StrategyWiki:Cleanup project/Daily tasks

These tasks are meant to be done with more regularity than the long term tasks, both because these cleanup problem crop up more regularly and to keep these categories clean. Many of the tasks here involve making changes to ensure that the pages of the wiki meet our high standards, and which have been worked on for a long time. To help out with these tasks, please check the links found here on a regular basis. The goal is for these pages to never contain cleanup problems for more than a very short period of time. In most cases, you shouldn't find any pages needing cleanup when you check the links.

Main game pages

• Make sure all games have been properly categorized by:
  • Systems and Companies (for developer and publisher)
  • Genres
  • Mode (e.g. multiplayer, single player, etc.)
• Add the {{Game}} template to pages needing an infobox (?) (168 pages)
• Add boxart to pages needing box artwork (?) (523 pages)
• Check for missing nums (?)
• Check for uncategorised main pages (?) (126 pages needing categorization)

All pages

• Add game art and images to pages where appropriate
• Check for broken redirects (?)
• Check for double redirects (?)
• Check for missing Header Navs (?)
• Check for subpage nums (?)
• Add links on dead-end pages (?)
• Link to lonely pages from other pages (?)
• Add sources to pages marked with {{copyvio}} that have no source provided (2 pages)

Images

• Categorize any uncategorized images in the file list (?)
• Correct type for files without an appropriate type specified.
• Re-categorize images in Category:Artwork with alternate categories or subcategories.

Categories

• Check for uncategorised categories (?) — only the 11 core categories should remain; those are currently: Achievements, Companies, Years, Games, Genres, Files, Modes, Move lists, Official pages, Series, Systems
• Categorize all to-do lists without a priority (?) (0 to-do lists)

Templates

• Remove references to deprecated templates (?) (0 templates)
• Fix any deprecated template usages (?) from pages (11 pages)
• Fix any pages using duplicate arguments in template calls (?) from pages (5 pages)

Administrators

• Patrol every edit
• Look into pages with possible copyright violation (?) (1 pages)
