Super Baseball 2020 (2020年スーパーベースボール,2020 toshi no suupaa beesubooru?, Year 2020 Super Baseball) is a futuristic baseball game developed by Pallas. It was first published in Japan in late 1991 by SNK for the arcade and Neo Geo. In 1993 it was ported by NuFX to the SNES and Sega Genesis and released by Tradewest and Electronic Arts, respectively.
Using baseball as the basis, the game modifies the entire sport to be more intense overall. It is in the future, so robots are allowed to play. Because the sport pits humans and robots against one another, pitching speeds and hitting distances are several times greater than normally expected (pitching speeds peak around 300mph). All the human characters are equipped with powerful armor, computer sensors, and jet-packs for improved offense and defensive skills.
