Organisation[edit]

I've cleaned up here and there, particularly the human entry, as well as throwing up a few stubs for the cities. About these cities; I've moved them to World of Warcraft/Cities/ instead of World of Warcraft/Towns/ for obvious reasons.

If they aren't obvious, well, these areas have their own maps, which towns do not. These areas also provide rested bonus throughout, not just at their respective Inns. Finally, these areas have Auction Houses and Battlemasters, which (except for some few instances of the latter), towns also do not.

Suffice it to say I believe cities deserve their own section apart from towns.

Finally, I would like to propose a move away from plural naming schemes, as they can be cumbersome. For an example of this, see the 'Races/Humans' or 'Instances/...' Well, "Dwarves" and "Furbolgs" and "Trolls", all of these end in 's', but have nothing to do with what they are. Of course they're plural, let's save a bit of typing and disc space!

I won't press that, but I'd like to know if anybody doesn't like that idea, or if they do.

It's a policy to have plural naming schemes for parent pages where there will be more than one sub-page, so in this case "Faction" should actually be "Factions". I'll sort it out. --DrBob (Talk) 04:22, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

Redirect Categories[edit]

Regarding this edit, I hadn't noticed that all of these Categories use their redirect counterparts instead of the actual destinations. Why is this? I don't see how referring to the redirected names accomplishes anything useful, i.e. future-proofing. By contrast, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's infobox refers to the proper Category names. --inarius(T) 11:07, 24 October 2006 (CDT)

My main reasoning is that it's easier, and less prone to errors, especially if newbies try copying other pages. -- Prod (Talk) 11:47, 24 October 2006 (CDT)
Ok, that's a good enough reason for me. Generally, I don't like including redirects on pages because I think it's more confusing. Links don't lead where you expect them to lead. However these article names are identical to the Category names, so I'm sure most newbs won't even notice. --inarius(T) 17:41, 24 October 2006 (CDT)
