In this stage, the distance between Gibson & Broady's Nissan 300ZX and the criminals' truck will start at 3368, so it will once again take longer to reach; the time will also start at 65, 70, 73, or 76 seconds, depending on what the arcade operator has set the "TIME SETTING" setting in the options menu to.
Once Gibson and Broady have reappeared on the screen and got into their Nissan 300ZX, the camera will zoom in on its front windscreen from behind; you will then have to step on the gas pedal to accelerate it and crash through a roadblock of four barriers, and shift it into high gear once it has reached 200 km/h (100 mph in that US version). You'll then have to turn to the right as you pass a randomly-generated car on the left side of the track, then turn to the left as you pass two more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track, and crash through two level crossing barriers - and once you have done so, you will pass a parked police car and two parked trucks on the right side of the track. You will then have to turn to the left as you pass a fourth randomly-generated car upon the track's left side, turn to the right as you pass two more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track, turn to the right again as you pass a seventh randomly-generated car on that track's left side, turn to the left again as you pass two more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track, turn to the right once again, and turn to the left once again as you pass a tenth randomly-generated car on the left side of the track and drive into a tunnel passing an eleventh randomly-generated car on the left side of the track; once you have come out of the tunnel, the text of "DANGER!" will appear on the left side of the screen as a freight train of shipping crates passes upon that side and the criminals standing on the crates throw Molotov cocktails at the Nissan 300ZX which will shatter its windscreen if they hit it (you'll also pass two more parked police cars, and three more parked trucks, on the right side of the track, along with three more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track). You will then drive into another tunnel (passing a fifteenth randomly-generated car on the left side of the track) - and once you have come out of it the text "RIDE ON!" shall appear on the screen as you come to a ramp, drive up it and fly over a fence to land upon the other side. The text "CHANGE TO A TRAILER!" will now appear on the screen as you come to an eighteen-wheeled articulated truck, its back door opens, its ramp lowers, and the 300ZX drives into it; the view shall now switch to the truck's cab as the text "WE FIND THE CAR OF CRIMINALS" appears on the screen and the time's extended to 65, 70, 73 or 76 seconds. This is also the only stage in the game where the time will get extended back to the value it started at once you have caught up with the target vehicle.
Once you have come out of a third tunnel you shall come to the criminals' truck (which is indicated by an arrow and the text "REMAINING: 16" over it); as you pass under twelve bridges, you'll also pass three more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track, and can ram the truck between one and three times (you'll also receive 4000 points every time you ram it). The chase will now continue, over another level crossing without barriers (you'll also pass three more randomly-generated cars on the track's left side and go under four more bridges), where you must, again, ram the truck between one and three more times - and you will then pass two more randomly-generated cars on both sides of the track and drive into a fourth tunnel (you will also pass a twenty-fourth randomly-generated car on the left side of the track), where you must once again ram the truck between one and three more times (once it's down to seven rams, its left back door will come off). Once you have come out of the tunnel, the cycle of locations will repeat; once the truck is down to four rams its right back door shall come off, and once its damage meter has been completely filled, it'll burst into flames and stop. The screen will now cut to a shot of Gibson and Broady arresting the truck drivers as the text "YOU ARE ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF SMUGGLING!!" appears on it - and the text "STAGE 4 COMPLETED" shall then appear at the top of the screen (you will also receive a "Clear Bonus" of 40000 points, and a "Time Bonus" of 5000 points for every second you have remaining). The text of "CHICAGO" shall now appear on the screen as the texts "DATE 05/11/93" and "09:23 AM" appear below it, followed by a shot of five people being gunned down (by the final stage's criminal, Alnold, born 1958), and his silver palette-swapped Nissan 300ZX driving away as an FBI agent fires shots at it, and lastly the Taito Monitoring System as Nancy appears on it:
A night-vision picture of Alnold's Nissan 300ZX shall now be displayed at the top of the Taito Monitoring System's screen with two mugshots of Alnold himself (one facing forward, another facing to the left) below it (his name and age will also appear to the right of that second one); Gibson and Broady shall now proceed onward to the fifth and final stage (which shall again see them switching back to their own once-again-repaired red Nissan 300ZX).
