Khoonda Plains[edit]

When you leave the Crystal Cave after encountering Master Vrook within, Azkul and six of his mercenaries await you in the Khoonda plains, which have been cleared of any kinraths:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You are the Jedi I've heard reports of. And I am Azkul, leader of the mercenaries on Dantooine.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you want with me? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I've learned that you are planning an assault on Khoonda.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Straight to the point. I like that. I will be equally direct. I am planning to take Khoonda, and you're going to help me. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: That is correct. And I want you to help me.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. But why attack Khoonda?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You don't need to know the details. But I can tell you there are a lot of credits involved.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I have nothing to say to you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Why would I help you? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Go on. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. What's in it for me? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. I would never help you.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: According to my reports, I have four times as many soldiers as the militia, and I am committed to taking Khoonda. It is inevitable that I will succeed. If you wish to avoid my men eradicating the people of Dantooine, you will make it easier for me to take Khoonda. Of course, I will pay well for your services.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you have in mind?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: There are many ways someone with your abilities can aid us. Before the action begins, I have two main tasks in mind for you: disable the gun turrets and the traps.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. So, you want me to destroy the gun turrets? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. What about the traps?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Deal with the turrets however you see fit. Just keep them from pestering my men. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: When the militia learns of our attack, they will plant traps around the entrances to Khoonda. Disable them.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Decide quickly. I have a slaughter to plan.

If you say you'll help him:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Okay, I'Il help you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. [Lie] Okay, I'll help you.
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Return to me when you when you are ready for us to begin our assault. I warn you not to keep me waiting.
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: Well maneuvered! With both the mercenaries and the militia counting on your aid, you can influence the outcome of this situation as you see fit.
Influence Gained: Kreia (+8)
KotORII Icon Mandalore.png Mandalore: Watch out for Azkul. I've known his kind before. He will attack you without hesitation if he believes you aren't working with him.
KotORII Icon Mira.png Mira: That man is an ice cold killer. I wouldn't trust him if I were you.
KotORII Icon Handmaiden.png Handmaiden: I hope you aren't intending to support that monster. They will slaughter the citizens of Khoonda!
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Of course I intend to support Khoonda. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I will support the mercenaries whether you like it or not. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. When I want your advice I'll ask for it.
KotORII Icon Handmaiden.png Handmaiden: Then I am glad, but I still disapprove of your actions. Using the tools of deception and manipulation will lead to you the dark side.
Influence Lost: Handmaiden (-8)

If you return:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Are you ready? I won't wait long for you.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I've already finished some of the tasks you asked me to do.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Fine. What are you expecting, a reward? You'll get your payment when you see the job through to the end. The only thing I'm interested in hearing from you is that you are ready for us to begin our assault.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. What is it you want me to do again?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. Why are you attacking Khoonda?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You don't need to know. Suffice it to say, people much more powerful than you or I are paying a great deal of credits to have the job done.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 6. Tell me about yourself.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: I'm not your friend, Jedi. If you're looking for stories, go read a datapad.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 7. I've changed my mind. I won't help you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 8. I'll be going now.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I want payment for helping you.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You will be paid generously after you've done your part and we've taken Khoonda.

Ask Azkul to pay you now, and he leaves:

Impossible 1. [Force Persuade] You will pay me now. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Pay me now, or die!
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: [Failure] Is that supposed to convince me, Jedi? I was trained by the Sith. Your mind tricks won't work on me. KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2

Otherwise, if you started by telling him you're not interested, or later that you've changed your mind:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I'm not interested.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You'd better reconsider. I can't have a Jedi interfering with my plans. There is a considerable bounty on your kind that I will collect on unless you're working for me.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Forget what I said.

If you don't ask him to forget what you said, or what he has in mind:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I cannot allow your plans to succeed. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. Die, mercenary scum!
KotOR Icon Light.png Light Side Points Gained: +2 KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: You could have guided this situation to a better outcome. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: This could have been handled with much more subtlety!
Influence Lost: Kreia (-8)
KotORII Icon Handmaiden.png Handmaiden: I applaud your conviction! A lesser person might have deceived these brutes to avoid battle. KotORII Icon HK-47.png HK-47: Statement: I approve of your style, Master.
Influence Gained: Handmaiden (+8) Influence Gained: HK-47 (+8)
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Men, I trust you can handle this Jedi?

Azkul leaves, but his mercenaries stay and fight.

In any case, if you left Master Vrook back in the cave, or fought him and didn't get the datapad from the mercenary captain's remains afterwards:

Journal Entry Added Defense of Khoonda
You've learned that the mercenaries have entered into a secret alliance with the Exchange. They're planning an attack on Khoonda. All preparations have been made, they're just waiting for a signal. Undoubtedly your actions may have served as a catalyst.

Otherwise, if you want to let Azkul take Khoonda then when you're ready, save game: once the battle begins, the Sensor Search and Farm Equipment quests cannot be completed, and Adum Larp and Akkere will be gone. Azkul will take Khoonda swiftly regardless of anything you've done, but first it's worth returning to Terena Adare in Khoonda at the very least, since she'll give you a key allowing access to a Lab Station in the Medical Lab, and a Workbench in the Defense Droid Station, even after the battle.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Our assault is ready to begin. The fools and cowards of Khoonda won't know what hit them.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You heard the Jedi. Move out men! Come on, Jedi. You're leading the first wave.

Khoonda[edit]

If you return to Khoonda and Terena Adare's Chamber, she is the first to speak unless you fought or left Master Vrook back in the cave:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: I see you have found the elusive Master Vrook. He's told me that his "rescue" complicated our situation to some degree. I can't say that I anticipated that. I thank you for finding him, though. Vrook has informed me that the mercenaries devised a plan of attack to annihilate Khoonda itself. I must ask for your aid again, Jedi. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: You're just in time. Terena told me you've been searching for her "friend." Well, I'm going to have to ask you to put that on hold for now. As I've been telling Terena, I've just received solid proof that the mercenaries are planning to annihilate Khoonda. We need your help.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: I've placed Zherron back in charge of Khoonda's defense. Right or wrong, Zherron is the best man to lead the militia in this crisis.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Zherron says that even with a plan, the mercenaries have to gather their forces then coordinate their assault. So we still have time. I'm afraid the militia has not been adequately trained for the task that befalls them.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Who knows about the attack?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Right now just us and the militia. I don't want to create a needless panic. But be assured I will make sure that all civilians are warned in time so they can get to safety. Though if we lose this battle, nowhere on Dantooine will be safe for settlers for long.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. What can I do to help?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Our militia is effective at peace-keeping but isn't prepared for a full-scale battle. If you can do anything to ready them for the reality of it, that would be helpful. Besides that, look around Khoonda and see what you can do to strengthen our defenses. I know that we don't have the perimeter turrets online, and that alone could make a significant difference. Zherron says there is a considerable chance they will breach Khoonda itself. Anything you can do to slow them down could turn the tide of battle.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Can you give me anything to help?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: I have instructed the militia and other Khoonda personnel that you are to be provided with anything that can be spared. Unfortunately, that isn't much.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I'll check out Khoonda's defenses then.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Here is a master card key that will open all of the security doors inside Khoonda. Anything that might aid you in your task, please use.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Soon all the civilians will be evacuated. So if you have any business with them, I suggest you take care of it. Whenever you are ready to finalize the defenses, talk with Zherron.
Journal Entry Added Defense of Khoonda
The Administrator is desperate for any aid you can give her against the upcoming mercenary attack. Anything you can do around Khoonda will be greatly appreciated.
Item(s) Received Adare
  • Khoonda Security Card Key
This card key opens all of the security doors in Khoonda.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Do you require anything else, Jedi?

Zherron now stands by her, on the right:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I was right about you. You are trouble. But you might just be the right sort of trouble we need. The mercenaries aren't quick to mobilize. So you have time to do what you need. Or are you ready to finalize the defense plans?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Any ideas on what I can do to help?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: We could use people handy with a blaster. Getting people to join the militia for a short stint would be good. We also got a lot of things that could use fixing. It isn't glamorous, but that type of work sometimes makes a load of difference. Just look around. Plenty to be done.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I'm not interested in fixing things.

Otherwise:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What kind of things need fixing? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Well what are they?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Off the top of my head...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: The three turrets outside Khoonda are on the blink. They went haywire the other day and wounded some of my men, so we took them offline.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: The men who were wounded by the turrets are holed up in the med lab, but our medic droid is busted, so they're healing slowly.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I've had some men lay traps around Khoonda, but nobody here really specializes in demolitions. I'm sure there are some gaps that could be filled.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: The side security door to Khoonda has been malfunctioning as long as I've been here. It may be best to just seal it off lockdown, so nobody gets through.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: We've got some broken Assault droids that have been collecting dust for the last five years. If they were working, it would help a lot with interior defense.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: If I had it my way, I'd recruit any citizen of Khoonda that can hold a blaster. But it's hard to convince peaceful farmers to fight, and maybe die, for a cause.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. How much time do I have?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I don't know for certain. It could be a day, or even a week. Depends on how good Azkul is at organizing his men. I'm guessing not so good.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. What's involved with finalizing the defenses?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Inspecting the perimeter, talking to the troops, and coming up with a battle plan. I've fought in a war or two, but I'm no general. In my experience people like you are better at strategy. You want a hand in making the plan, you got it.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. I've done some things around Khoonda to help with its defense.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: That's good to hear. Fill me in on the details when you're ready to finalize our battle plans.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I want payment for my services.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I'm sure Terena will be more than happy to pay you once the mercenary threat is resolved.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 6. I'm going to see what I can do.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: When you're ready, come back and we can talk about the final plans to defend Khoonda.

When you're ready, save game: once the battle begins, the Sensor Search and Farm Equipment quests cannot be completed, the Cave Crawling and Ghosts to Rest quests can only be completed if you don't let Azkul take Khoonda, Adum Larp will be gone and so will Akkere if he doesn't survive.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I'm ready to finalize the battle plans.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: You sure? Once we're done with that, there may not be any time left before the mercenaries attack.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'm certain. I've done all I can. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. On second thought...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: All right, then we've got a lot to do. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: That's fine. Better take care of anything you need to first.

Master Vrook stands to the left of Terena Adare, unless you fought him back in the cave:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: You heard what the Administrator said, each of us has to do what they can to aid in the defense of Khoonda. See where you can lend a hand. We'll have time to talk more when this is all over.

A militia member still flanks her to the right, but now only says the following within Khoonda:

We've been told to provide you with anything you need. But we have to keep the news of the mercenaries' plans quiet for now to avoid panic.

If you speak to Berun Modrul, standing on the corner at the left end of Khoonda's bottom corridor:

Zherron was right about the mercenaries all along. I guess my ego clouded my judgement as to what's best for Khoonda.

Khoonda: Traps[edit]

If you weren't lying to Azkul in the Khoonda Plains when you said you'd help him:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
Azkul, the mercenary leader, asked you to defuse the traps that the militia has set around Khoonda.

Regardless of how you left Azkul, when you approach Khoonda again you'll find a minefield has been set on its right side:

Awareness Average Frag Mine (6) Detect 15 (-5) Demolitions Disable 20 (0) Recover 30 (10)

These mines are friendly but they can be recovered (but not disabled), or triggered with Disable or Destroy Droid. Another minefield has been set on Khoonda's left side, outside its main entrance:

Awareness Average Frag Mine (6) Detect 15 (-5) Demolitions Disable 20 (0) Recover 30 (10)

Otherwise, if you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
Zherron suggested planting more traps outside the Khoonda outpost to help defend against the Mercenary attack. Plant the traps near where the other traps are set on the East and West sides of Khoonda.

If you set at least four more mines of any kind in each minefield:

[The West minefield has enough mines now.] [The East minefield has enough mines now.]

Once the Battle of Khoonda has begun, if you recovered every mine, or there are at least 10 set in both the west and east minefields:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
You've defused all of the traps surrounding Khoonda. Azkul and his men will be able to charge to the doors of Khoonda without watching where they step.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
The minefield around Khoonda has been significantly augmented. The mercenaries will have to think twice before charging into Khoonda.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 200 Defused all traps surrounding Khoonda
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 200 Minefield around Khoonda significantly augmented

If you didn't recover every mine, or there aren't at least 10 in each minefield:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
You've defused some of the traps surrounding Khoonda, but some still remain. Time has run out and the attack has begun.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
You've planted some additional traps outside Khoonda, but time has run out and the battle has begun.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 100 Defused some traps surrounding Khoonda
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 100 Planted some additional traps outside Khoonda

If you did nothing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Traps
You didn't significantly augment or defuse the minefields around Khoonda before the battle began.

Khoonda: Gun Turrets[edit]

If you told Azkul in the Khoonda Plains that you'd help him:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Gun Turrets
Azkul, the leader of the mercenaries, wants you to disable the three gun turrets around Khoonda.

There are three defense turrets mounted on pillars outside Khoonda in the plains, at its top right and top and bottom left corners:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Defense Turret: There is no access port here for this turret, so it must be controlled from inside the Khoonda outpost.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Leave it alone.

Otherwise:

Demolitions 1. [Demolitions (9)] Sabotage the turret.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Defense Turret: [Success] You've rigged the turret to overload the next time it fires. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Defense Turret: [Failure] Your demolitions skill is too low.
You've rigged the turret to overload the next time it tries to fire.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Gun Turrets
You rigged the gun turrets to explode when they are activated.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 250 Rigged gun turrets to explode

Otherwise, if you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Gun Turrets
Zherron told you that the gun turrets outside the Khoonda outpost are malfunctioning.

You can now use the Khoonda Security Card Key to open the security door in the top wall at the right end of Khoonda's bottom corridor. The Turret Control Station is by the left wall of the room beyond:

If you didn't sabotage all gun turrets, or did nothing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Gun Turrets
You didn't repair or disable all of the gun turrets around Khoonda before the battle began.

Garage[edit]

In the right wall opposite the Turret Control Station, there's a door in the top corner, to the garage. The door in the garage's right wall is the Khoonda Garage Entrance, which can be used to exit to the Khoonda Plains on the right side, closest to Azkul. If you try to use the door to enter Khoonda again, it locked behind you.

Khoonda: Side Door[edit]

If you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Side Door
Zherron worries that the side security door will be easily breached by the Mercenaries.

The Khoonda Side Security Entrance is outside Khoonda, in its top wall to the right. If you haven't already opened or locked down this security door, then you can do so now without interference from the militia:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Security Door: This security door is malfunctioning. It would be relatively easy to hack open this door, but you'd never get it to close again. The security of this building would be compromised.
Computer Use 1. [Security] Open the security door. (2 Spike(s)) Repair 2. [Repair] Lock down the security door. (4 Part(s))

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Leave it alone.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Side Door
You've defeated the lock on the side security door. It is now stuck open, which may compromise the security of Khoonda.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Side Door

Once the Battle of Khoonda has begun, if you did nothing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Side Door
You didn't alter the side security door before the Battle of Khoonda began.

After the battle, the side security door is locked and you cannot enter storage, regardless of the outcome.

Storage[edit]

If you opened Khoonda's side security door, then you can enter the top left corner of a storage area. There are four large lockers along the top wall in the right corner, and four metal boxes by the right wall, two of which are locked:

Khoonda: Militia Medic[edit]

If you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Militia Medic
Zherron told you that several of his Militia were injured by a gun turret malfunction. The injured soldiers are in the Medical Lab at the Khoonda outpost.

You can now use the Khoonda Security Card Key to open the security door near the middle of the top wall of Khoonda's top corridor, and enter the medical lab. There's a stuck door in the lower right wall, to Storage:

This door appears to be stuck closed.

There's a Lab Station in the middle of the top wall, flanked by beds containing four wounded militia soldiers, two to each side, and a medical droid in the middle.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Wounded Militia: Unghh...

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What happened to you?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Wounded Militia: The gun turret... malfunctioned. Hurt us bad.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I'll be going now.

Surprisingly, you can still speak to the soldiers and treat them individually, moving closer to the light side of the Force but receiving no further experience. Otherwise, once the Battle of Khoonda has begun, if you treated all soldiers:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Militia Medic
You've treated the injuries of the wounded soldiers. They should be on their feet in no time.

Khoonda: Droids[edit]

If you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Droids
Zherron mentioned that many of the droids in the Khoonda outpost are in poor repair.

You can now use the Khoonda Security Card Key to open the security door at the right end of Khoonda's top corridor, and enter the Defense Droid Station & Workbench, which is by the right wall in the bottom corner. There are two broken droids lying by the bottom wall, another to the left of the workbench by the right wall, and another to the right of the Droid Control Station in the top left corner.

Item(s) Received Broken Droid (4)

There are two defense droids by the top wall, and another by the right wall:

Akkere's Hydrospanner[edit]

If you took Akkere's hydrospanner when you reactivated a second defense droid in Khoonda's Defense Droid Station:

Journal Entry Added Akkere's Hydrospanner: Bonus Mission
While repairing the defense droids within Khoonda, you discovered a hydrospanner lodged inside one of the droids. The tool has the name "Akkere" written on the handle. Perhaps you should ask Akkere what his hydrospanner was doing inside a defense droid. He should still be just outside Khoonda.

Akkere can be found outside, at the top right corner of the Khoonda building:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. I found this hydrospanner. It has your name on it.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: Ah, you found my tool. Yes, I've been looking for that! Where did you find it?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Inside of a broken droid. What is your explanation? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Don't toy with me! I know you have been stripping these droids for parts and selling them.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: Ah, I've been caught. Yes, I am guilty of stripping the droids and selling their parts, but I have a good reason!
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Tell me.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: I have received terrible news. My brother's second wife is with child. She has become ill and requires medical aid. Her condition is life-threatening. The doctors of Telos will not treat her without full payment up front. But my brother doesn't have any money. Before the moon has turned, I must send my brother enough credits to pay the doctors. Believe me, I am normally a very honest person. But this situation has made me desperate. Please. You believe me, don't you?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. You can repay Khoonda for your crimes by joining the Militia.

Otherwise:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I believe you. I won't turn you in. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I believe you. Please take 500 credits to help you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Never mind. I won't turn you in.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. What will you give me for keeping your crime quiet?

Killing Akkere is psychotic. If you already bought the thorium charges, then you receive the 1000 credits you paid for them instead. This quest can still be completed after the Battle of Khoonda, but only if Akkere survives (you must finalize battle plans with Zherron back in Khoonda, and fight Azkul and his mercenaries).

Khoonda: Recruiting[edit]

If you returned to Terena Adare's chamber in Khoonda and asked Zherron what needed fixing:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
Zherron told you that the Militia is stretched too thin to defend the outpost from the impending Mercenary attack. Zherron wants to recruit people to defend the outpost.

If the salvager Jorran survived the Enclave sublevel and he's still speaking to you, then you can recruit him from the salvager camp in the courtyard outside:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Jorran: I hadn't even thought of that. I know the militia will take just about anyone. I need the credits and would like working with people who'll actually watch your back. I want to think it through, but I think I just might go to Khoonda and sign up. Thanks for the idea! KotORII Icon Dialog.png Jorran: I'm still thinking about it. I probably will, though. I certainly could use a few more credits, and if the militia will have me, well... that would be something.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
You told Jorran he could earn some money by joining the Militia.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 100 Told Jorran he could earn money by joining Militia

If you return to Suulru, standing by the bottom wall of the bottom waiting room on the right side of Khoonda's reception, and try to recruit him:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Suulru: Khoonda hasn't ever done anything to help me. If I ever did return to soldiering, I'd want to do it for something I believed in. No, I'm not interested.

However, once you've returned his Farm Equipment from Jorran:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Suulru: Thanks for the help. I plan on going back to the farm shortly.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Suulru: Since you're asking me, I suppose I could. I figure I still owe you for helping me with my thief problem. Zherron has asked me several times before to join the militia. I expect he's going to be very pleased.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
Suulru will join the militia.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 100 Suulru joined militia
I thought I'd put my soldiering days behind me forever. I'm both dreading and looking forward to this battle.

Returning Suulru's evaporator modulator also allows you to recruit Dillan, standing outside by Khoonda's left wall, above its main entrance (otherwise, she refuses):

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dillan: Well, since you're asking, absolutely not! I'll lie low until the dust settles. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dillan: Yeah, I guess so. I'm not too fond of my job, but it's better than the job I'd have if the mercs took over. I'll report to Zherron for militia duty. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dillan: I already told you I would. Quit nagging me!
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
Dillan has agreed to join the militia.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 100 Dillan agreed to join militia

Finally there's Akkere, standing outside the Khoonda building by its top right corner:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 6. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: I can hardly refuse, since you are keeping a disgraceful secret for me. I will report to Zherron after I have sent credits to my brother.

Otherwise, it will cost you:

Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: I am merely passing through. A permanent job is not something I am looking for. I have great sympathy for these beleaguered people, but I can't resist the call of the stars. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: My answer has not changed. I will join the militia for a short time to help.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Never mind then, I have to go.

Otherwise:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. This isn't a permanent job. Very short term, but dangerous. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Think of it as easy credits for a few days of work.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: My dilemma is that I have all these extra items to sell, and little room to store them while I am doing other things, such as fighting for the militia.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I think I can see where this is headed. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. So you want me to buy stuff from you? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. You can store your wares on my ship.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: Thanks, however I must decline your gracious offer. We Sullustan are trusting, but not fools.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: I have these thorium charges taking up storage space, because there is simply no market for them here in Dantooine. Thorium charges are high-grade explosives. While they cannot blast through modern doors and force fields, they are very useful for clearing stone and vegetation.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: I offer you the thorium charges for the modest, and unnegotiable, price of 1000 credits. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. I'd like to buy the thorium charges.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: Excellent. The price is still 1000 credits.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I can't spare that much right now. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. No thanks.

Otherwise:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'll take them. KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Lost: 1000
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: You are an excellent customer. I will talk with Zherron right away and offer my support for his cause. The settlers here have been most hospitable. I will help if I can.
Item(s) Received Akkere
  • Thorium Charges

There are others you can ask, but they all refuse:

Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Tarn: You again... What do you want? I'm busy!
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Would you like to join the Khoonda Militia?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Tarn: Nope, I'm way too busy to die.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Would you be interested in joining the Khoonda militia?
Khoonda Plains Khoonda Enclave Courtyard
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Pato Ado: Like many Ithorians, I am a pacifist. Some of the duties of the militia require violence. This is something I cannot do. I wish them well, however. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Adum Larp: I think you have mistaken me for a warrior, sentient. My excellent weapons are perfect for defense. But I have survived many hardships by not seeking out conflicts. I must decline. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Daraala: You aren't serious are you? I'll assume it's a joke, because you don't look that dumb. No I won't join any flaming militia. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Ralon: I... uh... have no real desire to put myself in harm's way for Dantooine. They haven't exactly made the salvagers' stay here pleasant.

Once the Battle of Khoonda has begun, if you finalized battle plans with Zherron back in Khoonda and recruited at least one to fight for the militia, or all four:

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
You made some effort to recruit people for the militia. Time will tell if it will be enough to hold Khoonda against the onslaught of Azkul's mercenaries.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
Zherron now has plenty of new recruits to help defend Khoonda.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 200 Made some effort to recruit people for militia
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 500 Zherron has plenty of new recruits

If you finalized battle plans with Zherron but recruited no one, or returned to Azkul in the Khoonda Plains and told him your assault was ready to begin (regardless of the number recruited):

Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
The militia didn't gain any new recruits. Zherron and his men may have a difficult time defending Khoonda against the superior numbers and firepower of Azkul's mercenaries.
Journal Entry Added Khoonda: Recruiting
Azkul's battle plan is complete and the Battle of Khoonda has begun. With your help, the mercenaries should manage to eliminate the Khoonda opposition. Any new recruits the militia gained will be dispatched along with the rest.

Battle of Khoonda[edit]

If you finalized battle plans with Zherron back in Khoonda, then you wait outside its main entrance for Azkul's attack. If you rescued Master Vrook back in the cave:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Since you are here to bolster Khoonda's defense, I will hurry to the mercenary camp and delay their assault however I can.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I imagine that the mercenaries have got two goals in this whole thing. Kill me and kill the administrator. The rest of the settlers won't have courage to resist if they succeed.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. There isn't anyone else that can rally the settlers?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: It's not that the settlers aren't good people. Many folk just don't have the fighting mentality. They'd rather just make people happy and get along. But there isn't any getting along with Azkul, he's out for blood and taking the place over. So we got to protect the Administrator. Khoonda can go on without me, but not without her.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Go on. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. So what's the plan? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. There isn't anyone else that can rally the settlers?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: The Administrator's locked up in her office tight. Which means that the mercs have to go through us and Khoonda's defenses. Thanks to you, they're gonna have a tougher job. That's about it. Now we just need to dig in and wait for the mercs to come.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I'm ready!

Otherwise:

Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Do I have time to do anything else?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Afraid not. We don't have much time. We got reports that Azkul is almost ready.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Have you talked with the men?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Well, I'll tell them what's there to do. I'm not much for words.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. [Persuade] I think they could use some encouragement. Maybe I could speak to them.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: [Success] All right, I'll assemble the men. I hope you can speak good.
Persuade 1. [Persuade (16)] Tell them this is their chance to make history.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Dantooine's short history has been a constant tale of rugged people surmounting difficult odds. Never have the odds been so great, or the future so uncertain...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. ... But today is your chapter, your tale. Generations yet born will look upon the upcoming battle with pride and wonder...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. ... I will not lie, the risks are great. The threat real, but I would stand beside any one of you proudly as we face our destiny on this field of battle...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. ... This is our day, our valiant chance to free Dantooine. Who will fight beside me?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I don't have the words. That was really something. I think any one of them would take a blaster bolt for you now.
Persuade 2. [Persuade (11)] Remind them their friends and family are counting on them.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What we're about to is dangerous, but important. Important for friends and family. Enemies want to take everything worth taking from you, and we have to give it our all to stop them...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. ... so look around you. That's what we're fighting for. Each one of us has to back the other up. We can win this if we work as a team.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: You're much better with words than me. I think it'll really help.
Persuade 3. [Persuade (5)] Warn them not to get killed.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'm really not good at this. But the one thing I've learned is... just don't get shot. Uh... that's it, really.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I was expecting something more, but you did better than I ever have. You reminded me of my instructor in the Mandalorian Wars.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. [Persuade/Intimidate] Tell them they're doomed.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Nothing hurts more than a blaster shot to the groin. If you've never been shot, there are no words to describe how much pain you're going to feel...
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. ... and there are many other ways you can get maimed and seriously injured. I expect most of us are going to die today, so you might want to think about all the things you care about. It won't matter soon. Uh... That's it, really.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: I'm no speaker... But I don't think that helped much. That's the way the militia acts every time I give a speech, too.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Let's get ready for the mercenaries. If we fall here, all of Dantooine falls with us.

After the battle in the plains, you confront Azkul outside Terena Adare's Chamber. Azkul stands in the top half of the corridor with three mercenaries, while Dopak stands in the bottom half with three more:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: So, Jedi. I take it you are responsible for the surprises we've had during this battle. Stand aside. Our quarrel is with the distinguished Administrator. This isn't your problem.
Impossible 1. [Force Persuade] You don't want to fight. Throw down your weapons.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: [Failure] Is that supposed to convince me, Jedi? I was trained by the Sith. My unit killed many Jedi. I'll give you one last chance. Leave the Administrator to her fate.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. Why do you want her dead?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: She's inconvenient and doesn't know the chain of command. She will pay for that.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. Give me a reason to get out of your way.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: We could kill you. But I think you'd slaughter at least four of my men. Recruitment fees are 250 credits per man. So 1000 credits for us to avoid the hassle of replacing those men. Do we have a deal?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. 4 of your men? That's an insult.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You look capable for a Jedi. Fine. A full squad of eight, then. 2000 credits.

You can stand aside:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 6. She means nothing to me. Go ahead and kill her. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. 1000 credits works for me. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. You can live for 2000 credits.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 1000 KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 2000
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Sensible. I will order my men to leave you be. Now if you'll excuse me. KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -6

Otherwise you must fight:

Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. You can still back away. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I won't let you kill her.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You have no idea who you're talking to. I was going to spare your worthless life. I see I was in error. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Then you've allied with these flaming settlers. The galaxy doesn't tolerate weakness.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. How much is your life worth? You'll die first. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. Not enough of a reason. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. You'll have to do better - I've been known to kill five times that number.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: That isn't a possibility. This is going nowhere. You could've lived. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: This is going nowhere. You could've lived. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: That was my final offer, Jedi. Let's see the value of your boasts.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: I was trained at Malak's academy. Your tricks won't work on me. You're just another dead Jedi to me.

If you persuaded Zherron to trust you after telling him Berun asked you to investigate him, before speaking to the mercenary captain back in the cave, then gave Zherron's message to Dopak before the battle began:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: I didn't sign on for this cold-blooded slaughter, Azkul.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: I was wondering when you would betray me, Dopak. I'll send your final wages to your children, along with a detonator.

Dopak is now with you. If you rescued Master Vrook back in the cave, then he returns:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Sorry I was held up. But it looks like I've arrived in time to pull you out of your predicament.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Kill them all.

Aside from your party, your remaining allies are Berun Modrul at the bottom of the corridor, the four wounded militia soldiers from the Medical Lab (even if they were immobilized, although they'll only have 50% Vitality if they weren't healed), any reactivated defense droids at the top of the corridor (which still target hostiles, even if reprogrammed to defend them), and any recruits (a friendly mercenary is also added for each recruit).

Master Vrook and Jorran cannot be killed, and any defense droids have Damage Resistance: Resist 15/- vs. Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing, and a Droid Unity Grid if you activated shields. If Akkere is killed, then you won't find thorium charges on his remains.

Once all enemies are killed, you enter Terena Adare's chamber:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Thank you so much for your aid. You can be sure that Dantooine will not forget how the Jedi protected us from this threat.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. "The Jedi"? It was just one Jedi, actually. And I am considered an outcast by other Jedi.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: I'm sorry to offend you. You are, of course, our savior and I am very grateful to you.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I am happy to help. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Keep your thanks. Where is my reward for helping you?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: We are a humble community, and this conflict has greatly diminished our resources. I hope this reward will be sufficient.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. [Take the 4000 credits] That will do. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. If it weren't for me you would be missing your head, dear Administrator. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Please keep the credits and use them to rebuild Khoonda. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. Keep the money and use it to build a statue of me, in honor of my heroism.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Thank you again, brave Jedi. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: That is true I suppose. I can offer a little more. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: I am humbled by your generosity. I will put this to good use. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: Um, okay... Certainly. I will commission a great statue of your likeness.

You now meet with Master Vrook. If you return to Terena Adare afterwards:

You are always welcome here, Jedi.

Zherron still stands below her, on the right:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Zherron: Thanks for your help with the Mercenaries. I hope someday I'll be able to return the favor.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I cleared out the kinrath cave. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I want to talk about the dead salvagers' claim. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I'll be going.

If Berun Modrul survived then he still stands at the bottom corner of the corridor outside the chamber:

Zherron was right about the mercenaries all along. I guess my ego clouded my judgement as to what's best for Khoonda.

If Dopak survived then he still stands in the bottom half of the corridor outside:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: It was pretty brave of you to stand up to Azkul like that. Your resolve made me finally take action against him.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What will you do now?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: I plan to leave Dantooine with as many of my men as will come with me, and look for some work that is more honorable than wholesale slaughter of civilians.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Good luck to you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Thank you for joining me in the battle. Your aid made the difference between success and defeat. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I could have defeated Azkul without your help.

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I'll be going now. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: I'm happy to hear that, I really am. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: Oh, sure. You are a powerful Jedi after all.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Dopak: Thanks again. And good luck to you.
Thanks again. And good luck to you.

If Suulru was recruited and survived then he now stands by the left wall of Khoonda's reception, above its main entrance, but you cannot speak to him. If you speak to any militia, either inside or outside Khoonda:

I saw you fighting the mercenaries. Just amazing! I wish I were a Jedi too! Those mercenaries were pushovers.

If Dillan survived and you speak to her, standing outside by Khoonda's left wall, above its main entrance:

That was some intense fighting. I'm glad we both made it through... and the mercenaries didn't.

If Akkere survived and you speak to him, standing outside at the top right corner of Khoonda:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Akkere: Ah, it's the war hero! If you need any of my goods, my prices will be as low as always. Especially for you.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you sell? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I'd like to buy the thorium charges. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I found this hydrospanner. It has your name on it. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I'll be going now.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'd like to see your wares.

The docking bay is populated as before, although the mechanic Tarn will no longer talk to you:

You! You're one of those cursed soldiers that tore up Khoonda! Now I have to fix everything you busted! I'll bet you weren't thinking of that!

If you speak to Saedhe, at the Crash Site on the left side at the right end of the Khoonda plains:

Thanks for the helping out the militia.

In the Enclave courtyard, the Mercenary Camp at its right end is now only populated by Esok and the two other Mandalorians, but the Salvager Camp at its left end is unchanged (unless Jorran was recruited, but didn't survive):

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Daraala: I heard you were responsible for driving the mercenaries off this rock. That's good. Dantooine was getting to crowded for my tastes. I've still got some Jedi junk left to sell. You buying?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'd like to see what you're selling. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I'll be going now.

Azkul[edit]

If you returned to Azkul in the Khoonda Plains and told him your assault was ready to begin, then he and his mercenaries swiftly take Khoonda, regardless of anything else you've done. However, Master Vrook then confronts you. Once you've defeated him, you meet Azkul outside Terena Adare's Chamber:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You should have let him live. He would have fetched a fine price on Nar Shaddaa. Khoonda is ours, thanks in part to your assistance. Here, take your reward, Jedi.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. I am ashamed that I helped you. I won't take your blood money. KotOR Icon Light.png Light Side Points Gained: +4
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Your moral dilemma is none of my concern. Thanks again for your assistance.

Otherwise:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I want more credits. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: I don't see why I should give you more credits.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. [Take the 8000 credits] Thank you. High (Dominate Mind) 4. [Force Persuade] I deserve more credits.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You deserve more credits. You'll get fifty percent more.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Thanks again for your assistance.

Otherwise:

Persuade 2. [Persuade (20)] I practically handed Khoonda to you on a platter. Don't you think I deserve more credits? Low (Affect Mind) 4. [Force Persuade] You will give me more credits.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: [Success] Fine, greedy Jedi. You'll get fifty percent more. Take it and go! KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: [Failure] I'm already giving you more than you deserve. Take it and go! KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: [Failure] Pathetic, Jedi. Try your mind tricks on weak-minded fools like yourself. Take these credits and go!
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 8000 KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 12000

In every case:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Now if you'll excuse me. I have a date with the Administrator, and I'm dressed to kill.

Azkul enters Terene Adare's chamber, and the door closes behind him:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Terena Adare: The Republic won't stand for what you've done here. You'll pay for your crimes.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: I was going to make it a painless death. But you've been much more difficult than you had to be. Now you're going to pay.

If you didn't rescue Master Vrook back in the cave but you did finalize battle plans with Zherron back in Khoonda, and then stood aside to let Azkul take Khoonda, then Master Vrook confronts you now.

If you return to Terene Adare's chamber and speak to Azkul:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: You're free to go, Jedi. Just don't cause any trouble for us, or I will collect on that bounty. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Azkul: Our business is concluded, Jedi.

Back outside the chamber, Dopak from the Mercenary Camp in the Enclave courtyard now stands in the bottom half of Khoonda's left corridor:

I've got nothing more to say to you.

There's a mercenary standing to either side of the chamber door, and mercenaries are now the only others present in and around Khoonda:

[The mercenary just grumbles at you.]

Outside on the Khoonda plains, only the docking bay is populated as before, although the mechanic Tarn will no longer talk to you:

You! You're one of those cursed soldiers that tore up Khoonda! Now I have to fix everything you busted! I'll bet you weren't thinking of that!

Akkere's remains can be found by the top right corner of Khoonda.

In the Enclave courtyard, the Mercenary Camp at its right end is now only populated by Esok and the two other Mandalorians, but the Salvager Camp at its left end is unchanged:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Daraala: I heard you were responsible for driving the settlers off this rock. Thanks. Now we can salvage all we like free of Khoonda's regulations and fees. I've still got some Jedi junk left to sell. You buying?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I'd like to see what you're selling. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I'll be going now.

Lost Jedi[edit]

If you fought or left Master Vrook back in the cave, or told Azkul your assault was ready to begin back in the Khoonda Plains, then Master Vrook confronts you in Khoonda's reception after locking all doors:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I should have stopped you long ago. Your machinations end here, outcast!
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Don't make me kill you Vrook. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. You've lived too long, old man. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I thought you were going to be shipped off to Nar Shaddaa?

Jedi Master Robe Regenerate Force Points1 + Lightsaber, Green

Weapon Proficiency: Lightsaber Master Flurry

Destroy Droid Force Wave 42 Force Breach Master Heal

None of your party engage, even if present. Master Vrook rarely if ever uses his Force powers, and starts with the joint highest Defense in the game (your level + 23). Once he's been reduced to less than 50% Vitality, if you are a Jedi Consular, Jedi Master or Sith Lord then you learn the Force form he's using, otherwise you learn the lightsaber form he's using (which can give him the highest Defense in the game if it grants a net Defense bonus):

Dialog
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: Note the strength of his Force powers. He is desperate to finish you quickly, so he uses a potent form of the Force. Defeat him by going on the defensive and absorbing his attacks with the Force. He will quickly run out of energy and then you can finish him easily. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: He is being typically cautious. He isn't sure of your strengths and weaknesses, so he is using a force form that grants him greater affinity to the Force. This allows him to more quickly regenerate his energies. Don't be drawn into a long battle. Once you understand his technique, attack him aggressively while he dawdles. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: He may appear stronger in the Force than you, but this is merely an illusion granted by a certain mastery of the Force. The powers he uses against you will not directly harm you, but he seeks to weaken and confound you. Exploit the weakness of his form by using your own Force powers against him.
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: He is overconfident. Observe how he handles his lightsaber. He is using Ataru, an aggressive form, best suited for single opponents. You can easily defeat him by encircling him with your companions or by using blaster fire. Be wary of his Power Attack, however, as it is further enhanced using this form. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: You have him on the defensive. He uses the Shien form. Study his movements carefully and try to emulate them. This form will be useful when you face multiple opponents or ranged attack. Shien also allows you to make more devastating critical attacks. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: It would serve you well to assimilate the style this Jedi is demonstrating. It is called Niman, and it is a very balanced form. Niman offers none of the specific strengths of other forms, but neither does it have their weaknesses. KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: Predictably, he seeks to unbalance you with his erratic attacks. His technique is called Juyo, the most chaotic of the lightsaber forms. This form sacrifices much to bolster offense, leaving one exposed to attack by the Force. He has made a grave error in assuming you lack the power to harm him with the Force.

Master Vrook notices:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Are you arrogant enough to think you can divide your attention while fighting me?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I am studying your technique. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. One can learn much simply from observing their opponent. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Your form is about as subtle as a charging boma. I will show you how it is done.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: You think you can learn my technique just by watching me? It takes a Jedi Master years to perfect it.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Nevertheless, I have learned your form, and I will use it to kill you and the rest of the Jedi. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. It takes years for Jedi to learn anything, restrained as they are by the Jedi Code.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: It's not possible. You... you must be stopped.

Master Vrook starts using Master Heal, healing 70 Vitality per use at level 24. Once he's defeated (for which you receive no experience), you subconsciously drain Force power from him:

Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. What was that? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. I feel stronger... what happened? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. My perceptions feel strange - expanded.
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: It is something the Sith, the assassins that stalk us, can do- it is of the dark side, the ability to feed on life, the Force, the closer one comes to it. It makes them stronger - for a time.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. But how do I know how to do it? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. What technique is it? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I've never done anything like that before.
KotORII Icon Kreia.png Kreia: Not all techniques in the Force are learned through practice and training - this is something instinctual, born from experience. It is a way that they fill the hollow places where the Force used to be.
Maximum Force Points Increased (+25)

Afterwards, Master Vrook's remains are in reception.

Otherwise, if you rescued Master Vrook back in the cave and finalized battle plans with Zherron back in Khoonda, then Master Vrook speaks to you instead (even if you subsequently let Azkul take Khoonda):

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Khoonda is safe in no small part due to you. I feel certain that the Administrator wouldn't have made it without your assistance. I may have misjudged you. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: There was little could be done about the Administrator's death. Jedi can turn the tide of a battle, but we were never meant to fight a war by ourselves. The Dantooine settlers will have to find new strength amongst them, otherwise... Otherwise who knows how long they'll last.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: In any case, I am free to talk about whatever you wish.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 6. At the end of my trial, you and the other Masters said something had happened to me. What was it?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: You have seen the end of your trial? Perhaps you would like to explain how you came to this knowledge.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I heard it in a holo-transcription of my trial. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. It doesn't matter. If you know, tell me.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: That was intended only for the Jedi Council. If what remains of the Council chooses to tell you, then I will abide by their decision... and its consequences.
Persuade 1. [Persuade (12)] Don't you think I have a right to know?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: [Success] There is little I can tell you. Master Kavar felt something had happened to you in the war, but all he had were suspicions, not truths. And Kavar was too close to you in any event - he, too, felt the call of war and took to battle more than a Jedi should. His speculations would not help you now. But enough of this - it is knowledge for the Council alone until they choose to reveal it. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: [Failure] Are you listening? I can't tell you more. The knowledge would not help you anyway.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. I want to talk about something else. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: You have more questions for me?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Where are all the Jedi?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: There are a few of us left. But I do not even know if the others still live... we may be the last. We have been forced to divide our forces and retreat to places which will be difficult for our enemies to detect - and attack.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Where are these other Jedi?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: We have chosen to hide our presences from each other, so that the discovery of one will not endanger the others.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. But how can you contact each other? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. There must be a way to assemble all the Jedi.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: We cannot. And we have resolved not to until we have found where the Sith are striking from. But even as our numbers thin, there is still no trace of them. We had hoped to outmaneuver them. By letting them believe themselves victorious, we thought they would become bold and step from the shadows.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. And what then?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Then, all of us who remained vowed to meet here on Dantooine. From here, we can plan a course of action and carry the battle to them. But so far, they remain in hiding. And Jedi continue to vanish - and die.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. What happened to the Jedi?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: We are at war, but it is unlike any war we have fought before - we have yet to even meet our attackers in battle. Somehow, our enemy is targeting us through the Force, striking, then retreating to the shadows. The gathering of any Jedi seems to attract them like a beacon. So it was necessary to divide our forces and conceal ourselves for a time until we could learn more of this threat.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Why did you come to Dantooine?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Great tragedies, old battlegrounds... places of suffering, all leave wounds on the galaxy and in the Force. In such places, the deaths of so many echo, so much so that it is difficult to center oneself. By coming here, those echoes served to mask my presence, allowing me to investigate the ruins and try to find some clues as to who our attackers are.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Is this why the Jedi are not gathered together? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Like on Katarr? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. But if you can mask your presence here, couldn't the other Jedi?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Yes... the Miraluka world of Katarr taught us that. Many Jedi gathered there, in an attempt to use the Force to find the location of the enemy. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: How did you know of Katarr? Few knew it was one of the gathering worlds for the Jedi. But yes, Katarr was one such place. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: The Miraluka world of Katarr taught us a terrible lesson. Many Jedi gathered there, in an attempt to use the Force to find the location of the enemy.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Now the planet is no more. Master Zhar... Master Dorak... and many more perished there, and we do not know why or how. But all life on the planet ceased to exist. I was not on Katarr when it was destroyed. But now that it is dead, it has left its echo, like Dantooine. It was after Katarr that the few of us left realized that wherever we gathered, we were placing others in danger - not just Jedi.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. Why are you in hiding?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: We were not in hiding, despite what you believe. This threat is striking through the Force. There is a reason that we cannot detect it - it is somehow masking its presence from us.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. How is that possible?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I do not know. There are techniques in the Force that hide one's presence and thoughts from other Force users. But I do not believe that such techniques alone would be capable of hiding the enemies we face - it does not seem possible.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. So why are you here?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Jedi sanctuaries, places of learning, conclaves - many of them secret, have been attacked. That requires that our enemy knew of our whereabouts - or had access to records and holocrons from the Enclave here on Dantooine.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Holocrons? KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. How would they have had access?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: There was much Jedi teaching buried here before the planet was attacked. In the hands of our enemies, such knowledge could be used to track and kill Jedi, find other Enclaves, gathering places. And so much has been plundered from here, that now many secrets of the Jedi have been spread throughout the galaxy. So I did what I could, attempting to let myself be captured. I hoped that it would lead me to the Sith, and the stolen artifacts.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Did you find any presence of the Sith on Dantooine?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: The Sith attacked this place once, and only they would seek the death of the Jedi with such obsession - and be able to be as successful as they have. But the destruction of Dantooine - it is difficult to sense the presence of any Force users here. If any Sith are here, I cannot detect them.
Awareness 1. [Awareness (12)] But that is not the only reason you came to Dantooine.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Yes... perhaps I wished to see this place one more time - it has changed much, as I knew it had. But I had to see it for myself.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 4. I need to know why you cast me out of the Order.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Because you defied the Council and followed Revan to war. And from that war, came another. Do you know how many worlds were destroyed in those wars - Dantooine? Telos? Serroco? Do you see now why we counseled caution, instead of action? You were the only one to come back and face judgment. But that was because you had lost your connection to the Force - another casualty of war. No doubt you still blame us for your exile - I had hoped your isolation would give you time to reflect on what had happened, what you had done. But I see it has not.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 5. Why did you cut me off from the Force?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: We did nothing to you. Accuse us if you will, but it will not change the truth. Cutting one off from the Force - such punishments are reserved for only a few. Although it was within our power, we did not inflict such a loss upon you. Your loss was a casualty of war, no more.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Then what happened to me?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Perhaps that is a question you should ask yourself. It is not something I could help you with, even if I wanted to.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. But I have reestablished my connection to the Force.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Perhaps it is Dantooine, but I do not feel such from you - I feel nothing but what I felt in the Council judgment chamber on Coruscant, so long ago. Still, you and your... connections were often a subject of debate in the Council. It is possible that returning to known space, journeying with others, has caused the Force to stir within you again.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 7. Do you know anything of Force Bonds... and how to end them?
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Force Bonds? Yes... it is the bond that grows between Master and student. Are you saying you have bonded with another?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Yes, and the connection is lethal.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Such bonds normally grant strength to both - but not to such a degree. Are you certain? Perhaps it is merely what you believe. Still... your ability to form such connections, to influence others, was always a subject of discussion, even when you were a student here. Perhaps it is a punishment of a sort. But a bond that ties two lives together... such bonds do not seem natural to me. And with your loss of connection to the Force, it seems such a connection would be impossible.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 8. The Sith have revealed themselves.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Have they? I have seen no evidence of them upon Dantooine - only murderers and raiders.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. They exist. They have already attacked me.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Why would they attack you? You are no Jedi - you cannot feel the Force.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. But I have reestablished my connection to the Force.
Though it seems unlikely the Sith would bother with you.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. I do not know - they believe me to be a Jedi. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 1. Nevertheless, the Sith are hunting me. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 2. Then I am wasting my time. KotORII Icon Dialog.png 3. So you don't think I'm telling the truth?
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: For some reason, I believe you. Still - I am curious as to how they would know to find you. Your trial was not public knowledge. Regardless, these Sith have struck, and you survived - this is more knowledge than I had before. And that means the Jedi may gather. If you can find others - or find some trace of this Sith threat, then we shall gather here on Dantooine. And from there, we may decide what can be done.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png 9. I'll be going now.

Item(s) Received Master Vrook

Before Master Vrook leaves you in Khoonda's reception, if you are a Jedi Consular, Jedi Master or Sith Lord then he teaches you a Force form, otherwise he teaches you a lightsaber form:

KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I suppose there is something I should show you. It will keep you alive long enough to prove useful.
Dialog
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Using the Force as a weapon is a sticky issue. Many Jedi feel it leads to the dark side. My experience has taught me that it's lack of discipline that leads a Jedi astray. Use this form with proper restraint and it will enhance the potency of your Force attacks. However, if you are reckless with this form, you will quickly drain your Force energy. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: When you are facing a long campaign, you need to be more conservative with how you use your Force energy. This form gives you increased Force affinity. In simple terms, it helps you to quickly regenerate Force energy in the middle of a fight. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: You may lack the discipline for this, but I will attempt to teach you anyway. This form is considered the pinnacle of Force Mastery. Now watch carefully. This subtle technique enhances the duration of many Force powers at your disposal. However, the focus required for this form, can drain your energy quickly and leave you vulnerable to Force attack.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Now watch and learn. This form is Ataru. Because it is such an aggressive fighting style, you should only use it against single opponents. And don't try using this form amidst heavy fire. Nothing is more embarrassing for a Jedi than to be cut down by a stray blaster shot. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I'm only going to demonstrate this once. This is the Shien form, a defensive stance that's good when you're outnumbered - which is most of the time. This form will increase your ability to deflect blaster fire and it increases the odds of dealing critical strikes against your attackers. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I'm not sure if this lesson will be to your liking. This is Niman, a lightsaber form of balance, which contradicts the recklessness that you have so often exhibited. Using this technique provides no particular strengths, but also lacks the weaknesses of some of the more aggressive forms. KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: I hesitate to teach this to you, because of your demonstrated recklessness... This is Juyo, a very ferocious form of lightsaber offense. It goes without saying to exercise proper control and restraint when using this technique. It may allow you to eviscerate a lone enemy, but it will leave you open to attack by force powers.
KotORII Icon Dialog.png Master Vrook: Hmmm... I don't know how you learned that so quickly. Still, your form is sloppy. Keep practicing to tighten it up, and you'll be fine.
