Merging[edit]

Just a heads up: All the monsters are going to get merged into here until it can be figured out how this will need to be subpaged. It probably depends on how much space the whole thing takes up. This however will be a great opportunity to make sure all the formatting matches on the monster description layouts. --Zaiqukaj 07:12, 14 April 2008 (CDT)

History note[edit]

Here is where contributors from the merged pages are going to be listed. I'm not going to include bots and people I think were doing cleanup like tasks. Hopefully this is an acceptable manner for keeping a record of contributors for pages that have been merged and deleted. --Zaiqukaj 08:09, 14 April 2008 (CDT)

Subpaging question[edit]

Ok with the average amount of space each monster entry takes up and how many there are total (100ish) about 20-25 monsters per page seems like a good amount of scrolling (not too much not too little).

Is it weird to have the subpages be odd number ranges? Or should they be even chunks by level (that would be a weird amount of monsters on each page)? I’m kind of stumped, but it’s still a good time to be indecisive since it’s easier to tweak the layout of all of them when they are all on the same page. I bet the layout will look much better with images to the far right. The page is huge so subpaging will happen on either Saturday or Sunday. --Zaiqukaj 06:25, 2 May 2008 (CDT)

I think the tactic we use for MapleStory has worked best - I replicated it for GoonZu Online as well. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:02, 2 May 2008 (CDT)
That is most likely how it will go. The only thing that worries me is the monsters that we don't have levels for and the fact that a lot of them are ranges of levels. --Zaiqukaj 07:17, 2 May 2008 (CDT)
In your sandbox, or wherever (maybe under this post), make an index of every monster and their level/level range. After that we can figure out how we want to categorize them. Btw, we might have to actually refer to an outside source on this one xD --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:23, 2 May 2008 (CDT)
