Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve StrategyWiki in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with?
A: Is there a list? I don't even know what a SysOp does. I imagine I'll just keep doing what I've been doing, which is cleaning up, proofreading, wikifying, etc.
2. Of your articles or contributions to StrategyWiki, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: The Dog Island Bug Collector page, 'cause man that's a lot of info. Oh yeah, and this too, I guess.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: Nope, no conflicts although Prod causes me stress daily with all his silly logic and good advice. I mainly handle it by learning, and I hope to continue to do so in the future.
General comments
  • I love this site!

Please keep criticism constructive and polite.

  • Of course I support, but methinks someone in the future will look back at that first question and go, "what??" A sysop's primary job is to cleanup the wiki, patrol edits, and fight vandalism.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:46, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Well, we do have our todo lists and projects scattered around the site, but most sysop promotions tend to happen long after a user has become affiliated with the site. I think only a few have been promoted in under 6 months attendance. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 23:56, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
      • Don't think I was complaining... I was just making a comment because I thought his response was kind of funny. Someone new to the site five years from now might stumble upon and go, "Hey, they made someone a sysop who didn't even know what it was!" In reality, najzere has an amazing grasp on the site after such a short time! You just wouldn't know it by looking at the answers :)--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 00:19, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
  • Najzere, you might find the admin guide helpful, it details what sysops can do :) --Skizzerz 00:32, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
  • Yeaaaaaah, I think this is pretty unanimous. Congrats Najzere!
