NEW: ThailandMS exclusive maps "Siam"[edit]

It seem that ThailandMS is going to release their second exclusive map in their next patch 0.36

Patch 0.36 Preview Page

-- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 16:11, 18 July 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, I already noticed. If you looked at the upload logs you'll see the monsters.--IsaacGS 16:48, 18 July 2007 (CDT)

-- Some info about "Siam" from ThailandMS GM...
1.Siam is the continent name, not a map name.
2.The boss is level 1xx.
3.Version 0.36 will patch in August before 2nd anniversary (August 16). -- PiPU 05:58, 22 July 2007 (CDT)

That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification. Do you know what the town name will be? Also, I have seen that ThailandMS has Amoria's Purple Plains in the data. is that released? --IsaacGS 15:25, 22 July 2007 (CDT)
Yes, ThailandMS has Purple Plain.
--- Latest info...
1.New town named "Peace Temple".
2.Can go to "Peace Temple" by walking from Floating Market.
3."Peace Temple" doesn't have free market.
4.The monsters are level 60+. -- PiPU 04:48, 25 July 2007 (CDT)

The screenshots on the ThailandMS website show it's called "Golden Temple", but they still write "Peace Temple" in the notes on that page... So it could go either way I guess. I remember back when they showed pre-released Floating Market screenshots with it saying "Thai Floating Market" in the screenshots, then they ended up calling it "Floating Market" in the official release of it. Could just be a little mistake like when GlobalMS released "Mushroom Temple" instead of Mushroom Shrine. -- Takiten 22:56, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

The MapleTV for MSEA said "Golden Temple", but I didn't put much stock into it because many of the names are wrong... Wonder which one it will be? I'm working on a way to DL ThaiMS now.--IsaacGS 23:01, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
Well if it's already written in the data as Golden Temple, then that's probably the name it will be. Since they are also getting the new world maps, we can replace the Korean maps with English maps in the article, at least some of them. -- Takiten 23:09, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
Ugh. The proxy I had working earlier simply stopped working. After further investigation it seems that it was taken down... Unfortunate. However, through a little snooping I've discovered PiPU's site, which is up to date for Singapore .44, so I bet there will be updates for thaiMS .36-.37 soon. Once that happens I suppose I can get stats that way.--IsaacGS 00:03, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

Anyone know if ThailandMS had Shalom Temple back in December? I've read several pages that ThailandMS had access to it this last year, at the same time GlobalMS had it. -- Takiten 01:33, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

No. Shalom Temple is "exclusive" to MapleGlobal.
Now, I prefer Golden Temple for the new map name lol, and I can't extract 0.36 data files because the file has password-protected. T^T (They will announce a password on 7~8th August)
ps. TaiwanMS has released fortune teller system since v0.41. ^^ [1] -- PiPU 02:53, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
There is SO MUCH new data in .37! They have all of the monsters from Ariant, Mu Lung, Herb Town, Leafre, Taipei 101, Kaede Castle, monster carnival, Fake bosses, even that Golden Pig I just found in JMS. I dare say that this is probably the single most complete Mob.wz file that has ever existed. The only things that it's missing is Magatia, NLC, and Singapore. I'm so glad I've gotten a chance to look at this!--IsaacGS 16:52, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
There are tons of PVP monsters in the data too, should these be added to the monsters section? -- Takiten 20:23, 9 August 2007 (CDT) Actually there's just too many monsters here... There's even a bunch from PQ's that we haven't gotten to yet... -- Takiten 20:26, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
I've got some info on the boss hat from the Evil Spirit Giant.
Three versions of the helm:
Level 50, +30 HP, +30 MP, Weapon DEF 45, Magic DEF 45, ACC +5, Avoid +5, untradeable and NPCs for 1 meso. I think 8 slots
Level 70, +40 HP, +40 MP, Weapon DEF 60, Magic DEF 60, STR +5, Luck +5, Dex +5, INT +5. I think 8 slots
Level 90, +60 HP, +60 MP, Weapon DEF 60, Magic DEF 60, STR +5, Luck +5, Dex +5, INT +5, ACC +10, Avoid +10, Speed +2, Jump +1. I think 9 slots

I don't know how you go about upgrading it. I also found a character transformation animation. It turns you into an Ariant-looking NPC with a spear. This is interesting, because to reach Horntail you transform into a Cornian, but most of the morph abilities are cash shop. Now they're becoming necessary "Disguises" to reach further into areas. Ariant has a lot more mysteries in it than we know about...--IsaacGS 00:07, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Maple island add-on[edit]

Me and IsaacGS want to add Maple island add-on to area table. We know that eMS, cMS, gMS and mSEA don't have it but what about jMS, tMS and twMS? -- Hurricane 08:49, 21 July 2007 (CDT)

Specifically, we're talking about the modifications that cause Pigs, stumps, and Slimes to spawn on Maple Island. I think there's other changes that go with it (additional quests, Green apples, etc.) so it's a rather major change. --IsaacGS 01:26, 21 July 2007 (CDT)
I thought that only KMS has add-on. Does other versions have it too? - Wkkim9292 17:23, 21 July 2007 (CDT)
So far it doesn't seem like it. I am downloading the latest version of the TaiwanMS client.--IsaacGS 18:48, 21 July 2007 (CDT)
ThailandMS doesn't have. ^^ -- PiPU 06:07, 22 July 2007 (CDT)

New Leaf City, a World Tour map?[edit]

I don't think it will be a world tour map, Since you have to take a 1 minute train ride from Kerning Subway. I haven't seen NLC yet in-game, but I think even though it may have real life cultural things thrown in, the town itself is not based on anything in the real world. I think NLC is just another MapleStory theme "original" kind of town. But I can still see NLC being released on other versions possibly, in the future, but not as a world tour... Anyway, Should NLC be listed under world tour or should it be listed under a new category? Coke Town, Amoria, Peach Blossom Island, and now New Leaf City are 4 towns that don't really belong to Victoria/Ossyria/World Tour regions at all. Amoria and PBI are based on Victoria so to speak, but they do not show up on the new (KMS) Victoria Island map. I was thinking we need a new category for towns that just don't go anywhere else. Either that or use a sub-region Victoria Island category for those 4 towns. -- Takiten 13:21, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Story-wise, Amoria is located on Victoria. Data wise it is not... New Leaf City, I don't know. I agree that the subway ride is a little weird, but there's also that subway ride to Taipei to consider...

This poses an interesting problem. I'm still checking out the data from this, there's a lot of odd things (like there's strings for an apparent boss monster.) so who knows. There's also a number of glitches (APQ is currently impossible to finish, from what I hear.) so there may be a follow up patch that could clear things up. --IsaacGS 13:27, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

About the Taipei 101 ride, it isn't really a ride... You just get transported to a map with 3 subway cars and you just walk through them... You don't have to wait for the ride to end or anything. So it's not the same as this. -- Takiten 13:29, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
Ok Amoria I can understand being under Victoria... NLC should probably go under Victoria too, since there are some ties between NLC and Amoria right? -- Takiten 13:32, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
Some of the NPCs are related, and there's some storyline interplay between the two towns, but story-wise Masteria is a totally separate continent. NLC is gonna be rather problematic. Maybe it does need its own section, at least for now. --IsaacGS 13:43, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
Oh yeah, I forgot about the Masteria Continent name... Yeah I agree it should have it's own section... or maybe call it a Sub-Contient or Sub-Region of Victoria. It would make more sense to have it's own section especially if it ever gets any more towns. -- Takiten 13:53, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

I went ahead and did all the changing. We can always change it back if NLC turns out to be a world tour after all in the future. And I left it open by saying "currently only released in GMS" in case it turns out to not stay exclusive to GlobalMS. -- Takiten 00:38, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

Well, I guess that's all we can do for now. On a somewhat related note, i found tiles in GMS data called "Tile.City.SG", which seems to me to be from the MapleSEA exclusive map. Interesting. --IsaacGS 01:48, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
I guess it is safe to say MapleSEA's map will be a world tour, even if it is not accessed by her in MapleSEA. But I imagine the map will be based off of real life singapore and or malaysia and released as a world tour on other versions. Masteria/NLC has it's own maple story-line while all the world tour maps are just... based off of real life culture/countries/cities. I'm beginning to think GlobalMS/EuropeMS won't be able to have a world tour map, since those versions service more than 2-3+ countries. Masteria/NLC is like the safe way to throw tons of culture into one and give it to GlobalMS and possibly other versions too. -- Takiten 08:20, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
Thinking about it, that even makes sense. Masteria even sounds like Victoria and Ossyria. I doubt that was coincidental. I still believe it will be released in other versions. The thing that seems to conflict with it being exactly the same in other versions is the various ties to Amoria. One of the NPCs is from Amoria, there will be cross-quests, and so on. Maybe Amoria will be combined with it in some way? or perhaps it will start replacing Peach Blossom? It could even be that they would just move NPCs from Amoria to NLC in future releases. --IsaacGS 17:39, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
And Amoria sounds like Victoria too. --Hurricane 8:54, 28 July 2007 (CDT)
I think PBI shud be listed under Victoria cos for SEA, the road names are Victoria Road. As for Amoria, it is reached by Thomas the Swift which is located in Henesys. That means that Amoria is around Victoria--Fideltan 00:14, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
Ok... It already is on Victoria. What's the problem? IsaacGS 00:35, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
I just want to tell you guys that these towns are under Victoria, do not change them--Fideltan 04:19, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

MapleSEA Singapore map.[edit]

Just as I figured... it is not a world tour area on MapleSEA. You take a plane ride from Kerning City to Singapore. Not known if the ride is an actual ride (IE like NLC's Subway Ride) or if you just get transported instantly... I have a feeling it will be an actual ride lol... So another prediciment... do we put Singapore under World tour or give it it's own section? -- Takiten 00:03, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

Well, I guess this means we really have to wait. As soon as their patch is done, I plan on patching MSEA and going to explore it immediately, and I'll probably set up the extractor to run on a different computer while I'm playing to get both done at once. Seeing how good NLC is, i'm very curious about this place. --IsaacGS 00:12, 1 August 2007 (CDT)
Finally, it is coming out. I am going to extract it after tomorrow's patch. Do you guys think that there is one town or two towns? By the way, I think that this map will come out as world tour in all the versions of MapleStory expect MapleSEA. What do you guys think? - Wkkim9292 02:46, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

This is the list of MapleSEA patch 0.44. I found out that GuildBBS is available in SEA now. But the thing that i am figuring is what is the kerning airport? i state kerning airport under kerning city. Is it ok to do that? And also why does the singapore's logo still not in the graph?

- Launched of our very own SG Exclusive Map!

- New Quests available in SG Exclusive Map!

- New Maps available in SG Exclusive Map!

- Introducing National Flag Weapon Quest.

- New Cash Item Giant Orchid available!

- New Cash Item Pet Jr. Balrog available!

- Guild BBS system added!

- Fortune Ticket system modified!

- Kerning Airport Added

- Other Cash Items added

- Other Bug fixes --Fideltan 06:56, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

About Kerning Airport, it's only one map and then the take off. It would be like listing the NLC subway as a separate area. I don't really think it needs to be on the chart, though maybe a transportation chart? Anyway, discussion on this is welcome.--IsaacGS 22:52, 2 August 2007 (CDT)

Giant Tomato EuropeMS[edit]

I just saw this at SW.net it say it is in EuropeMS is it real or fake? GameSpot Images -- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 22:30, 2 August 2007 (CDT)

I saw this earlier. It's apparently for the Spanish "La Tomatina" festival, an event monster that's not out yet. EMS has pretty neat events, though this boss thing we have right now is cool too. --IsaacGS 22:38, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
Oh, thanks I really like this boss LOL -- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 22:41, 2 August 2007 (CDT)

I searched for it in Maple Europe 0.27 mob.wz file and it is not there. I don't really know if the screenshots were done in Maple Europe. And one more thing: Maple Europe mob.wz file is much bigger than the one in Maple Global (about 30 megabites bigger)Vigilium 15:57, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

The info is from Maple Europe site: La Tomatina
That means a patch for Maple Europe will be soon. I will try to get Europe mob.wz file and find the Tomato.Vigilium 02:55, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
The event starts on the 16th, so that's probably when the patch will be. Aqua dungeon maybe? --IsaacGS 03:08, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

In La Tomatina event people can obtain some nice potions: leaf - +25 att for 15 min.; huge bubble - +25 M. att for 15 min.; slime bubble - +40 def for 15 min.; orange mushroom - +15 speed for 15 min. and super tomato juice - +10 att & m. att, +50 def, +25 acc & avoid, +5 speed and jump.Vigilium 04:40, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

JapanMS's Amoria.[edit]

I was looking through the data, and found the mini-maps for Amoria in the latest patch. JapanMS is getting the Thai/Global version of Amoria instead of the Korean version. This could mean JapanMS will also eventually get Amoria Dungeon and Amoria PQ. -- Takiten 00:42, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

That seems likely, but I was browsing the mobs and didn't see Sakura Cellions or Indigo eyes or any of the Amoria monsters. Wish I could get JMS to install properly. --IsaacGS 00:53, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

JMS now has the Maple Island with slimes, pigs, and stumps too. Also I've read JMS has the new world maps, but I couldn't find them in the data. I looked under map.wz. -- Takiten 01:11, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

That's where the World Maps are located... Though it's pretty far down. Each map (at least this is how it was before) comes out in its own folder. --IsaacGS 01:14, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

So are we going to add jMS to the upgraded world maps? talking about this, are wre going to add Kerning Airport and the party leader changing system too?--Fideltan 23:59, 7 August 2007 (CDT)

Still need a little confirmation on that. It would be safe to go ahead and add it though. Kerning airport is not a necessary addition, it's a single map with a sole purpose, and if a version has the airport they will also have Singapore, it seems unnecessary. Now, if at some point in the future, Kerning airport provided other destinations (Say, a 5 minute flight to Ludi?) then it would deserve its own section. Party leader changing, well I can see that going either way. I'll let someone else weigh in. --IsaacGS 03:11, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

(JMS now has the Maple Island with slimes, pigs, and stumps too. Also I've read JMS has the new world maps, but I couldn't find them in the data. I looked under map.wz.) from Takiten... What do you mean by that? What is the place called? How can you prove that?--Fideltan 04:16, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Party Leader Changing System[edit]

Does any version apart from KMS and ThMS has it? I think that JMS could have it. Does any other version have it? - Wkkim9292 01:33, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

Definitely not in Global. I don't believe it's in SEA either. Taiwan and china are always hard to know, though. --IsaacGS 01:35, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
How about JMS or EMS? - Wkkim9292 01:40, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
It does not exist in EMS yet. Vigilium 02:35, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
This system is in KMS Ariant patch, then JMS would have it now. -- PiPU 03:05, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

A new tab - Event[edit]

I think we should add an "Event" tab to the tables that will include every event like "Franch revlution PQ or Halloween and so on". What do you think? Hurricane 14:46, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

There is a section for event monsters, and most of the events are either solely based around the monster, or principally based around it. There's also an event quest section... So what's left that would need a separate section? --IsaacGS 14:53, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

CMS Ariant[edit]

The CMS website doesn't show that CMS got Ariant. Where is the Patch Note which says that CMS got Ariant in this month's patch? - Wkkim9292 00:05, 7 August 2007 (CDT)

I'll look around, but then again that Mu Lung picture didn't appear until a few weeks ago, and they got it a long time ago...--IsaacGS 00:26, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
So far, All I see mention of is level 200 skills, and 3rd anniversary. Still looking, though.--IsaacGS 00:44, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
I looked at all the recent announcements (geez, CMS gets 3-4 website updates a day) and can't see any reference to Ariant. While it's the next logical thing for them to get, and it is believable, I can't find anything to back it up. i'm gonna contact the person who initially added it. --IsaacGS 01:00, 7 August 2007 (CDT)
Sorry, it was a mistake. I will fix it. Hurricane 06:17, 7 August 2007 (CDT)

What name?[edit]

Should we call the new thailand map as "Peace Temple" or "Golden Temple"? The MSEA maple tv says it is golden temple but many says is peace temple...--Fideltan 00:03, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

Today, ThailandMS has released 0.37 full client. In the string file use "อารามแห่งความร่มรื่น (Peace Temple)" (They change thai item and map into thai language) instead of Golden Temple. -- PiPU 00:34, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
Maybe we can call it "Peace Tample/Golden Tample" or "Peace/Golden Tample". Hurricane 07:55, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

PiPU, if you can, could you take some screenshots of the town and monkey forest + goblin caves? Also, is there a new mini-map icon? -- Takiten 11:29, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

I think we should call it Golden Temple, since that is the english name of it that appears in the data. There have been other towns written in other language that ended up being different once translated to the English versions of maple, like "Earth Defence Headquarters" in KMS/JMS/CMS/TMS, while in the data for all those versions, the icon for it said "Omega Sector" in english. Chances are it will be called Golden Temple in MapleSEA/GlobalMS if those versions ever get it. -- Takiten 13:47, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
I agree. I found out that they changed the road name to "Siam" for Floating market too, i've already updated the page. I'll see if I can find the icon now.--IsaacGS 14:02, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
Speaking of road names, did ThailandMS get the new world maps? If so, did the road names get changed to reflect KMS's changes? All of Orbis should be under Sky Road now, all of El Nath, El Nath Mts./Mountains, ect... -- Takiten 19:40, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
Yes, they did. Ludibrium now says "Ludibrium Castle" so I would assume that means all the others were changed as well. here's a link to the image showing it: [2] --IsaacGS 20:33, 8 August 2007 (CDT)
Wow, I was kind of skeptic about the road names being changed, since they didn't get changed in JMS. Now we just need to update all the screenshots with the new road names lol... or we could do what I did with the floating market picture, and just copy/pased the Siam road name into the pic. I hope GMS get's these new maps/road names soon too. -- Takiten 22:50, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

Anyone against me changing all mentions of "Ludibrium" to "Ludibrium Castle"? I think that's probably going to be the new town name in the future for MSEA/GMS too. -- Takiten 22:53, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

It makes sense. Heck, I can even recall there being several Ludi quests where they referred to Ludibrium as a Castle, and to the King of Ludibrium, and even calling it the "Castle in the Sky". The new name makes more sense.--IsaacGS 23:04, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

Here's some screenshot of new Thai map. [3] The NPC in world-select screen show the official Thai map name. It's Peace Temple not Golden Temple like the screenshot from Thailand GM Test Server -- PiPU 03:25, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

I found all the new road names that were included in this patch. They didn't copy KMS exactly... Orbis, El Nath, and Aquarium still have the old road names, but Orbis/El Nath hunting grounds roads are changed. New Road Names:

  • El Nath Mountain Range (for all the hunting grounds, but forgot to change Icy Valley 1 and 2's road name though)
  • Dead Mine (from the beginning of level 50+ maps to the Entrance to Zakum Altar)
  • Sky Road (for all Orbis related hunting grounds)
  • Orbis Tower (all orbis tower maps)
  • Eos Tower (all eos tower maps, name error too "Eos Tower : EOS TOWER 101nd Floor" yes 101nd.)
  • Ludibrium Castle (main town map, and toy factory/terrace)
  • Ludibrium Town (for the village maps)
  • Lowest Floor of Clocktower (From Path of Time down)
  • Ludus Lake (All Omega Sector hunting grounds, and including main town map, and only the main town map for KFT was changed)

All Korean Folk Town, Leafre, Mu Lung, and Herb Town road names are unchanged, but will probably be changed once those towns are released. All Coke Town and hunting ground strings are now in English ("Hidden Street : Coke Town" is main map name), plus they added Korean Strings for Ariant and Monster Carnival. -- Takiten 10:04, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

So now, Should we call the new town "Peace Temple" or "Golden Temple" or "Peace/Golden Temple"?????--Fideltan 00:51, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

A Map Link?[edit]

Should we create a map link like the one on http://sea.hidden-street.net/maps/vikerningcity.php? I know the website is not accurate.--Fideltan 20:57, 8 August 2007 (CDT)

I'm working on making maps for the areas in MapleStory (for Global), but I can't figure out how to decipher the html table that says where everything goes. Any help with that would be great. --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 11:13, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

World Maps[edit]

I uploaded the English versions of the new world maps. While all of the world maps are currently present in ThaiMS's data, they're not all translated. The Victoria, Maple Island, and El Nath Mts are probably in their final form, but the Ludus Lake and Aqua Road maps are missing KFT's label. I also uploaded the untranslated Mureung Gardens and Minar Forest maps, mostly to get rid of the Sauna watermarks. The whole world map that's in ThaiMS's data doesn't have Magatia on it, so I held off on it. --IsaacGS 21:55, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

I think you messed up Minar Forest... it shows Mureung Garden's now. About Magatia, does KMS's world map have Magatia on it? -- Takiten 22:44, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
Ah nevermind, never noticed the world map on the page with Magatia on it. I reverted the Minar Forest to a previous version that doesn't have the water mark. Don't know if you have a better version or not though. -- Takiten 22:51, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
Oops, I did mess that up. Thanks for fixing it. The full world map that's up now was cropped out of a screenshot, the only problem with it is that I was standing in Magatia when I took it so it has the arrow pointing to where I am over top of Magatia.--IsaacGS 23:32, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

NPCs[edit]

Should we make a page with every NPC and write where he is and what quests does he give? Hurricane 01:47, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

This is something I've tried before and the idea has been brought up many times. It's pretty much been established that it's a lot of work for little effort... Though, I guess maybe if we only uploaded the ones used for quests and put them next to each quest they're for, that would be OK. I'll see what other people think of this.--IsaacGS 02:19, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
I think uploading NPCs next to quests they're for is a better idea than creating whole page just for NPCs. In the quests is info where to find a NPC. Vigilium 02:51, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

Maple Island extension[edit]

Is there really a Maple Island extension with pigs and slimes and.....? If it is real, why is there no info? Where do you guys heard it from?--Fideltan 05:15, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

It's not really an "extension" per se, but they added Slimes, Stumps, and Pigs to the existing maps, and more quests, where you can obtain new items like Green Apples that restore MP. I've seen them on Maple Island myself, I think I even still have a few in KMS. When JMS got Ariant, they got these as well. --IsaacGS 14:25, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
So did anyone get the info? What is the area called? Do you have any screenshots?--Fideltan 21:30, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
There are no new maps, it's just adding new items and slimes, stumps, and pigs to the maps that are already there. A few new quests. That's all. --IsaacGS 22:24, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
What quests are they? Do you mean this quests:

1>>>> Protect Lucas Farm

2>>>> Yoona's Shopping Guide (must go to cash shop and buy a 1 meso thing)

I juz found this quests yesterday in SEA. --Fideltan 23:10, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

No... They're different. They aren't in SEA or GMS. They're only in JMS and KMS, they award a stolen Fence shield and a bunch of Green MP Apples.--IsaacGS 23:22, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
How about those quests i found in SEA?--Fideltan 07:23, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
They are different, cash shop related quests. Not an expansion, they've been in SEA for a long time and I don't think they'll come to any other versions. not worth a new section of the chart at least.--IsaacGS 14:57, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
How about adding them in to the quest guide?--Fideltan 00:23, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Quests[edit]

Why isn't the quests in Formosa, Siam and Singapore not added?--Fideltan 00:23, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Because no one who edits here has done them before. If you can add info about any quests in those places, as long as it meets the same standards of the other quests, Feel free. Once any of those towns reach Global, I will put them up there, or maybe someone will beat me to it. But until someone does the quest, no one can write a guide on it.--IsaacGS 00:27, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

But the version i play doesn't has any of those except Singapore but i dun think i can do it. Also, i think gMS can't get this maps so early. I thought u hav play kMS?--Fideltan 00:48, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Question about new bosses[edit]

What happen if eMS will get Zakum? How am I suppose to edit the monsters page? Put every hand, body and summons, just the body, just the body and the summons or what? Please answer me. thank you :) - Hurricane 07:48, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Put all of the pieces and summons. Also the Mimic from the Zakum Pre-quests. Though, I can't imagine EMS will get Zakum before 3rd job, that would just be ridiculous.--IsaacGS 15:03, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
Look at my user page, you'll understand what I'm doing. And thanks for answering me :) Hurricane 15:24, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
Lol, that seems unnecessary, but whatever you want to do. :P --IsaacGS 15:54, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

About the fake bosses in KMS/GMS, is there a reason why they are listed under "Event monsters" and under the Regular monster levels pages? Shouldn't they just be "Event monsters"? -- Takiten 14:08, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

Nope, I guess they should be taken out of the regular pages. It gets kinda confusing having the same monsters listed twice with different stats. --IsaacGS 14:17, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
Is the golden pig monster from JMS an event monster too? -- Takiten 16:10, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
I don't know... It is in the same section of the data as the Monster Carnival monsters. It might be for that, it might not. I haven't seen any comments on JMS forums about the pigs randomly spawning so I think it might be part of the Carnival PQ.--IsaacGS 16:24, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

Anyone wants the WZ files of eMS?[edit]

I can upload it on August 16 but I need to know if anyone need it. You will be amazed of the things eMS has in their data :) And where can I upload the files? They're too big. - Hurricane 13:07, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

If I have trouble updating my version ( I don't expect it, but who knows.) then I will need it, but I don't foresee any problems.--IsaacGS 12:57, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
Oh Isaac I thought you don't have it, never mind :P -- Hurricane 13:31, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

How do I rename images?[edit]

I uploaded this image: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Image:Giant_Tomato.png But I forgot that I need to add the words: "MS_Monster" before it. so how do I rename it? -- Hurricane 13:30, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

The best you can do is tag it with a {{rename}} and wait for one of the Admins to do it. I'll have to reupload it, or I can simply delete the existing file and let you upload it again with a proper name.--IsaacGS 13:59, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
I'll do it. Please don't delete it before we have a replacement because it may leave broken image links and oyu can't undelete images--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 14:04, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
Done, it's now here--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 14:07, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
I was gonna let him upload it again, seeing as how people got upset the last time I reuploaded things for them :(--IsaacGS 14:18, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
That's okay. you can upload it for me :) -- Hurricane 01:06, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Fortune Teller System[edit]

Fortune Teller System is a system that you need to talk to Cassandra, buy a cash shop item, talk to her again and you'll get a potion? If it's like that so it's just like Gachapon. Should it be on the "Other" table or on the "Mini-games" table? -- Hurricane 05:54, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Just go to my thread, Fortune Teller System, a minigame and you will noe.--Fideltan 01:37, 26 September 2007 (CDT)

World Tour Guide[edit]

I have another question. Every version that has a town of the world tour has the World Tour Guide, isn't it? So we should remove it from the "Others" table. Hurricane 05:57, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

There is a possibility that a version can have a World Tour Area and have not the World Tour Guide. If the area was created in a version of Maple with no other World Tour Area. In that version you go there not through World Tour Guide, but there is always an other way. It can happen in Europe version.Vigilium 07:13, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Peace or Gold Temple[edit]

And also is it Peace Temple or Golden Temple? http://203.144.244.115/images/4C8_01.jpg It says "Golden Temple" at the minimap. Then, GO TO http://maple.asiasoft.co.th/newsPreview.asp?contID=4915 <<Hope it works>> Read the first paragraph talking about the new maps. I should be like that

Do you notice it writes "Peace Temple". So what should it be?--Fideltan 07:02, 15 August 2007 (CDT)
It says Golden Tample in-game so it's Golden Tample. -- Hurricane 08:36, 15 August 2007 (CDT)
Actually it says อารามแห่งความร่มรื่น for the map name in-game, which means Peace Temple. That screenshot is from the pre-released Golden Temple. Here is a real screenshot from in-game. Since we go by english names, and the data shows the name "goldtemple" or "goldentemple" for the mapletv and the music tracks, we decided to use Golden Temple for the english name. If this town gets released in MapleSEA or GlobalMS and turns out to have a different name, we can always change it later. -- Takiten 13:09, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Release of Ariant in CMS?[edit]

In a MapleStory forum, I saw this picture [4]. Do you think that Ariant is released in ChinaMS? - Wkkim9292 23:01, 16 August 2007 (CDT)

If that is Chinese text, then it could possibly be from the test server. What is more shocking about that map is that Magatia is on it, and Magatia's not on the world map from JMS.--IsaacGS 23:56, 16 August 2007 (CDT)
After extracting data, ChinaMS doesn't have Ariant yet. It looks like it's coming next patch though. -- Takiten 11:14, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Amoria[edit]

MapleSEA is going to release Amoria on Sept 12 they will also remove the current wedding system source http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=108186 --XreddevilsX 04:51, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

I think PBI will be cleared soon as SEA is releasing Amoria, CMS and TwMS will follow this change if i'm right. Also, JMS is releasing Amoria soon.--Fideltan 05:15, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
Yes, PBI should be removed once Amoria is in place. I don't know about CMS, after all they were the ones who created PBI, I'm not so sure they'd ditch it. JMS has had Amoria data lying dormant since about January now, so it could come up at any time for them, especially since they've basically run out of Ossyria to patch in (except Magatia, which is too new.) so it may be. --IsaacGS 11:47, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Yea...they will delete it because no one wedding because the PBI is a lamest system i ever seen(you buy many overalls in cash shop and pay 100k [and the gusts pay 100k to enter the wedding X_X).. When amoria will be there many people will be wedding and it's mean more money,Amoria wedding system is the best system i ever seen: Great wedding,Nice look of places, many choices how to weeding in what u want,New quest's and APQ that GMS have it(in the future it will be in other MS that have Amoria.--Ofir38 12:05, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

I thought I would post this because it's very cool. The Forum Moderator used our MapleStory/Towns/Amoria page to introduce it to them. Check it out here <3: http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=108186&page=7 --IsaacGS 12:38, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

lol i never thinking on my had that a GM will be use from our MS data and use it for all people.. that means that we are very good at info ^^. --Ofir38 16:00, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

I'm sure that Leafre would be coming up with Amoria because SEA already delayed it to this year. I think CMS and TwMS will not ditch it cos' PBI is a Chinese Style Wedding.--Fideltan 22:33, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, Amoria isn't too good for mSEA. They will get Leafre's first part. Or maybe they'll get Floating Market. -- Hurricane 00:49, 18 August 2007 (CDT)
I don't understand what's not good about it... Amoria is better than Peach Blossom in every way. The Mushroom Miso Ramen being lost isn't the end of the world, all the other versions sure managed just fine without it.--IsaacGS 00:57, 18 August 2007 (CDT)

I didn't say that Amoria is bad. I just said that mSEA is getting a lot of stuff in a patch so they would probably get another town. -- Hurricane 03:29, 18 August 2007 (CDT) Who knows maybe amoria will be diff from global.. and they dont want amoria (mapleSEA) because they can buy there (in PBI) the Mushroom Miso Ramen . but we manged with out it and so korea MS and many.

when NLC will come to SEA they will forget about the Mushroom Miso Ramen pot..--Ofir38 08:45, 18 August 2007 (CDT)

There is no guild BBS in europe MS!!!![edit]

please stop edit that that there is there... there is no BBS at europe MS! --Ofir38 06:04, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

and here the proof that is now BBS in europe MS yet.--Ofir38 06:19, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Yes there is. when I was a hacker, in the open beta, I was in a hacker only guild (Now I'm not hacking and it's much better) and there was a guild BBS.

Maybe you need to join a guild to see it. Or they just removed it. I'll ask SW. -- Hurricane 07:22, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

How can you say that there is no guild BBS if you have no guld. LOL

The same situation in GlobalMS: Vigilium 09:03, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

See? im right there is not BBS system in europe MS!!@--Ofir38 09:56, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

now i screend in my noob player the BBS and there im not in a guild and there is aBBS icon i say there is no icon of BBS in europe... so how u can get in to the BBS if u dont have icon -_---Ofir38 10:00, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Ofir you see? In gMS you don't see the GuildBBS button untill you're in a guild.

ur idiot arent u?. check the picture of mine the last and there is a butten of GUILD BBS!!!!. in EMS there not such a butten of BBS--Ofir38 11:46, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Listen all people!!!! in GMS there is BBS icon in the guild and in EMS there arent. please understand me...--Ofir38 11:54, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Ofir, take it easy and stop cursing. So I didn't see, geez.
Fine, you "won". happy? -- Hurricane 12:02, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
If there's really no BBS in EMS, then it's been wrong since we copied that chart over from Wikipedia, and it's still wrong there to this day...--IsaacGS 12:07, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
Alright, I looked into this. When the chart was split up here, there must have been some sort of mistake, because the edit where EMS has Guild BBS changed from "no" to "Yes" says "Synchronizing with Strategywiki's template", and ours has said "yes" since it was created. So it may not have ever been there at all.--IsaacGS 12:16, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
eMS HAD GuildBBS. Now they don't. So they removed it after the open beta patch. But how can I know if it was a mistake or not? o.0 -- Hurricane 12:22, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

see i knew i was right ><... and there is no guild BBS there ever before

Please try to keep replies in sentence and paragraph form, and use : to indent. It makes it much easier to follow. Now, back on topic, is the matter resolved and can we delete the images? -- Prod (Talk) 00:32, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
Yes we can. -- Hurricane 06:49, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
There. Discussion over, images gone, case closed.--IsaacGS 11:56, 20 August 2007 (CDT)

eMS's 3rd job[edit]

eMS had 3rd job in the first beta for like a week but then they removed it. Does it mean we should write: "No|Removed" or just "No" in the job section? -- Hurricane 12:20, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

No, it was only in game by accident. Accidental releases don't count as being "removed". If that were true, then you'd have to put "removed" next to Leafre and Omega Sector for EMS and next to Night Market and Ximending for MSEA.--IsaacGS 12:17, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
Leafre and Omega Sector was a glitch. And I always forget to sign my messages >< -- Hurricane 12:20, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
If it's the first week of beta and there was 3rd job, it's probably because they used another versions' base code to start building EMS from the ground up (judging by the way EMS is structured, it seems like they used SEA as a template). Since every version currently has 3rd job except EMS, it was probably accidentally left implemented. There's really no reason they would put it in on purpose and deliberately remove it, so it was either an oversight or an accident, but regardless it's not an intentional addition/removal.--IsaacGS 12:28, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Mu Lung?[edit]

It looks like GMS might get Mu Lung this week. There's cash shop items up on the site, and one of them is the Mu Lung hair coupon.--IsaacGS 23:28, 20 August 2007 (CDT)

I wonder if we will get Herb Town too. Since we got Mushroom Shrine without Showa, there's always a chance they will split Mu Lung/Herb Town and Ximending/Night Market... Could be an interesting patch. -- Takiten 23:52, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
If they will Notice about patch i will update the info here ^^.--Ofir38 02:38, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
I think we'll get Herb Town. Every version got Mu Lung and Herb Town in 1 patch. But every version got Leafre and 4th job before Mu Lung. So maybe Nexon will surprise us and we'll get Mu Lung only. And I don't know why but I feel like we're getting Upgraded World Maps. Well, I hope so. -- Hurricane 03:00, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
I have a question to ask about GMS. Is GMS ver0.40 or ver.41?--Fideltan 05:25, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
GMS is v0.40. Woot EMS is getting pets this thursday :D -- Hurricane 05:31, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

Yay!!! they finally do a good patch.... HPQ is gonna out herb town,mu lung and black crow area =D--Ofir38 03:04, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Heard that Herb Town PQ was not released. Is it true?

Unfortunately this is true....NEXON sucks when they do a good patch they must to change it to sucks patch... if they was release HTPQ i was thing they are good but they are not -_---Ofir38 12:44, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Ludibrium Maze Party Quest isn't exclusive anymore?[edit]

Last patch (0.41) GMS got some stuff in their data: - Acc7 and Acc8 in the Map.wz file (Acc7 has Mu Lung and Herb Town objects and Acc8 has Ariant and Magatia objects). - LMPQ (Ludi Maze PQ) ticket (Open String.wz>Item>Etc>4001106).

Some people said that we also got LMPQ NPC. So should we change the PQs section? should we change the word "Exclusive" to "Yes"? And how can I do a new line? >< -- Hurricane 14:36, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

No...they put it in MS data for future things... if we have more info so we will change it drom exclusive.--Ofir38 14:38, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

We are the first version that has the data of it. I think we'll get it. BTW, the Henesys PQ is in Henesys :D -- Hurricane 14:43, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

GMS is not the first version to get data for Ludi maze PQ. TaiwanMS and I think ThialandMS have had data/strings for LMPQ for awhile too but have not released it. It could just be dormant data added to GMS that will never be used, like Coke Town. -- Takiten 15:00, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

GMS copied their data from KMS, that's why we got Coke Town in our data. But now GMS ADDED LMPQ to the data. And maybe TaiwanMS took their data from JMS when they just started. -- Hurricane 15:03, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Anyone know if the LMPQ NPC is actually in Ludibrium right now, or if she is just in the data? If she is standing up there next to the elevator, then we probably just got the data from EuropeMS, since they also have the NPC there, but not the PQ. EuropeMS also has the Henesys PQ NPC in-game, but not the PQ. -- Takiten 17:41, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

No, EMS doesn't have HPQ or LMPQ NPCs in game. They removed it. -- Hurricane 02:08, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
Well that's the key point I was making, EMS used to have those NPCs in-game, so the data was there at one point. -- Takiten 10:51, 23 August 2007 (CDT)

EMS Ranking[edit]

I have visited the EMS website but didn't see any ranking. Is it actually patched yet or I didn't see it? - Wkkim9292 23:22, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

I think it's only at the login screen in game. --IsaacGS 23:26, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, it's only at the login screen in game. -- Hurricane 02:08, 23 August 2007 (CDT)

There is a server check tomrrow (30.8) and they said they will add Ems Ranking in web :) --Moshik1212

Perfect English usage[edit]

I have 2 questions to ask. 1st question, Should we use phrase 1 or phrase 2?

Phrase 1: Ariant, Magatia and Herb Town.
Phrase 2: Ariant, Magatia, and Herb Town.
2nd Question, Should we use British and American English?--Fideltan 03:40, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
At Hebrew it's Ariant, Magatia and Herb Town... I think it's the same with English. About the second question, does it metter? -- Hurricane 05:44, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
The proper grammar for listing is to not put a comma before the "and", so phrase 1 is right. Officially, it's probably better to stick to American english (spelling-wise in particular, Color instead of "colour") but individual editors are going to have different ways of saying things so it will probably vary a little.--IsaacGS 10:00, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
Technically, either way is fine with the commas; use whichever you prefer. For spelling, try to follow what has already been selected on a page, and based on where the game is from. Canadian games are typically colourful. -- Prod (Talk) 20:43, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Use of "Exclusive" in our charts[edit]

The way things have been going lately, it seems like "exclusive" has become a totally unnecessary term. I was thinking, why do we not simply use "exclusive" in the same way that Nexon and the other publishers use it, to denote the version of Origin? For example, Zipangu in the chart would say:

Town KoreaMS JapanMS ChinaMS TaiwanMS ThailandMS MapleSEA GlobalMS EuropeMS
Towns missing from GlobalMS
MS Mushroom Shrine Icon.png
Mushroom Shrine
Zipangu
Yes Exclusive No Yes Yes Yes Yes No
This way, our data is consistent with the terminology used by the publisher. The only difficulty I foresee with this is that certain areas which are still only in one version (Singapore and NLC come to mind) will give off the wrong idea. We would need to make it VERY clear how we're using the terms.--IsaacGS 10:00, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
Instead of the exclusive tag, how about something like the flag icon used for FM entrances. If we had another Icon to use, we could label it "Icon = Version original content" or "Icon = Originally released as exclusive" something like that. -- Takiten
But Exclusive means that there's something that only 1 version has it and it will stay that way. Or maybe I'm wrong? And I agree with Takiten, we should put a new icon. but what will it be? -- Hurricane 11:50, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
Well nexon said that their definition of "exclusive" is different than the dictionary definition. By nexon's terms, Zipangu is exclusive to JMS, but can still be released on other versions, as it has. -- Takiten 12:23, 23 August 2007 (CDT)
Alright, I created an Exclusive template, it uses a Maple Leaf that I found in JMS data which looks a lot like the Rally flag we have for FM entrances. Check it out on my user page and tell me what you think.--IsaacGS 21:29, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I found something intersting: TaiwanMS will be 0.57 on 4/9 and they are getting Showa Hideout. u can go to http://tw.maplestory.gamania.com/event/20070822_v/intro.html to check it.--Fideltan 00:50, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Looks like they're also getting The Mushroom Town Training Camp. If you click on Anego it goes through a flash animation of the stage. Big JP data patch I guess.--IsaacGS 01:06, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for checking it.--Fideltan 01:31, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

The maple leaf icon looks fine to me. Maybe we could use it on other parts of the chart, and not just the world tour. Like Mushroom Town Training Camp can have the leaf icon next to it for JapanMS, since that version created it. -- Takiten 22:27, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, that sounds good. PQs and stuff too. I'll start adding them to the chart.--IsaacGS 22:45, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

New Things Coming Up[edit]

I visited many forums and many people said this:

  • EMS will be 0.29 on 1/9 and releasing Omega Sector.
  • SEA will be 0.46 on 12/9 and releasing Leafre and Amoria.

Is it true? --Fideltan 01:42, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

EMS will be 0.29 on 1.9 because the Tomatina event is over. We don't know what they're going to release.
SEA will be 0.46 on 12.9 because they're going to add Amoria, they made an announcement on site.People just guess that they will get Leafre also because they always get good patches and Amoria isn't too good for them. -- Hurricane 02:07, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

EMS has no 0.29 patch on the 1.9 or either the 30.8 there is a server check that will add the EMS web ranking system =]Moshik1212

Hmm... That doesn't stop the giant tomatoes from spawning in town, though. So I guess they'll have to deal with it for a while longer..?--IsaacGS 11:32, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

1 question about PP Forum[edit]

Go to http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=113494. Scroll down to the 15th Post and u read it. Did we show this message? Why it is not like the normal SEA type and like the GMS type.--Fideltan 02:45, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

He made it up, It's not the real one. And come on, v49? :| -- Hurricane 04:23, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

TaiwanMS Patch v0.57[edit]

I heard that TaiwanMS is getting Showa Mansion and Mushroom town training camp. Are they getting Pine Forest as well and if they do, are they getting the Black Crow boss or are they not getting it like KMS? - Wkkim9292 02:49, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

They are getting Pine Forest (You see the monster Water Goblin in the flash), I'm not sure if they're getting Black Crow... -- Hurricane 04:24, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I was looking at this, and they have characters on the site wearing Amoria Cash Shop gear. They're also getting a lovers minigame. Maybe Amoria soon? I find it really odd.--IsaacGS 13:45, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
It's old and I thought they have Amoria already O_O I guess they're getting Amoria soon. -- Hurricane 14:11, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Okay, it's confirm. TaiwanMS is getting Amoria in October.
http://tw.maplestory.gamania.com/event/event.asp?id=2594&Event_type=2 -- Hurricane 14:16, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
how is it old? The picture I'm talking about is related to the Tarot cards game that's just coming out. O_O Anyway, this is very interesting, it leaves ChinaMS as the only version with Peach Blossom, and they created it. Though, if I'm reading the Taiwan info right, it looks like Peach Blossom will become a regular publicly accessible place once Amoria is in game?--IsaacGS 14:19, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I saw it like 4 days ago... And I hate Google Translate, I don't understand a word from his translation... I'll read again -- Hurricane 14:39, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Oh, I saw the flash of Amoria 4 days ago. This is a new announcement.

Okay, they're also getting a new Amoria Cards mini-game:

here-- Hurricane 14:43, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
That's Tarot Cards, if you read the text on them (The lovers, for instance) the names match up with Tarot Card titles. I added it to the Mini-games chart already. Got a link to the Taiwanese Amoria flash?--IsaacGS 14:46, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
This one? http://tw.maplestory.gamania.com/main_banner.swf -- Hurricane 14:56, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
That's just the scrolly sidebar. O_O I didn't see it in that rotating thing though, I'll check again.--IsaacGS 15:08, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

It Official MapleSEA is getting Leafre[edit]

http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=114609 3 patch in a month for MapleSEA --XreddevilsX 05:37, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

SEA does not gets 4th Job and HornTail right?--Fideltan 05:59, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
SEA isn't getting 4th job, I'm not sure about Horned tail. -- Hurricane 09:16, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
They probably aren't getting the Ice fields or dragon forest areas either. That monster page is in desperate need of being fixed.--IsaacGS 11:46, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Someone nid to remove the lastest patch info whereas someone say maplesea is not gonna get icefields/dragon forest no want noe we getting them anot we nid to wait until the patch is available to change so in the meantime just stat it as no for leafre n icefields sry for my english T_T--XreddevilsX 00:05, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

It looks like it already says no on the chart, I don't see any other references to the Ice Fields being in SEA, so I don't see what the problem is.--IsaacGS 00:35, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

A new chart regarding pets?[edit]

Should we create a chart with what versions have what pets?--Fideltan 06:23, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

I think it's a good idea. Anyone play TaiwanMS or ThailandMS? I play EuropeMS and they got the kitty and the puppy. -- Hurricane 07:07, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I don't really think it's worthwhile to make availability charts for all these things. For one it's hard to keep track of. We already have pictures and description of all the Pets on here. Basically, people are only interested in seeing the pets themselves, they don't really care what version it's in... I guess if you guys want to create and maintain the chart, go for it, but I see little benefit in it...--IsaacGS 14:21, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Pine Forest and Showa Hideout[edit]

Do these need to be listed on the town availability chart anymore? All versions that have Mushroom Shrine also have Pine Forest now, and all versions with Showa also have Showa Hideout. I don't think we need to list them seperate anymore, at least not until another version gets one thing without the other. Also if MapleSEA doesn't get Dragon Forest/Canyon of Leafre, should we re-add those to the chart? We had them on before, but that was before all versions with Leafre had the complete Leafre. -- Takiten 16:47, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

I think we should leave it alone, after all we've got Dead Mine on there and that's in Every version. Pine Forest is a maybe, but Showa Hideout still poses a few questions (like GMS and how it'll appear there, if at all.) and the Dragon Forest definitely needs to be added, I seriously doubt SEA is getting the full package.--IsaacGS 16:54, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Well the only reason Dead Mine is there is because it has it's own Icon... It wouldn't be there if it used the regular El Nath Icon. -- Takiten 17:25, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
Ok then, let's remove Pine Forest until whatever time EMS gets Zipangu. I'll wait to see someone else's opinion on Showa Hideout, I can't imagine it would be split up again but who knows.--IsaacGS 17:47, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Fishing system[edit]

Does it require a patch? Because we got it in our data since last patch. -- Hurricane 15:29, 25 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, we don't have the maps in the data.--IsaacGS 17:14, 25 August 2007 (CDT)
So we're getting Fishing system next patch... Nice :D -- Hurricane 03:25, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

Entire Leafre for SEA?[edit]

Refer to this post by a moderator of the MSEA forums. http://forums.playpark.net/showpost.php?p=1629666&postcount=294 Should we edit the Lastest Patches chart then? Since it is confusing alot of people.

To be honest... The moderator said nothing at all...Vigilium 03:17, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

TaiwanMS's Showa Hideout[edit]

It's diffrent. http://tw.maplestory.gamania.com/event/20070822_v/npc_2.html Look, The Crow Boss is in Showa Hideout. And they also got Water Goblins in Showa Hideout. -- Hurricane 03:00, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

lol wtf? Why does everyone have to screw up Zipangu when they get it? that's 3 different versions of it already. >_> Well, they could have just put it there for the flash animation. Let's wait until after they've patched it in to make the call.--IsaacGS 03:13, 26 August 2007 (CDT)
Well, it's not really inside Showa Hideout. He's outside the window. -- Hurricane 03:24, 26 August 2007 (CDT)
Who are all of the NPCs in the Showa Hideout? I didn't think that they are in JMS or MSEA. Are they in JMS or MSEA? - Wkkim9292 22:23, 26 August 2007 (CDT)
I know there's an NPC that you must talk to in order to reach Anego, but I'm not sure if that's it, and that's definitely not where (s)he belongs. It could be that they are just fitting these in randomly for the sake of the flash animation.--IsaacGS 22:59, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

TaiwanMS new patch[edit]

http://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/Patches#Update_-_September_4.2C_2007 I didn't see that in TaiwanMS site... where do you see that? And what's "imdisclosure"? -- Hurricane 11:43, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

Someone from Sleepywood.net sent me this link to a new youtube video, from TaiwanMS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vadjWAa2eJQ It's an enormous tree boss. Looking at the video, it must be powerful because it took that 4th job ranger quite some time to destroy it, and it did a good bit of damage. It looks like that map is the last one in KFT, where the Goblin Kings are summoned, but there are no blin and the portal on the far right of the map doesn't exist in the real map. Is this some sort of event? I'm downloading TaiwanMS again... Let's see what we're in for.--IsaacGS 16:19, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

They probably disabled the blins spawns for the event, like when they disabled the hector spawns at cold field 2 during the anniversary event. And that new portal, I think is a 4th job storybook quest portal for a specific class. There are a few new portals scattered around victoria and ossyria specifically for 4th job storybook quests. -- Takiten 02:59, 4 September 2007 (CDT)

A strange NPC[edit]

Does anyone know who is it?

File:MS strange NPC.png

I found it in MS Global files. In the file is somthing like that: "info.script.0.script PartyAmoria_play2". Is there any NPC like this in Amoria PQ?Vigilium 08:51, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, he's from Amoria PQ. And what happened to SW? -- Hurricane 09:06, 28 August 2007 (CDT)
Uhm.... In Amoria PQ the guide NPC is Amos the Strong, not this Alien thingy. If he is from the PQ, what exacly is he there for? He looks like a villain, not like a NPC that will help. In his animation he looks like he would try to use some kind of magic or paranormal power. Vigilium 10:36, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

If I'm not mistaken, he's from the bonus stage. Let's wait for Isaac to confirm. And anyone knows what happened to Sleepywood forum? -- Hurricane 10:51, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, his name is The Glimmer Man and he is from Amoria PQ. He's in the first stage (he asks you to break his mirror which is allowing monsters to escape) and he's in the Exit stage. He's also referenced by Elpam Gorlab and Jack Barricade in New Leaf City. Contrary to his appearance he's a good guy.--IsaacGS 12:01, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

World Tour quests[edit]

I just wonder: maybe it's time to divide World Tour quests by areas (Zipangu, Singapore, etc.). We get more quests in the section and sooner or later it will be needed. -- Vigilium 07:33, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

Rearranged Ossyia cites/towns/villages into regions?[edit]

I think we should merge Orbis and El Nath into El Nath Mountains; Ludibrium Castle, Omega Sector, and Korean Folk Town into Ludus Lake; Mu Lung and Herb Town into Mu Lung Garden and Ariant and Magatia into Nihal Desert also move Aquarium move to Aqua Road and Leafre move to Minar Forest? Similar to the Wolrd Tour formats.
-- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 21:42, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

I don't really like that idea... There's far too much detail on each of those areas. If they were small stub type things still, then that would be a better approach. These pages are getting decently long, and as I've been investigating the history of the Maple World lately I plan on expanding the lore related to each town quite a bit in the future. The regions are still mentioned on each town's individual page, and the top level "Towns" page, so it seems sufficient already. Not to mention I think it would confuse people who are used to the current format.--IsaacGS 23:48, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

ThaiMS, Leafre in .38[edit]

http://maple.asiasoft.co.th/patch/exitgame.html That's from when you close the game.--IsaacGS 03:03, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

Omg o_o well they cant get 4th job for sure before us Why? they dont have KFT wich is needed for the taming mob.... until they dont patch kft i dont see any reason to think they will get 4th job soon =] i hope you are right when you think we wil get leafre next... i really hope so...

Awwww Nexon sucks we are didnt got leafre and all other got it (expect europe MS)... dam--Ofir38 12:57, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

MapleSEA's Leafre[edit]

The monsters seem to be Nerfed. They have lower stats than they do in GMS data or in the other versions. Look, here's Hankie's stats for MSEA:

  • level 78
  • HP 20000
  • MP 100
  • avoid 30
  • exp 400
  • Knockback 2,000

Whereas the one from GMS data and the stats we have now say:

  • Level 80
  • HP 27,000
  • MP 300
  • Avoidability 28
  • Exp 850
  • Knockback 2,800
What should we do about this? It's clear that the existing stats aren't the same as what MSEA has. --IsaacGS 13:01, 2 September 2007 (CDT)
Alright, I just checked on Sauna, and it seems that there's two versions of Hankie in GMS data too. I guess it's the weaker one that spawns regularly, and the other must be for a quest or something? I'm gonna keep checking.--IsaacGS 13:04, 2 September 2007 (CDT)
Problem resolved, all the other monster's stats are normal. That one was a quest counterpart.--IsaacGS 13:22, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

Leafre and Singapore Quests[edit]

I found a guide about Leafre and Singapore Quests, It is a SEA website: http://www.maplesoup.com/MSSite_Guide/MSSite_Quests/MSSite_QuestST.php --Fideltan 08:05, 3 September 2007 (CDT)

New thiland MS boss[edit]

We didnt put him on new monster list 0_o here --Ofir38 11:15, 3 September 2007 (CDT) It's from TaiwanMS, not Thailand. I've been trying to get the stats for it unsuccessfully for a while now...--IsaacGS 13:15, 3 September 2007 (CDT)

Singapore's Trucker[edit]

We have mistaken that Trucker is lvl 38 but it is lvl 48! You can check it here: http://i14.tinypic.com/4yphik6.png--Fideltan 21:04, 5 September 2007 (CDT)

Isn't that just a fan made picture? I'm pretty sure it's a mistake and the Trucker is level 38 for sure. -- Takiten 10:43, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
Nah, I double-checked after I saw this, it is in fact level 48. I'm not sure what happened there. Besides, the stats fit in much better as a late 4x monster than a 3x monster.--IsaacGS 10:56, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

CMS new exclusive map[edit]

http://mxd.sdo.com/web2005/news/news.asp?newsid=7610

Looks like it says Zen Palace or Shaolin Temple. It looks pretty cool, vaguely resembles Mu Lung though. How should we handle this? A mention on the town page is certainly in order, but practically nothing is known at this point aside from its existence.--IsaacGS 23:30, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
I can help as I know Chinese--Xiaozhu 2007 01:15, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
I will go and update the world tour section now--Xiaozhu 2007 02:52, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Does this new area actually have two towns? I noticed there was a new minimap icon added to the town availability table and some new info added in the china article. But Does the second town have any NPC's? Just wondering if it's actually a town or if it is just an empty map before the inner temple/library maps. -- Takiten 22:32, 12 September 2007 (CDT)

Yes it does have two towns here the full map of the Shaolin Monastery area that also shows NPC and monsters. The Grand Hall of the Great Sage is a mini town kind of like Sleepywood. -- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 22:47, 12 September 2007 (CDT)

Has anyone figured out how to actually get to Mount Song Town yet? Do you talk to a specific NPC in Victoria that sends you there? Or do you talk to the world tour NPC? Or is there a NPC in Shanghai or Yuyuan Garden that sends you to Mount Song Town? -- Takiten 23:36, 12 September 2007 (CDT)

Right now on ChinaMST they use Spinel the World Tour Guide it directly sent you to Mount Song Town but I not sure if they will use a different way once it officially release in ChinaMS. Here a picture of Spinel the World Tour Guide in Mount Song Town (ChinaMST). -- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 00:06, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
Chances are it will stay that way in official ChinaMS too... That's interesting. Two China based options in the world tour now for ChinaMS. I guess the reason for that is because they only had 2 options in their world tour before, Shanghai and Floating Market. This at least makes it three options now. -- Takiten 00:11, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
I found some pictures of Shaolin Monastery. Go to http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=134756. Hope it helps --Fideltan 01:08, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

The Urn and MuYu Demon are in the second town's area this map is right before the second town. Look at the full map to see the change in maps between the first town and the second. The second towns maps start one map before the second town. Plus on the full map, it shows a map past the second town that has Urn mob spawns. -- Takiten 17:00, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

Miso Ramen back to SEA![edit]

Today, the MapleSEA Administrator informed everyone that the Miso Ramen can be bought in Leafre's Potion NPC!--Fideltan 05:34, 7 September 2007 (CDT)

Why in MSEA the Gm's listen to the players and change things?

in Gms they change it for bad :( fun for them--Ofir38 13:51, 7 September 2007 (CDT)

They do listen to player's complaints in GMS... People asked for a "to spouse" Chat option, we got it. Free Market, in NLC, bam, it's there. What Fideltan forgot to mention is to keep the Mushroom Miso Ramen, they TRIPLED The price, making it now the most expensive potion in the game.--IsaacGS 15:00, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
A mod said it would be repriced...--Xiaozhu 2007 02:47, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Kerning City Expansion?[edit]

"Top of Construction Area Beware of Falling Frog's Wetland" - What is it? -- Hurricane 02:11, 8 September 2007 (CDT)

I'm puzzled too...--Fideltan 02:15, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
I looked into it, it's some new maps created by TaiwanMS that are part of Kerning City. I don't understand why they did it but there's nothing that special about them. Still, it's something different so leave it on the chart. --IsaacGS 16:32, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
What are the monsters there???--Xiaozhu 2007 02:49, 9 September 2007 (CDT)
Ordinary Kerning City monsters like Octopus and Necki. O_O--IsaacGS 11:15, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Partial Availability[edit]

I really don't like the way the white looks in the chart. What colors would be best to denote "partial" availability and "coming soon"?--IsaacGS 11:19, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Regarding the chart, i can seem to see the html code--Xiaozhu 2007 08:01, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
Btw, I can only see the html codes for short charts...--Xiaozhu 2007 08:03, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
What browser are you using? O_O--IsaacGS 12:02, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
I am using Internet Explorer 7 & sometimes Mozilla Firefox. None of them seems to giv me the html codes for the long charts--Xiaozhu 2007 03:19, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
That's because the templates are remotely linked, if you look at the top of this page there's a section called "Templates" with links to each one, they can be edited from there.--IsaacGS 14:00, 16 September 2007 (CDT)

A Server Check for MapleSEA[edit]

There will be a server check on 12th September for SEA to remove PBI. Amoria will not be released that time. If you wan more info, pls proceed to http://www.maplesea.com/intro/news/game_news214.aspx or http://forums.playpark.net/showthread.php?t=132830.--Fideltan 02:24, 10 September 2007 (CDT)

A makeover?[edit]

Well, I was thinking. Animations are much better than images. Maybe we can change the monsters images to monsters animations? I mean, go to the new monsters page and look at cMS new monsters. Maybe we can animate each monster. I know, it's a lot of work but it will make it much better. -- Hurricane 13:36, 10 September 2007 (CDT)

While animations are always cooler, I prefer stills better because they load faster. -- Takiten 15:37, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
I also prefer the still PNGs. Not to mention, animations have to be made and it would take a lot longer to animate each of the 20 or so new monsters that come out in each past quickly. The PNGs (as you know) come straight from the data, it makes it a simple matter to upload the newest things fast. The only reason I used the GIFs for those Shaolin monsters is because the guy who extracted the stats put watermarks on all of the other stills. X_X And actually, I find all those monsters bouncing in unison kinda creepy. O_O--IsaacGS 16:32, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
The animations add nothing to the guide content and those pages already take forever to load. As soon as we can get rid of the gifs (and essentially all improperly named, non-png files) the better. -- Prod (Talk) 17:41, 10 September 2007 (CDT)

MapleStory/Quests/World Tour[edit]

I was trying to browse this for quest help the other day, and I found it very hard to use because of the way it is laid out. I thought about it, and what would seemingly be the best solution is a ToC that would sort the quests by which continent they are from (Zipangu/Siam/Singapore/etc.) in addition to having them all separated by level as it is now. So, before I started this, I'd like to ask others opinions on the matter, and the best way to go about it.--IsaacGS 21:47, 10 September 2007 (CDT)

How are they sorted in the quest log? Wouldn't the quest name be the easiest way? I'd really like to avoid custom tocs since they are a pain to maintain (as evidenced by our MapleStory/Monsters/Complete list). Also, how many different towns are there? Would there be a good way to group some together (Continent, proximity)? -- Prod (Talk) 23:44, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
(Your sig messed up. O_O) The best way to do it would be by continent. In KoreaMS, they have a special section of the Quest Log for all world tour quests. But generally when one is working on them, it's as they are released, and this is normally done one continent at a time. Seeing that, I'd like to keep it in its current state as general "World Tour" like KMS by level, but it would also be helpful to sort it by continent. The benefit of this is, contrary to the monster list, quest additions are rare, so it would be a lot easier to keep up to date.--IsaacGS 00:25, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

I think it's a good idea. Could have the first section Zipangu, then list all the zipangu quests from lowest to highest level. Then the next section would be China, and list all china quests from lowest to highest level, ect. I'll write it up real quick, feel free to edit/revert if necessary. -- Takiten 02:15, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

Perhaps we could change them into table form, though I'm not sure how much horizontal space that could take. I'll look into it tonight -- Prod (Talk) 09:28, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

Hmm. The way I set it up, It's hard to check up on edits now. If someone edits the level 55 "section" of Singapore for example, I click on the history and click on the little arrow of the persons edit to go to that section of the edit, it sends me to the first level 55 section of the page, which is zipangu's level 55 quests. Unless you guys can think of something better, the only thing that would fix this would be to lable every section by the continent first. The ToC would look like:

1. Zipangu Level 20

1.1 Kino Konoko's Concern (KoreaMS and GlobalMS only)

2. Zipangu Level 25

2.1 Kino Konoko vs the Fire Raccoons (KoreaMS and GlobalMS only)
2.2 Read The Newspaper!

...ect.

7. Zipangu Level 85

7.1 Eliminating Blue Mushmom (KoreaMS and GlobalMS only)

8. China Level 10

8.1 Trading With Owner Yeo 1

Or we could just do it this way:

1. China Level 10

...(list quests)

2. Singapore Level 15

...(list quests)

3. Zipangu Level 20

...(list quests)

4. Zipangu Level 25

...(list quests)

5. Singapore Level 25

...(list quests)

And go by lowest level quests to highest level quests and just mix all the continents. -- Takiten 00:33, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

Coming Soon?[edit]

I remember we tried this back when we had the town availability chart on wikipedia, and people didn't like the idea of the "coming soon" notion. I think it's ok to list something as "coming soon" if the main website for that version specifically says that peice of content is coming soon. But listing for example KFT for ThailandMS as comming soon is wrong because there isn't anything anywhere on the ThailandMS website saying it really is coming soon. And listing Dragon Forest/Canyon and Cave of Life as coming soon for both ThailandMS and MapleSEA doesn't hold any proof either. AFAIK JapanMS doesn't say anything about Amoria or Magatia as coming soon on their website. Theoretically, everything is coming soon for every version, but we don't have the references to prove it. I think it's just best to leave "No" on stuff that we know for sure is not released yet, and have not been stated by Asiasoft/Nexon/Ect that it is coming soon. Otherwise we could have added Henesys PQ and Ludibrium Maze PQ as coming soon for GlobalMS, when we have no idea if that is true or not. -- Takiten 01:49, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

Its sure that TMS, MSEA is releasing Amoria and JMS has files from Jan07. For Leafre, MSEA and TMS released Leafre recently right, that proves that The Dragon Forest/ Canyon, Cave of Live should be releasing. You dun need any prove in the website. Like MSEA and JMS the GMs did not say anything new coming nor post the new things coming up 2-3 weeks before.--Fideltan 02:02, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
I think we should avoid "Coming Soon" unless we are certain it is coming out in the next version (patch notes or website announcements). Just because the files are available in the data doesn't mean that the areas are going to be released. -- Prod (Talk) 09:26, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
I remember when GlobalMS first got Helios Tower. Someone marked KFT for GlobalMS as "Coming Soon". Then we decided against it and changed it back to "No". It ended up being seven months before GlobalMS actually got KFT, so it turned out to be a bad idea to mark it as "Coming Soon". -- Takiten 09:56, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
Perfect example. I really hate the idea of "Coming Soon". Flat out Yes/No is good enough. I want to remove it and it seems like the majority agrees with this. The tentative ThaiMS release schedule is Leafre today, KFT next month, and the Leafre Dungeon area later. So marking "coming soon" for Leafre dungeon is a similar example. If we have a solid date of release, that's one thing. --IsaacGS 17:16, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
TaiwanMS, MapleSEA and ThailandMS said they will release Amoria and Leafre soon so it should be Coming Soon. But I hate it, it looks ugly o.0 -- Hurricane 01:34, 12 September 2007 (CDT)
ThailandMS already has Amoria and as of today they already have Leafre. No more "coming soon" there.--IsaacGS 01:37, 12 September 2007 (CDT)

Grandma Tree[edit]

Do anyone have the standing image of Grandma Tree? The one posted looks like the Knock-Backed image instead. http://strategywiki.org/wiki/MapleStory/Monsters/Level_61-70#Grandma_Tree—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Antikel (talkcontribs) .

The best I could do was the KB frame, all of the other ones had watermarks over them. If someone has a clean standing animation, upload it, but until then KB will have to do... Same goes for the Yellow Stomp Rabbit.--IsaacGS 17:18, 11 September 2007 (CDT)

GlobalMS 0.42 :)[edit]

http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1317130 What do you think we're getting? HenesysPQ? I hope we'll get a new town/expansion and HenesysPQ. -- Hurricane 01:42, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

Yay ^^ finally we will get HPQ but im lvl 69 ><--Ofir38 03:59, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
The bunny suit is a Cash Shop item, so it does not mean that we will get the Henesys PQ... What's the big deal? :P It would be better, if Nexon will open the Herb Town PQ at last. -- Vigilium 09:13, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
The Bunny suit there is identical to the Henesys PQ's NPCs and even has a full moon effect when complete. The last few patches, they have given subtle hints to the patch's contents with cash shop items. Squirrel Tail in .40 foretold of Mu Lung in .41. the "Past present and future" ad was a hint at New Leaf City. I believe that is our hint for this patch. Besides, Henesys PQ data is completely in GMS as of now, it could theoretically be activated with a server check. I hope for Leafre though.--IsaacGS 09:19, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

i hope they will add leafre and maybe upgraded world maps! :D .--Moshik1212 Yea your right IsaacGS...they can open it with a Server check...(and i hope they will do patch ^^)--Ofir38 08:32, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

it's europe MS event and if someone have good grammer then me so edit my post there. thank you ^^--Ofir38 09:18, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

I fixed it up a little. I'd like to avoid putting things on here before we know a whole lot about them, though. Putting one sentence and then "More info soon" looks really unprofessional to me. Still, this is ok, there's a decent amount of info for the moment.--IsaacGS 11:41, 14 September 2007 (CDT)
I don't think that Beer Tent is a town. You go there to kill drunk monsters and if you kill all of them, you get a reward. After that, if you want to enter again, you have to wait one hour. Most probably it will be a room or a couple of rooms. Maybe kind of PQ (like French Revolution Day was) but not a town. -- Vigilium 11:59, 14 September 2007 (CDT)
The way the description on the site sounds, it seems to me that it is an event town like Happyville/Shalom Temple. If it doesn't turn out this way I suppose we can always delete the page later.--IsaacGS 12:04, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

XDD it's so fuuny...drunk monsters 0_0--Ofir38 00:22, 15 September 2007 (CDT)

The Beer Tent is a Hidden Street (a single map) for event quest reason only. It is not a location like a town. [5] -- Vigilium 15:59, 18 September 2007 (CDT)
Same goes for Shalom Temple, and yet it has its own town page.--IsaacGS 17:06, 18 September 2007 (CDT)

KoreaMS Tespia 1.2.101[edit]

It seem that they just patch and reformat Maple Island, new cash shop items, so UI cahnges, and added 2 new bosses. -- ~MΛRXΘΓ~ =] Want to?/Wi-Fi Gaming 20:41, 14 September 2007 (CDT)

Since the KMST site is now closed to the public, we'll have to wait for wkkim9292 to give us the details.--IsaacGS 20:53, 14 September 2007 (CDT)
KMS is getting 2 bosses. One (Fox Boss) is in Korean Folk Town and the other one (Cat Boss) is in Mu Lung. KMS is also getting Maple Island Training Camp. - Wkkim9292 21:33, 14 September 2007 (CDT)
Seriously? On Soya, they still have pictures of the ordinary Maple Town maps. Come post on Sleepywood what you can, I've started a thread on this.--IsaacGS 21:50, 14 September 2007 (CDT)
I was wrong about Maple Island Training Camp. The patch was saying the tutorial for Maple Island has been updated and I thought that it meant KMS is getting Maple Island Training Camp. - Wkkim9292 17:26, 15 September 2007 (CDT)
KMST is getting Amherst Expansion not MTTC. --Fideltan 07:30, 17 September 2007 (CDT)

KMS expansions.[edit]

This is starting to become a big deal, because while KMS is usually adding one map at a time to existing towns, the total number of expansion maps are starting to pile up. There was 1 map added to El Nath last patch, and 2 added this time. There were 3 areas added to Korean Folk Town and 1 to Maple Island's Southperry, in this patch. Mu Lung got 1 new map last time and 1 new map this time, and both of those contain a boss. Magatia got 1 map last time and 1 map this time as well. So it's easy to see that the expansions are getting to be considerable. How should these be added to the chart? Also, will we need new world maps to match up with these expansions? I don't know if they show up on the world maps or not. --IsaacGS 00:44, 15 September 2007 (CDT)

Official Names[edit]

I found the real names of Leafre Monsters. It is Haf not Harp. It is Beatle not Beetle. --Fideltan 07:37, 17 September 2007 (CDT)

No, in GMS they are "Harp" and "Beetle". "Beatle" is a band from the 1960's.--IsaacGS 10:31, 17 September 2007 (CDT)
If you talk to Chief Tatamo in Leafre, he will ask u to donate. And there's a thing call Blood Haf's Crown. This proves that it is Haf. --Fideltan 02:24, 22 September 2007 (CDT)
And the ETC items for Dreamy Ghosts still say "Monglong", the one for Black Crow says "Red Nose", and so on. Point is, the game data is what's important, not what some NPC says. Game data says Harp and Beetle, so that is what they are.--IsaacGS 16:24, 22 September 2007 (CDT)
