The TIE Defender is most powerful craft in the game, made only second with the release of the expansion packs. The normal configuration has lasers, ion cannons, warheads and a tractor beam.

The TIE Defender combat missions are only available once they are introduced in the main campaign, or if you have the Collector's Series CD.

Tractor Beam[edit]

Corellian Transport Lin is parked at the base, but will start a hyperspace jump within a few seconds. It's weakness is that's its laser turret is exposed - on approach, press , until you select it's laser turret, and fire two warheads. Destoying the turret allows you to disable the craft more easily.

Corellian Transport Ko is launched after 90 seconds. It will also leave quickly, but will fly in a circle before activating hyperspace. As with Lin, you can fire a warhead as you approach (no further than 2.50) at the laser turret, and can use the tractor beam to make it harder for it to escape. When it is attacked, Corellian Transport Kaar will prepare to launch.

Corellian Transport Kaar will launch 50 seconds after Ko is attacked. It will try a quick break, but will also evade enemy fire if necessary. Fire your remaining warheads at the transport, and disable it.

After dealing with the transports, complete the remaining objectives. Priority should be given to Shuttle Poltroon, which will try to repair disabled craft, and depart after completing the repairs. This is followed by B-Wing Scarlet 4, which is present for about 1 minute.

When ISD Glory arrives, other ships will depart. They can be safely ignored if they are not part of the mission objective.
