The ZX's keyboard is the only control you need to play this game; however, unlike in Creative Sparks's Danger Mouse in the Black Forest Chateau, you have to type in the commands for Fungo yourself, then press Enter to activate them. To make Fungo move in one of the available directions listed on the screen, type in the initial of the direction you wish him to go, then press Enter (if you try to make him move in a direction he cannot go, he will say Now LOOK boyo, I can't go that way, so try somewhere else), and to make him pick up one of the objects he says his "keen Bimble eyes" recognise on the screen, type in "TAKE (OBJECT NAME)" then press Enter, to which he will say OKEY DOKEY (he can carry a maximum of ten objects at a time, but if you try to make him pick up an eleventh one he'll state Gggggulp. I can't carry any more!) - however, he cannot take every object he sees. Fungo can also examine the objects he sees or is carrying, if you type in "EXAMINE (OBJECT NAME)", then press Enter (if he finds something in an object he sees, he'll say I SEE SOMETHING!); he can also drop objects he is carrying if you type in "DROP (OBJECT NAME)", then press Enter, but some (including the radio and book found in Bogeymoron's workshop, both of which will kill Fungo if he uses them, cannot be dropped, and if you try to make him do so he'll state Sorry, mate, it's this message again. But I DO understand one of those words, which he'll also say to you if you give him an invalid command). To make Fungo talk to one of the other characters he says his "keen Bimble eyes" recognise which include his Great Uncle Buggeria, the aforementioned Bogeymoron, and Madame Croquet, type in "TALK" and press Enter - and if you want to know how many moves you have made, type in "TURN" and press Enter (the text You made X moves!, X being your current number of moves, will appear under it). Although some objects shall kill Fungo if he uses them, it's advisable to take one of them in case you get stuck, so you can use it to abort your current attempt and start again.
