Leaving Strahta[edit]

Bestial Roar is very effective against Hubert.

Exit Yu Liberte through the north (to the right of the Governmental District) to begin your trek to Fendel. Now in Strahta Desert (North), bear left along the path to find a chest nestled between cacti containing 2080 Gald. You should also look around for sparkles here to obtain the randomly-appearing Magic Carta No. 11. Approach the well for the Dried-Up Well Discovery and Skit #118Fight Me, Brother!. This leads into a fight with Hubert, after which you can obtain Skit #119My Reasons Are My Own and Skit #120I Demand a Rematch! after losing and Skit #121Alas and Alack after winning, though defeating him will automatically net you all skits. Don't worry about saving when attempting this, as you can retry as many times as you please. To defeat him, take advantage of Asbel's Bestial Roar to knock Hubert down. Keeping a distance may seem like a safe bet, but Hubert (who has an array of shooting artes) is much more capable of dealing heavy damage from a distance than Asbel (who only has Demon Fang). Bestial Roar is the best method of attack, as you can recharge CC once he's knocked down and then just repeat the combo.

Mr. Oswell's Secret
Before departing for Warrior's Roost, enter the Oswell Manor for a scene.

Behind the well is a chest containing a Moon Anklet. Further down the path is another chest containing Silver Frames (along the cliff) and Skit #117Furtive Glances by the save point. Enter North Yu Liberte Port along the stone path. In the house is White Wine. Approach the ship to trigger a scene, then view Skit #122Piercing Glances. Before boarding the ship to Warrior's Roost, you can return to the Oswell Manor in Yu Liberte for a scene and Sidequest #5.

Warrior's Roost[edit]

On the right side of the stairs are Daphne Seeds, Red Wine, and a cat that you should feed. To the left is Magic Carta No. 35 and Skit #124Observing the Observer by the save point. There should also be a star to the rest that triggers another segment of Sidequest #63 (this is only if you've met Joe and his family at all previously-mentioned locations). Examine the torch to the right of the stairs for the Annals of Victory Discovery and Skit #123Knight Moves. Up the stairs, a chest to the right of the check-in desk can be opened with the password "riot peak" for the Book of Metabolism. Speak to the woman behind the desk to enter the tournament. Simply fight your way through the monsters until you reach the Fendelian soldiers, at which point you can defeat them to rescue the spy.

Back down the stairs, watch Skit #125En Guardian by the save. You can now challenge the best that Riot Peak has to offer, though this is best saved for later, when the party is at a more appropriate level. Once you're done here, you can speak to the spy to board a ship to Fendel.

Velanik[edit]

By the exit to Lhant, right of the fork, is a skit.

In the house along the path is Crab x2. Enter the Fendel Borderlands and open the nearby chest for Fancy Fur. Look for sparkles around here to obtain Magic Carta No. 12. Also make sure to fight as much as you can in order to collect 5 Strahteme Horns; you'll need them upon entering town. Further along the path is the Peach Tree Discovery and Skit #126Just Peachy. At the fork, take the right path first, opening chests containing an Anonymous Seed and a Seascale Crystal along the way. At the very end of the path is Skit #127Border Crossing. Returning to the fork, take the left path this time, and after the scene, view Skit #128Just Another Coinkydink while continuing on.

To the left of the path is a snowy hill, where a chest containing Gald can be found.
A Cold Night
Sleep at the inn as soon as you enter Velanik for a scene.

Turn left off the path when you see a snowy embankment. Across it is a chest containing 2520 Gald. One more chest off the path contains a Green Ribbon. You can now finally enter town, though it doesn't seem to be in a state much better than the field outside of it. Approach the decrepit structure up ahead and open the chest hidden to the right of the kid to find Magic Carta No. 36. Inside a dresser of the first house you come across is a Veggie Set. Ignore the path to the right for now and make a beeline to the inn. By the save is Skit #129Misery Loves Company. Rest for a scene that counts as Sidequest #6.

After resting, search around the inn for some collectibles. On the stage is another encounter with Joe, and behind the curtain are Niferum Seeds, a chest containing the Book of Deduction (the password is "strahteme"), the Kaigar's Script Discovery (followed by Skit #130Bananas for Bananas), and a book of Best Princess Stories within a blue trunk.

The Pipsqueak Shakedown
After getting your money back from the kid, visit him in his house to pay for his mother's treatment.

In the house closest to the inn, feed the cat, pick up Milk from the dresser and a Bush Baby Plushie from the chest, and have the kid make you a Seafood Set if you'd like. Exit through the back entrance and walk along the path toward the screen to find a chest containing a Spoon. Pay the kid, then go up the other way; though he won't be clearly visible, walk around the other side of the well to speak to him and get your money back. This triggers Sidequest #38; reenter the house and speak to the kid to find out his motivation, then pay him in increasing increments (200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400). When he stops asking, the sidequest will have been cleared. Finally, if you have the Strahteme Horns ready, follow the path to the right (under this house) for a scene and a title for Cheria. Approach the inn and, after the scenes, view Skit #131Who-Knows-What by the save point. You can now exit up the path to the left of the inn.

Fendel Mountain Pass and Highlands[edit]

This tunnel leads back down to the mountain cottage; use it to reset sparkles for the Magic Carta.

At the fork, head right for Dark Bottle x2 and a Platinum Tunic, then left. Enter the mountain cottage for Suspicious Powder x2, then approach the save point outside for Skit #132The Cold, Hard Truth. Also make sure to look out for sparkles, as they may give you Magic Carta No. 13. Continue down the path to the left, then at the next fork, take the left path first for Leafy Balm and Syrup Bottle x2. Down the right path winding upward, approach the tree for the Frozen Tree Discovery and Skit #133What Lies Ahead. Hiding behind the tree is a chest containing 3240 Gald. Walk further to find a path to the right (marked by a sign with an arrow on it) that leads back down to the cottage, and a chest that can be opened for Grape Gel x2. Continue left to exit the cave and enter the Highlands.

Speak to the man with the speech bubble over his head to start Sidequest #42. You'll have to turn Rockgagong Fur in to Zavhert's inn to clear it, but as the Rockgagong is a tough boss, this is better left for later. Continuing on, look for sparkles along the path for Magic Carta No. 14 and open the chests for a Weak Charm and a Gold Scabbard. At the split, take the right path first for the Cabbages Discovery and Skit #134High-Risk Highlands, then the left for 2880 Gald and Skit #135False Pretenses by the save point. Exit to the Port to Zavhert. Here, if you don't have any on you, make crablettes at the Turtlez by dualizing crabs and eggs. This unlocks Skit #136National Crablette Day at the save point up ahead. Off to the right here, behind a tree, is a hidden chest containing Salmon x3. Speak to the captain for a ride to Zavhert Port.

Zavhert[edit]

At the port, you can speak to the man in front of you for items based on how many Carta cards you've obtained so far (you'll have to come back once you collect more in order to redeem all of his rewards): Grape Gel x3 for 5 cards, Mastery Tonic C for 10, Mastery Tonic EX for 20, a Carta Collector title for 30, the Lost Anklet for 40, and lastly, Mastery Tonic G for 50. Inside the nearest building is Pie Sheet x3. There's nothing else to do here but follow the path into Zavhert.

Bring plushies to the house closest to the entrance for Sidequest #61.

Entering town will trigger a scene; walk forward a bit to trigger another. Enter the house closest to you and speak to the girl in the bed to start Sidequest #61, The Sick Child. Though you can't clear this just yet, you can give her all of the plushies you've found so far. Exit the house after you've handed them all over and take the left path. Up some stairs here is Magic Carta No. 37. Further up the path, up a set of stairs and behind a soldier, is the Bottomless Pipes Discovery and Skit #137Piping Up. Up ahead is another house that you can enter for the Doll-Within-A-Doll Discovery and Skit #139The Dubious Man on the dresser between the beds, Crab x2 in a gray chest to the left, and a cat that you should feed. Back outside, continue progressing along the path to find a soldier sitting against a wall with a speech bubble over his head. After he runs off, head up the long set of stairs and to the right.

Enter another house after ascending a short set of stairs. In the dresser by the bed is Best Princess Stories. Back outside, continue following the path to the right, eventually descending a set of stairs into another screen. The inn should be right by where you enter; head inside for Skit #138No More Suffering and Skit #323A Surprising Theory. Dispose of any trash you've picked up in the trash bin, head into a room to the left to come across Joe yet again, open the password-protected chest for a Book of Finesse (the password is "ironspike"), and in the second room upstairs, pick up Rice x2 and Bloody Rose Seeds. Back outside, purchase a Katz Plushie from a kid and approach the equipment shop to the right. Talk to another soldier by the inn, and after the scene, return to the previous screen and enter the inn for Skit #140All in the Timing. Take the exit left of town to Mt. Zavhert.

Mt. Zavhert[edit]

A Natural Mimic
Defeat the Fake on the path to the Fendel Laboratory for another one of Pascal's Mystic Artes. You can also turn the Raw Materials in at the inn to open up Zavhert's Equipment Shop.

Along the cliff-side is Life Bottle x2. While journeying up the slope, look around for sparkles for Magic Carta No. 15. At the fork, take the path to the left first (toward the Fendel Research Laboratory). At another fork, head left and defeat the Fake for Sidequest #41, which will also give Pascal the Fire Summoner title (which she can learn another Mystic Arte from). Take the other path at the last fork for the Radishes Discovery and Skit #142Dear Diary. Further along the path here is 495 unit(s) of eleth and Skit #240Gone Astray. Backtrack all the way back to the first fork and head up the path to the right, marked by the sign between the fork as "Mt. Zavhert."

About halfway through the boss battle, watch out for the exclamation point over the boar's head; it's follow-up charge can be lethal.

Open a chest for Grape Gel x2 along the way and at yet another fork, take the path to the left to find the Pumpkins Discovery and Skit #143Short and Sweet. Further left is a Pretty Feather and a Blue Scarf in some weeds, and to the right is another fork; head left to the save point for Skit #144Winds of Change. Before heading further up the mountain, head down the path behind the save point to find Gold Frames and Fine Wood. Continue up the narrow slope past the save point, and go left to find a chest containing 3670 Gald. To the right is a boss fight, though it shouldn't be too difficult. Dispose of any allies it summons quickly and make sure the party's health never drops too low, as losing just one party member is enough to turn the tide of this battle.

After the battle, open the chest up ahead for a Formless Crystal and take note of the Turtlez; you can use it to return to Zavhert quickly rather than trekking back down the mountain. But for now, continue to the warp pad that will lead you into the Amarcian Enclave.
