An inactive Warp Gate

Dotted around Torla are eight warp gates, at the start of the game, these gates are inactive until a secret event is carried out.

Activating the Warp Gates[edit]

After getting the Long Boots from the Ancient Shrine, head towards the North-East corner of the Desert of Despair. From there, head down, passing the chest until you reach a three-tier cliff, the highest tier being square, jump up to the highest level. Begin to go North, staying on the high areas, opening the chest containing 30 gilder along the way, from there, go left, using the four pillars to stay high up, head North at the branch and hug the cliff wall. Continue going left until the extreme end of the area is reached, enter the cave with high pillars on either side of the entrance. Inside this room, jump up the wooden structure and open the chest, this contains the Sluice Key. The chest behind the flaming pillars contains a Life Vessel, but cannot be accessed without the Ice Wand.

The tiles used to invoke the five signs, click on the image to see the order in which the tiles should be pressed.

With the Sluice Key, jump down the cliff and head clockwise around the lake, entering the stone building at the bottom-left, use the Sluice Key to open the gate and read the sign which says that both switches have to be activated at the same time to open the Sluice Gate. In order to do this, use a Bomb on one switch and hit the other at the moment the Bomb detonates, this will drain the lake. Enter the now-drained lake and enter the breach in the wall and go through the passageway.

Inside this room is Berue, who will give Alundra five signs to invoke, this involves the tiles on the floor lighting up in a certain order while Alundra watches, and then the order happening again, while Alundra has to step on each tile as it is lit. The five signs are Harmony, Trust, Wisdom, Love and Courage, while the first couple can be done without memorization due to the gaps in between each flash, the later ones require memorization.

Once the final sign has been invoked, Berue activates the Warp Gates allowing Alundra to travel through each of them.

Using the Warp Gates[edit]

Once Berue has activated the Warp Gates, all eight of them can be entered. Entering one places Alundra into a hub through which he can exit via any other Warp Gate, however, a gate cannot be exited via the hub until it is entered via the overworld. Activating these will not affect anything inside the Warp Hub.

The Warp Hub which allows Alundra to exit through any other Warp Gate.

From the top-left gate and heading clockwise, here is where each gate leads:
