follow the top link... If someone can figure out what I did and fix it, I made a basic info page that needs to be linked to from somewhere

update, I've un-screwed-it-up, but it's still a bit of a mess because 2 different guides seems to have been started so they could use being merged

I've moved everything previously in Total_Annihilation:Introduction to Total Annihilation to this page and added a redirect. It was only and index in any case. Fugg 09:21, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Units and structures[edit]

Are we going to list structures at all?

Also, what about Core Contingincy units and structures?

Gah, Piece of @#$%[edit]

This article is in shambles. I'm going to rewrite this damn thing from stem to stern. The only thing I can't do are the campaign missions 'cause I never played them. At least I know where to go for unit data - and I'm only going to do units provided via disk - No one include third party units.

If you want to help, you can by first of all converting the stupid system requirements page into the sysreq template thingy.

Man, your guys expectations for a Level 3 Guide are damn low >.> --Arrow Windwhistler 10:28, 9 January 2008 (CST)

I'll convert the system requirements page. It's listed as a level 3 guide because it's mostly complete, even if what's there is of lacking quality. Levels 0-3 are based more about quantity, rather than quality, while levels 4 and 5 require quality in the guide. :-) I believe this guide doesn't follow some of the normal conventions because it was imported from Wikibooks, so I'd be very grateful if you went through it and gave it some love. --DrBob (talk) 13:28, 9 January 2008 (CST)
I'll do what I can, but ultimately you're gonna want to get a "professional" in on the subject. I'll see what I can dig up, especially from the [ TA unit guide]. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 10:42, 14 January 2008 (CST)

In other news, I just hired a specialist on the subject. Twilight is a TA modder and I showed him the crappiness that is the TA guide. He hasn't made any promises, but he seems quite willing to help out. Worst case scenario, I'll pester him about it =P --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 22:58, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

Content and Structure[edit]

I'm thinking of rearranging a few things (keeping most of the same content, and eventually adding to it and cleaning up what's there). I thought I'd post my thoughts here to get some feedback if anyone wants to give it:

  • Split up the Units and Structures pages for OTA similar to the CC pages (which also still need work), especially since there
  • Remove Getting Started and Controls from the expansions, since the content is pretty much the same (if we absolutely have to have Getting Started, I may eventually write one up for CC, but the differences between that and the BT page will be minimal)
  • Obviously there are still plenty of things to flesh out, the maps page will probably be split out if I can get around to working on putting some content there. My main concentration recently has been the walkthrough, which actually looks like something I can finish this month if I keep on it.

Getting Started isn't required. Looks like you cut off a few words of your first point. For expansions, the Getting Started heading can be changed to New Features. -- Prod (Talk) 03:57, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Oops, I think I was going to back that up to the closed paren. I was going to say that there are more units and structures in the original game than in The Core Contingency, but when I thought about it, I wasn't so sure that's the case (though it would be close). New Features sounds like a good idea, though it'll be pretty limited to a summary of changes, since anything that isn't a new unit, structure, or map (and in some cases those as well) was back-ported to the game at or shortly after release of the expansion.--~Vizeroth~-- 04:20, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, I guess I didn't get that done as soon as I wanted to, but the Walkthrough is at a good stopping point for now (basically complete, would just be nice to flesh it out and add some more images). Now it looks like just the Maps, Units, and Structures need the bulk of their content. We could probably remove the Patching page (Getting Started has the same info), and I haven't really spent much time looking at the strategy pages to see what can be done with them. --~Vizeroth · (c)~-- 17:29, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
