This page is totally unnecessary. Thoughts? - najzere 08:11, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Why is it unnecessary? Just wondering.--Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 16:07, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

All the characters that you interact with are referenced in the walkthrough already, and there is nothing you can say about a character that will help you in playing/beating the game. Also I wrote that after spending an hour or so updating the page with all the dogs from all the villages, and then forgetting to save my changes. There are just a ton of dogs, and you never have to speak with most of them.
The only featured guide with a Characters page that doesn't include pertinent information (i.e. stats, moves, etc.) is Castlevania. And that page only has seven characters on it, as opposed to The Dog Island having potentially 50+. Right now the characters on our page only have one or two sentences; there's not exactly an abundance of information on them.
I guess I just feel that the information on a characters page would be redundant, due to being referenced in the walkthrough and the Diary Entry page I'll be making, and it uninformative, as there is no real distinction between any character except for name, breed and plot elements. If we keep the characters page, I think we should only have bios on the characters that are central to the story, such as Dr. Potan, Jeremy, Wilbur, Petasi, Tao, etc. Just the dogs that MUST be interacted with. - najzere 17:46, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

OK, I'm sticking with the main characters, the only this is I can't figure out what type of dog Isaki and Sayori are. Also I can't remember how to spell Ohlala's circus title.Melon247, The Dog's Life Expert 09:01, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Jeremy[edit]

I just cannot work out what kind of dog he is! On first impression he looks like a Scottish Terrier, but if you look at Sayir (when you get round to that part) or hope, you see that they have sort of beards and Jeremy doesn't seem to have them. But he has the righg kinds of ears and now I'm just going mad! --Melon247 15:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

He's not a lab? - najzere 16:01, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Since when have you heard of Labradors with pointy ears? The only think I can think of that he might be is a French Bulldog. --Melon247 16:47, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't know much about dog breeds (obviously). My dogs are mixes of lab, chow, german shepherd, and rhodesian ridgeback but I have a hard time telling what's what in cartoon or video game dogs. I think you're on your own on that one, sorry! - najzere 17:04, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
I finally found out that he is a black Great Dane. Another thing I found is that there seem to be two Lukes in this game. --Melon247 19:24, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Can you elaborate on the multiple Lukes? Where are they? - najzere 19:34, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
There's the Basset Hound in the Cafe in Pupsville and a French Bulldog who runs the item shop (or accessory shop, can't remember which) in Chiro Village. --Melon247 10:12, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey, does anyone know what kind of dog wilbur is {the one always by the cow in pupsville?} I thought he was a Jack russel. ==

New Character[edit]

I was playing the game earlier and discovered a new character, but I can't remember his name. I think it was Rastaroff or Rastariff or something like that. He was in the Chiro Caves before I'd been to see Alice by the gate you need the key to open. Not sure what breed he was either :P --Melon247 Hammy, my hamster. Cute!
