front text

The front text is a bit like meaningless marketing babble... as soon as a short "what is dom3" wikipedia entry exist i will copy it to this place. Is there a general rule / template of what information has to bee on the first wiki page and what information can be hidden on subpages ? --Horstjens 12:20, 20 September 2006 (CDT)

This part:
The world of Dominions is a magical world and magic will be of great importance

What do people think of moving articles under the sub-pages as shown in the Table of Contents, such as:

• Dominions3:_The_Awakening/The_Scales_of_Dominion/Order-turmoil
  

rather than

• Dominions3:_The_Awakening/Order-turmoil

Game Name

The official shrapnel pages http://www.shrapnelgames.com shows that Dominions II has romanic number while Dominions 3 has arabic number. (Dominions:PPP (the 1) had no number at all). I think we should respect the (confusing) reality.--Horstjens 02:17, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

Table of contents

I removed the "fake" table of contents from the front page and replaced it with an link to the "real" table of contents sub - page. Please try for once syncing two different table of contents before complaining. Note that the blue show link does not work for the "fake" version of the table of contents and that blue Table of Contents link on the center top is the official way to the "real" Table of Contents. Also my subjective impression is that the dom3-wiki-front page looks more cleaned up now. Oh, and the joy of pressing the show link several times !--Horstjens 02:39, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

I copied back the highest level of the TOC so that at least some nav is accessible without the show/hide stuff. This stuff shouldn't change much so shouldn't be that hard to keep synchronized. -- Prod 09:20, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

Orphaned Page

[[Dominions 3: The Awakening/Ulm]] is in the wrong page location, and I'm not exactly sure what to do with it. Perhaps just have it #REDIRECT [[Dominions 3: The Awakening/Ulm]]. -- Prod 10:17, 3 October 2006 (CDT)

Orphaned images

The middle ones are unit graphics for nations or indys. The big thing left is a doom horror (should become part of the spell description ?) and the snake-woumen is possible a pretender. not sure. --Horstjens 13:07, 15 October 2006 (CDT)

I've marked the Cataphract and Mother of Monsters for deletion. I'm using the others (and some new pics I've added) for the Nation pages, but am not finished yet. I'll reorganize the nations properly into eras. --Morkilus 17:37, 16 October 2006 (CDT)

Nations

They should all have their own link, listed under the era in the table of contents. If you think a nation is missing, it's probably linked within the page for that race; Dominions 3: The Awakening/Nations/Abysia, Blood of Humans is linked in the Dominions 3: The Awakening/Nations/Abysia page (all under the Nations subpage). Splinter nations of Vanheim and Jotunheim are linked unter their icon. Search for something before adding it, it might already exist!--Morkilus 19:31, 22 October 2006 (CDT)

structure, navigation

i initated re-organizing and moving some articles. Beginning with the item articles, i moved them into sub-pages. Example: Instead of dom3/Swords it is now dom3/Items/Swords. This should make the navigation bar on top of each article a bit more meaningfull (You can go back from Swords to Items instead going back from Swords to the main page). I will continue this work in the next days. Question: how do i flag an article for deletion (if i merged his content into another article) ? --Horstjens 03:17, 23 October 2006 (CDT)

To flag an article for deletion, just use the {{delete}} template, specifying a reason as the first parameter. e.g. {{delete|Page is now extraneous.}}. However, you should not be copying-and-pasting content from one page to another to merge them, as that loses the edit history. Instead, please use the {{mergeto}} template, specifying the page into which the content should be moved as the first parameter. :-) --DrBob (Talk) 04:28, 23 October 2006 (CDT)

There are too many layers of navigation
