Alex[edit]
In the Theatrical Cut, Alex is this chapter's player character. In a conversation with Fliss, he can choose to back Brad up or show frustration with him, but Fliss will react the same either way. Alex can then act annoyed or disappointed with her, but again, the outcome is the same. These choices only serve to affect Alex's traits. Speak to Julia and make sure to back her up against Fliss in order to strengthen their relationship. If Alex examined Fliss' license on the counter across from her, he will bring this up in the conversation. Speak to Conrad to look at some photos of the wreck. Speak to Fliss and make the polite choice in order to improve their relationship slightly. Alex can attempt to bribe her or bring up her fake credentials if he found the license, but these will only hurt their relationship.
Take the stairs next to the monitor to go below deck. Right by the entryway is the first Picture, High and Dry. This will show a potential positive result, though it may be unclear what it means without any context. If Brad didn't drink, Alex can speak to Brad in this room. If Brad did drink, Alex can find him in a room to the side of the hall, where he can show some sympathy to improve their relationship. In the room at the end of the hall, Alex can open the closet to find Julia's perfume and a book that hints at a future installment in the series.
Head upstairs and approach Julia, who should have finished setting up the rebreather by now. Alex can then choose to be appreciative of Julia's help or playful, the latter of which Conrad will disapprove of. Pick up the bang stick and the camera, and the couple will dive underwater, leading into the next chapter.
Conrad[edit]
In the Curator's Cut, Conrad is this chapter's player character. Scroll through the photos of the wreck until Conrad and Julia find what they're looking for, after which Julia will call Alex over. Conrad can continue scrolling through the photos until Alex finishes his conversation with Fliss. When given a choice, choose to be supportive of Fliss in order to improve her relationship with Conrad. Speak to Fliss afterward and she will show appreciation for Conrad's support. Like Alex, if Conrad found Fliss' license before speaking to her, he can bring it up in conversation, though he should avoid doing so. Choosing to be empathetic and playful instead will result in an increase in their relationship. Conrad can also examine the dive cam again; simply scroll through a few photos and he will point out a hole in the plane.
Below deck, Conrad can also find the Picture by the entryway and improve his relationship with Brad by showing support for him, but there is one difference in his perspective versus Alex's; when Conrad finds Julia's perfume in the back room, he will move it to another spot, giving it a use in a later chapter. Head back upstairs and approach Julia for a scene. Conrad will bring up his dive cam findings to the couple before speaking to Fliss again. Choose to be cheery and optimistic in order to improve their relationship further. Julia and Alex will then dive underwater, continuing into the next chapter.
