Controls[edit]

  • Neutral dpad: Use the direction pad to direct your fighter in any of the four cardinal directions. The fighters cannot move diagonally while running (although it's possible to do so while jumping).
  • A button: Press the A button to throw a punch at your enemies. Your fighter will punch in whichever direction he is facing. Punches travel only a short distance from where you are standing. When you have your sword drawn, press the A button to swing your sword.
  • B button+Neutral dpad: Press the B button in conjunction with a direction on the D-pad to perform a flip kick. A flip kick travels a short distance from where you started.
  • B button: Press the B button alone to perform a Miracle Kick. A Miracle Kick travels much farther than an ordinary flip kick, but it requires kick-power. Kick-power must be collected from treasure boxes.
  • A button+B button: If you are currently in possession of six money bags (the maximum that you may hold on to), you may trade all six of them in exchange for making a Power Ball appear somewhere on the screen.
  • A button+B button+Neutral dpad: If you are in possession of the sword treasure, you may press A and B along with a direction to draw your sword and use it instead of punching. Use the same combination to sheath your sword.
  • Start button: Begins a new game and pauses a game in progress.
  • Select button: Not used.

Characters[edit]

Lee and Jacky[edit]

As the players, you must take control of Lee and Jacky, two master martial artists, in their attempt to rescue Princess Min Min, and recover the 10 lost treasures. Lee and Jacky have a few attacks at their disposal, including a lunging punch, a flip kick, and a longer version of the flip kick called the Miracle Kick. They can also wield a sword if the sword treasure is located. As strong as Lee and Jacky are, they don't take damage very well. One solid attack from an enemy, or a projectile attack will do them in, as will falling into water or a pit. They begin the game with five lives each. Every time then end a stage with less than three lives, they are automatically restored to three lives at the start of the next stage. Lee and Jacky must do battle throughout 32 stages in order to rescue the Princess. While the game is easier (and more fun) with two players battling simultaneously, you are also required to defeat more enemies in order to advance to the next stage than when battling alone. Blocks are arranged throughout some of the stages. If a player punches a block, one of four things will occur: nothing; an item will appear; the block will break; the block will slide across the floor. If a block slides across the floor, you will earn bonus points for any enemy that it hits and destroys along the way. Blocks that are destroyed or removed will replace themselves after a certain amount of time has passed.

Princess Min Min[edit]

Super Chinese Princess Min Min.png

Princess Min Min has been kidnapped and taken hostage by the Ryuichi gang. The only way to rescue her is to fight all the way through 32 stages of combat. If you manage to complete this difficult task, you will be rewarded with her enduring love for you.

Items[edit]

A majority of items are obtained by punching blocks. If a player punches a block that has an item in it, a treasure box or variety of ball will appear. You must then punch the box or ball to obtain the item it contains, or earn the effects of the power-up. Not every item is good. Sometimes when you punch a Question Ball, it will contain an X-Mark which will remove all of the money bags you had currently stored up. Some of the items in treasure boxes will be one of the 10 lost treasures. They can only be obtained on certain stages, so make sure you check as many blocks as you can afford to.

Super Chinese Treasure Box.png A treasure box will contain one of three things: Either a punch power-up, a five ammo supply of Miracle Kicks, or one of the 10 lost treasures. Always investigate the contents of these boxes when they appear. Punching can be powered up a total of three times, and is shared by each player. The maximum number of Miracle Kicks that either player can store is 99. See the Treasure section below for a description of each treasure.
Super Chinese Question Ball.png When a block holds no item in particular, it may give up a Question Ball. Question Balls hold one of two things: A money bag or an X-Mark. You must punch it to find out which. Question Balls tend to have X-Marks only after a number of money bags have already appeared in one stage, so don't get greedy.
Super Chinese Money Bag.png You can collect up to a total of six money bags at any time. Once you have collected six, you may trade all six in for the chance to collect a Power Ball somewhere on the stage by pressing A button+B button without pressing any particular direction.
Super Chinese X Mark.png If you find one of these in a Question Ball, you will lose all of the money bags that you had collected. These tend to appear when you punch the same block repeatedly.
Super Chinese Extra Ball.png Extra Balls appear whenever you have collected five bags of money. They will also appear if you manage to defeat a Yunigon, and throughout the Apple Bonus Stage. You will earn one extra life when you collect five Extra Balls.
Super Chinese Power Ball.png Power Balls will normally only appear after you have collected six money bags and press A button+B button. They are also hidden in invisible locations on select stages. If you punch a Power Ball, you will gain temporary invincibility during which you can destroy every enemy by running into them, for an increasing amount of bonus points.
Super Chinese Gun Ball.png When you make Gun Balls appear from inside certain blocks, you can punch them to gain the ability to shoot fireballs with your fists. For a limited time, every time you punch, a fireball will launch forward. (The fireballs are significantly faster going up and down, than to the left or right.)
Super Chinese 1UP.png Towards the beginning of the game, 1-Ups are hidden inside ordinary blocks. Later on, they are invisible and you must punch the air in the right location to reveal them. Punch them to earn an extra life.
Super Chinese Key.png Certain blocks contain keys. If you reveal a key and punch it, the block will disappear and be replaced with a staircase. Step into the staircase to be taken to a bonus round or a warp zone.
Super Chinese Apple.png When you enter the Apple Bonus Round, you are presented with many Apples, along with a few Extra Balls mixed in. For every Apple that you punch in the Bonus Round, you will earn 1000 bonus points if you survive when time runs out.
Super Chinese Heart Red.png
Super Chinese Heart Blue.png
When you enter the Break Time bonus round, sometimes you are given the chance to collect hearts for bonus points. The more common Red Hearts are worth 10,000 points, while the rare Blue Hearts are worth 100,000.

Treasures[edit]

There are precisely ten lost treasures that Jacky and Lee can recover in order to aid them on their quest to rescue the Princess. Each treasure grants them a new kind of power. Most of them are automatic, but the Sword treasure must be activated. Once collected, you cannot lose any of the treasures.
