The game is played with the . You can interact with the scenes using . To show what actions can be carried out, different cursor images are used depending on the in-game context.
The default cursor shows you where you can and cannot go within a scene. The finger will move left to right if you are unable to interact within a scene. However, the finger will beckon backwards and forwards if you can proceed forward to that part of the scene, e.g. through a door. When placed at the side of the screen, the hand will beckon to the left or the right respectively to indicate you can turn to that side.
The cinematic cursor shows when an action scene is playing that you must watch before proceeding, or when the game is loading.
The scene action cursor shows when you can interact with a part of the scene which will play a small cinematic. These are always available throughout the game, unlike the "cinematic" cursor which happens once in a given area (usually after completing a puzzle).
The puzzle cursor shows when you can interact with a part of the scene to begin playing a puzzle.
The interaction cursor is only used when you are engaged with a puzzle. The icon shows which bits of the puzzle you are able to interact with, in order to solve the puzzle.
