There are a couple of characters on here that have not been confirmed, as far as I know, including Bowser Jr., Ridley, and Cel-Shaded Link. Won't it be better to not include those characters until confirmed? The last thing we want is our reputation spoiled by posting incorrect information based off of rumors.--DukeRuckley 10:46, 28 May 2007 (CDT)

There's a digg about it but i'm not sure about the accuracy http://digg.com/gaming_news/Smash_Bros_Brawl_character_confirmations_and_desires , I also found this butI haven't tried it http://boards.ign.com/super_smash_bros_/b5213/137955805/p2/ --Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 10:56, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
UPDATE: Apparently the 1UP.com source was just an old rumor. For now, don’t take anything involving these characters as confirmations in either direction, in or out. However, the Ogawa comment regarding Sonic still stands.
That's according to the site through the digg article...--DukeRuckley 10:58, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
I'm going to upload a few more screenshots here.--Rocky Rally-X Rock.png (Talk - Contributions) 11:21, 28 May 2007 (CDT)

Sources[edit]

I was wondering whether there are sources for some of the information on this page. For example:
"Yoshi now has a look that matches his traditional look rather than his look in Super Smash Bros. Melee."
"Pit was originally going to be in the first SSB but was replaced with Jigglypuff because she was thought to be more profitable. ... (He) can jump multiple times. ... He is now replacing the Ice-Climbers for the NES fans."

The vast majority of the information comes from the official website, although some of it is still speculation (as noted on the guide's main page). --Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 17:14, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

I already checked that site. None of this information is from there. Unless someone has a source, I personally think it should be deleted. Spruce 17:28, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

Spruce, track down the contributor, and ask them on their talk page. For one, you haven't even told what page those quotes come from. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:37, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

The quotes are from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Characters article, under the headings for Pit and Yoshi.
Thank you for the suggestion. I think I'll do that. Spruce 20:35, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

New Characters[edit]

according to here, there is a good chance of someone from these games being in it:

  • Chrono Trigger
  • Streets of Rage
  • Pikmin
  • Metroid series
  • Monster Hunter
  • Devil May Cry
  • ActRaiser
  • and many more

Actually it doesn't say that there is a chance they will be have characters from those games, although you could take it that way... More likely they are just helping compose the music. It's not unheard of for a composer to write the music for one series to move on and do others as well. Here's for hoping though! Oh and Metroid already has someone :)--DukeRuckley 12:24, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Simplification of characters page[edit]

We don't want things to end up like SSBM's character page - keep things brief, but most importantly link to the personal character page where fully detailed information can reside. I suggest we do this by making the name in each header link to the appropriate character page, as well as add {{Info}} underneath each header (with code such as {{Info|M|character's name|[[Specific Character Page]]}}. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:18, 21 February 2008 (CST)

A thought on this page.[edit]

I assume you won't like my idea but comparing notes can be a pain in the neck. It would be easier if they just put out a table. What could be better? Scrolling down the page or looking at a table or both? Just try out my suggestion and if it doesn't work, you better think of something else. Johnnyauau2000 13:51, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
