Featured Guide[edit]

Just looking for a bit of feedback to get this polished up to put forward to "Featured Guide" status;

  • make good use of images at least two per page, - the guides only need one... and only really have one as the puzzle is contained on each page.
  • Contain no red links, - theres two links on the main page, but they link to guides that aren't created and aren't relative to this guide.

Is there anyway to get the pictures to resize automatically, at the minute the picture stays the same but are scrollable, it would be better (imo) if the picture was always the width of the guide text. - Trevman 18:14, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry about "two images per page", as we're not trying to force people to add redundant images to hit an arbitrary number. That particular criterion may have come about due to most featured nominees having a lot more content on their guide pages than this one does. Also, don't worry about the red links – that refers to links pointing within the guide, meaning a part of the guide is missing. There's no way to dynamically resize the image that I know of without using JavaScript to get the user's window size. A lot of elements like tables and divs resize automatically with the page, but images don't seem to do so.
Alternatives to the scrolling map are thumbnail images and picking some arbitrary size that would work for most screen resolutions. Thumbnails are what we usually use on the wiki, but if we went to thumbnails you could probably fit the entire walkthrough on one page, since most pages just consist of a couple sentences and an image. — najzereT 18:35, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
