Destroy the 5 transports[edit]

Cause millions of credits' worth of property damage by taking out the transports.

The Rebels are in full retreat. Your first task is to destroy their transports before they jump to hyperspace (that's two minutes), and as your commander says, TIE bombers are best suited for the job. Hop into one with another trooper in the gunner position, and fly out the hangar. The transports are easy to destroy (only one strafing run required if all payloads hit and you have the War Hero medal), so this shouldn't take long. A couple of these transports will veer away into extreme corners of the battlefield while you're engaging the others, so be prepared to do some fancy flying among enemy fighters to get to them.

Destroy the Corellian Corvettes[edit]

Have some free time? Grab a cup of tea and hold down the fire key until the Corvette disintegrates.

These two Corvettes were in the battle all along, but you couldn't damage them—until now. The Corvettes aren't much tougher than the transports, but they do have point-defense cannons that can take down fighters other than bombers fairly quickly. Don't bother destroying these, as blowing up the Corvette itself is much faster. Also, if you have time to kill, you can get up on your Star Destroyer's defense cannons and hammer away at the ships to achieve the same thing.

Destroy 10 enemy fighters[edit]

Foolish of him to fly into jaggy rocks.

The timer is now back, set to 10 minutes. However, this doesn't get reset upon completion of this objective—in fact, you're going to be doing this plus two other objectives in those ten minutes. The Rebels escape once the time is up, so try not to linger too long on any one objective.

You should still be in a TIE bomber. While the TIE Interceptor is the Imperial Fleet's dogfighter of choice, the bomber can actually dish out a surprising amount of damage with the shock cannons, provided the pilot can aim well. The cannons will knock out X- and Y-wings in two shots (one for the former if at close range), and A-wings in one. A-wings are too fast to catch with your slow-recharging weapon, though, so go for the first two. Of course, once you're shot down, you should pick an Interceptor upon respawn.

There should be no shortage of enemy fighters in this mission: destroyed craft are replaced immediately from the Mon Calamari cruiser's hangars, and the Rebel ground base will send up reinforcement fighters almost constantly. Don't go anywhere near the cruiser to pick fights, since you'll be taking unnecessary damage; instead, hang around near your cruiser and the enemies will come to you. Try to finish this objective with at least seven minutes remaining on the timer.

Destroy the 4 heavy turrets[edit]

One would expect important turrets such as these to be better defended. But surely you are not complaining?

Now it's time for you to get near the big, scary cruiser. Switch to a TIE bomber, and fly to the Mon Calamari ship. To avoid damage from point-defense turrets, you should approach the cannons from under the ship, popping out overhead once they're in range. A volley of five or six proton bombs will knock out a turret. When done with the two on one side of the ship, move over to the other and repeat. Shoot to finish this one with at least five minutes remaining.

Destroy the enemy engines[edit]

That is way more engines than should be necessary.

This can take a while. The enemy ship has eight engines, but four of those are grouped into two dual engines so you're only destroying six. However, the constant stream of fighter reinforcements from planetside will make your job much more difficult. Still, if you had five minutes on the counter, there shouldn't be a problem with completing the objective on time, even if you get shot down (or accidentally crash into the engines while trying to make runs) once or twice. Upon destruction of the last engine, the Rebel fleet has been crippled and you've won!
