I noticed you took some info from Wikipedia, on the Ability page, which I wrote XD. Some of it may be incorrect, and I'm looking into it. Btw, I got my own database up if you need stats for the wiki. Here it is Call me "MK" 13:29, 28 December 2007 (CET)

very nice database...ill have much less work to do for all the Armour Pages here, I noticed for the weapon stats(overheat, damage etc.) you took pretty much the same approach as me and counted the pixels, though I personally think it's best to have them as percentages as not everyone will know that the most possible damage would be 72 for example.
And as for the info from the wikipedia page, ill be sure to update it when I make sure I have all the right info written down on my amazingly high-tech piece of scrap paper :P

What resolution are the screenshots? If they're different than mine I'll have to divide it by something else. 19:06, 4 January 2008 (CET)
1024 X 768, im pretty sure most people use that res, though it really should go higher :S
~Led | 21:31, 4 January 2008 (CET)
Odd, I play at 1280x960 (or something) but all the screenshots are 1024 x 768. 05:25, 5 January 2008 (CET)
Hmmm... Myscreenshots and my Exteel are in the same resolution, 1280 x 1024. Did you verify your Exteel resolution?
My screenshots are taken in window mode, my screen is in 1600X1200 and my game is in 1280X1024.
I then paste the fresh print screen in mspaint to remove my left screen desktop and all the unwanted stuff of my game screen.
I select what i want in mspaint and copy-paste it in photoshop because paint really suck at saving jpegs.
for future reference no matter what your in-game resolution is set at screenshots of the lobby/store/hanger screens are always 1024X768, the resolution option is just for when you're actually in a match or w/e

I strongly suggest rather than using "Armor" or "Armour", you use "Mechanaught [parts]". It sounds better and is more distinct. 00:00, 8 January 2008 (CET)

it's pronounced the same way, "armor" is the american spelling. You have to keep in mind that Exteel is an international game.
~Led | 00:44, 8 January 2008 (CET)
Yeah but is the word "armo(u)r" ever used in Exteel? :P They're refered to as Mechanaught parts. 03:51, 8 January 2008 (CET)
I think I will rename the pages to Mechanaughts, because it isn't really armour at all, it's an entirely different bot.
~Led | 21:10, 8 January 2008 (CET)

I hope you're content now, that took 15 whole minutes! :P

New content[edit]

Added to the db. Boosters, for example. Perhaps I should register here :P 06:02, 8 January 2008 (CET) ps. done MK 06:03, 8 January 2008 (CET)

yay now i don't have to remember your IP address ^_^
~Led | 21:02, 8 January 2008 (CET)
Yeah, I had to register; my IP is dynamic so it would have changed eventually. Thanks for renaming to Mechanaught as well. I'm angry they didn't add any new content though :( MK 02:25, 9 January 2008 (CET)
S dzspc s ntavat etoiut raspc gejjax oagzepeuczd dii...crap had my cipher on >_<
what i meant was "I think i prefer armour being called mechanaught too"'s best not to ask <_<
PS i made a slightly modified sig! pics ftw :P

Cool. I made the weapon stats calculate round(stat/72*100), so it should be easier to add new weapons when I add them to my DB. MK 04:24, 10 January 2008 (CET)
I was just wondering if anyone desired for this site to be here. Like any site, without support, it could fail. I want this site to work out because I play Exteel. If those that are capable of updating this site could please do so, I know that there are many people that would be greatly appreciative. Please, all that can help out, update this site so that people will keep coming here for trusted information. Thank you. 11 March 2008
I'm cleaning up the site (grammar...) and I'll probably add in new content every so often....just don't go AWOL on me o.O.

Perhaps some of you might be interested in commenting on this thread. -- Prod 20:06, 20 April 2008 (CEST)

Site rearrangement[edit]

Well, I'm going to be making some major changes to the organization of the pages on the site. Rather than having separate pages for each of the cores, boosters, weapons, etc., I'm going to start merging them to single pages in a table format. This should help make it easier to compare their relative strengths and weaknesses. I will start with the Category:Shield page since it's the smallest, and maybe one of the weapon pages tomorrow. If there are no complaints, I will do the rest of it over the coming weekend. -- Prod 05:46, 19 June 2008 (CEST)

Converting from Graph to Percentage[edit]

To get the percentages for the information presented in graph form you need a simple image editor like MSPaint.

  1. Go in-game and make sure "Screen Shot File Format" is set to BMP, this is changed in: Options --> Graphics Setup
  2. Take a screenshot of the Part-Info Screen.
  3. Open the screenshot in MSPaint, or something similar, though Photoshop is overkill.
  4. Count the length of the light blue bar in pixels, easiest to use the Rectangular Select tool with MSPaint.
  5. Devide the length of the bar by 72 then multiply that number by 100, that is the percentage that is used on Weapon and Skill pages.

This is a list of the things that need to be done to make this Wiki more presentable and complete.

Ongoing: Image replacement[edit]

  • Higher res/quality images are always welcome, replace them if you think you have better.

Ongoing: Weapon Pages[edit]

  • Each weapon page will follow this template, each full bar is 72 pixels, every 18 Pixels is 25%
    • To find out percentages simple take the number of pixels divide it by 72 and multiply that answer by 100, (x/72) X 100.
  • Weapon Pages must have the description field added, See Annihilator-C.

Ongoing: Mechanaught Pages[edit]

  • Mechanaught pages must be created using the Mechanaught Template.
    • The mechanaught pages will also need the description field added, See Mekhi.

Ongoing: Booster pages[edit]

  • Booster pages must be created using the Booster Template
    • The booster pages will also need the description field added, See Booster.
  • Booster Images must be cropped.

Ongoing: Formatting Guide[edit]

  • The Formatting Guide can be updated to show new changes in out styles.
  • It is still not complete either.

  • The Booster pages must be updated with this template.
  • Booster images must either be cropped or replaced to show only the booster.
  • Formatting Guide must be updated.
  • Weapon pages need the description field added.
  • Mechanaught pages need the description field added.
