Villager pages[edit]
So there are about a billion potential animal villagers in ACNL. There is list here. Do we want to entertain the idea of a page for each one? Maybe a page for each species with info about likes/dislikes for each - this would limit the number of additional pages...
As I play more of the game, I am more interested in my villagers (trying to get their pictures!!) and to do this I am looking up info about what gifts they like or furniture they prefer. I think it is worth including as it's information I would come here for. Thoughts, opinions, ideas welcome --Minx (talk) 16:28, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think likes and dislikes are villager-specific, but more personality-based, although there does seem to be a preference for a particular style. However, there are some notable things about every individual villager. Every villager has a birthday (important as attending and giving presents is great for improving friendships), catchphrase (changes too often to be worthwhile to note) and picture quote (a daunting task to complete). There's also the coffee preferences, but I think that can stay on the café page. T.testLP(talk) 09:21, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- I've been doing some work with the holidays and it appears that for Halloween and Christmas, the animals have different criteria to be fulfilled for the events to succeed. For example, they require different fancy dress to scare them and give hints for Christmas gifts - although I'm not sure if this is based on personality type, species or unique to each animal. I think it might be too long to cover this detailed info on the holiday and events page. So I was thinking maybe having a Villagers page with info about what roles the villages do and how the impact the game and then have each personality type as a subpage which then included info for each animal of that type. So we can just link to it from other pages with the info is relevant but not necessarily essential. --Minx (talk) 16:21, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- I would avoid making villager pages that as much as possible, given the huge amount of content you will have to add. IF you do, make pages like so: [[Animal Crossing: New Leaf/Villager Name]]. Don't use something like [[Animal Crossing: New Leaf/Villagers/Villager Name]]. Event/holiday pages make sense, where recurring quests, exchanges, and items appear (I played the original; haven't seen this one). --Notmyhandle (talk • contribs) 06:32, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
