, and once you arrive there, there's a high chance that you'll get killed, forcing you to make the trip again. Be very careful not to get killed.

Your eyes do not deceive you... a Stormtrooper has joined the Rebel ranks up near the top.

Make your way to the infirmary from two objectives ago (as you're doing this, you'll notice the original hangar CP being captured by the enemy. Ignore it, as there's nothing you can do at this point). Instead of going up those stairs, though, take a right and keep going, passing the hangar. You'll come to an identical infirmary, and a pair of doors will lead you to the giant cavern area. Enemies spawn from the far end of this cavern, so you can attempt to reduce their numbers a bit before charging in; however, don't stall too much, or they'll just spawn back.

The Databank can be tricky to blow up. Also, notice the tank to the right side of the shot.

Use grenades, mines, detpacks, and whatever else you have to kill the many Rebels here and climb up the incline, using the crates as cover as you advance. After taking care of the Rebels up here, throw grenades down at the Databank until it's destroyed (they don't stick to it like most objectives, so aim carefully).

Capture the Hangar[edit]

Remember that hangar being captured as you were coming to the cavern? That means the Rebels are preventing your escape, so you have to traverse the entire map yet again and take it back. Double time to the hangar, but don't expect the way there to be empty; lots of enemies will still roam the facility. Alternatively, you can choose to drive the tank at the Databank hangar all the way back.

The hangar is accessible from two ways, the way you came in the beginning and a downstairs route, but it's generally easier to go down the stairs (you're in the line of sight of more enemies if taking the first path). Before going down, grab as many friendlies as possible by using the Follow Me command (F4 on PC). Preferably, take a squad of 2 Stormtroopers, 1 Shock Trooper, and 1 Engineer, while you play as an Imperial Officer (you get an instant kill grenade launcher which is handy against tough enemies like Wookiees, plus a Rage bonus that can increase your squad's effectiveness).

Aim with me, trooper...

This route requires you to fight a literal uphill battle, since the Hangar CP is located atop a raised area. Killing enough enemies to get up above is the hardest part; first, shoot anyone that's coming down with the grenade launcher, finishing them off with the sonic blaster in the case you miss slightly, and when no one's coming down, use the projectile's tendency to be affected by gravity and shoot above at the platform for a few lucky kills. There's a high probability that you'll die more than once while trying to do accomplish this, and that's okay. Just remember to refrain from taking a squad when your reinforcements drop below 15 or so, to avoid those points from decreasing faster than normal.

"Poor girl was looking the other way even as I saved the day."

When you can walk up to the post, the end is near. Pick off everyone on the point itself, and starting capturing it. The enemy will try to rush you and snipers will go for your head from various areas of the hangar, so always be alert for danger. Capturing the post wins you the mission.
