All of the Tetriminos in Tetris Party.

The falling shapes of Tetris Party are called Tetriminos. Each Tetrimino has a unique color and is made up of blocks called Minos. The majority of game modes feature the seven geometric tetromino shapes, each consisting of four Minos. Tetriminos with three or less Minos do appear in some modes:

Every Tetrimino shape is listed below with a diagram showing its possible orientations. Most have four orientations; some have less. Moving right on a diagram (e.g., from position 2 to 3) represents a clockwise rotation of the Tetrimino and moving left represents a counterclockwise rotation, wrapping around to the first or last position as necessary.

Position 1 is the orientation of a Tetrimino when it spawns in the Matrix. Tetriminos spawn centered and just above the topmost visible row of the Matrix.

Tetrominoes[edit]

A tetromino consists of four Minos.

I[edit]

The I Tetrimino is the only Tetrimino that can clear four lines at once.

J[edit]

The J Tetrimino is a mirror image of the L Tetrimino and can clear up to three lines at once.

L[edit]

The L Tetrimino is a mirror image of the J Tetrimino and can clear up to three lines at once.

O[edit]

The O Tetrimino is simply a square with only one unique rotation. It can clear up to two lines at once.

S[edit]

S Tetrimino rotations.

The S Tetrimino is a mirror image of the Z Tetrimino and can easily clear a Single or Double. With a clever stack setup and usage of wall kicks, it is possible to clear a Triple.

T[edit]

The T Tetrimino can perform T-Spins and can clear a Single or Double. Wall kicks do allow for a Triple, but this is not recognized as a T-Spin Triple.

Z[edit]

Z Tetrimino rotations.

The Z Tetrimino is a mirror image of the S Tetrimino. As with the S Tetrimino, Singles and Doubles are done easily, but Triples require more work to set up.

Trominoes[edit]

A tromino consists of three Minos.

I[edit]

The I tromino can clear up to three lines at once.

L[edit]

The L tromino can clear one or two lines.

Domino[edit]

The domino Tetrimino is made up of two Minos and can clear one or two lines.

Mino[edit]

The single Mino can clear a line, but it is much more useful for filling in holes in Shadow puzzles.
