The walkthrough for the Darkness is split up into chapters and arranged by the regions that are explored. Subway stations and pacifist areas (such as the subways) are included in the major region sections as they need to be explored.
Introduction: car chase[edit]
As the game begins, you'll wake up in the back seat of a car with two hit men. These are your co-workers, and they drive recklessly. You'll have to sit through a few minutes of them talking, giving you the setting for the game. You can move your view around with

Eventually the cops will start coming after you guys. Your friends hand you a shotgun, and you slowly reload it. The guy in the passenger seat eventually gets killed and you jump into the front seat, pushing him out of the car.
Firing back[edit]
When you gain control of the shotgun, first shoot out the front wind shield. You will not be able to attack behind you, you will not have to shoot at cop cars, and you don't need to. Your targets are several construction workers. Most of them will be shooting at you. If you kill them all, you'll get an achievement.
The workers:
- The first worker is on the right, standing between the two sides of the tunnel.
- A worker will jump on the hood of the car. Shoot him off.
- Two workers will be along the left side of the tunnel, shooting at you.
