Subpage[edit]

I think it might be too little information to split into each location, but what about into the current three headings? So pages for Towns&Villages, Outside areas and Misc. places? - najzere 05:56, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure, because if you think about it people don't really look at guides just to see about stuff like places, they look to see how to play or where they can catch bugs and stuff. --Melon247 17:37, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Does that mean you're against subpaging, or you think they should each get their own page? Or do you think we should get rid of Places all together? Not really sure what you mean by that. - najzere 03:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
I think maybe we should leave it as it is. --Melon247 10:19, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Is there a higher level map of the whole area somewhere? If subpaged by location alone, some would definitely be too short. Maybe arranged by which areas tend to be related in the storyline? -- Prod (Talk) 04:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
There is an overmap, but only of The Dog Island, which excludes Puroro Town, El Dorado's Ship and Anc Road. The different locations aren't really storyline related since the game is opened ended, but you open new areas as you go along. Besides how we have it right now (towns, outside, misc.) the only other logical way I can see to split it up is by region. However, there are at least five regions, and a couple of them will have way more info than the rest. There is also the problem of it not being very clear cut which place belongs where and how the miscellaneous places fit in. So I think that would just be confusing. I'd like to split the pages up into two sections: places where there are enemies and places where there aren't. This is kind of how "towns and villages" and "outside areas" split things up, but it would also be able to incorporate all the miscellaneous places. I'd like to call the enemy places "Wild areas" but I can't think of a good name for the other places that works with the misc. ones too. - najzere 08:46, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
How about "safe areas"? --Melon247 10:51, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
That's pretty good in contrast to "wild" areas, although I was trying to think of something like "civilized" but without the connotation of it being very advanced. "Tended" was as close as I could come, which incorporates the idea that there are people there and that it was made by people. So Wild ares and then let's pick between Safe areas, Secure areas or Tended areas unless someone can come up with a better name for towns and villages that also includes a ship. - najzere 16:44, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
