Look across the cliffs ahead of you to see Calista and Zangurak. Head down the hill to the right. Ahead is a Gurak Beast, a powerful beast with terrible agility. Don't attack it head-on; instead, wait for it to charge, and get behind it, where you'll find its weak point. When the Beast is defeated, its rider will get off and attack - he shouldn't pose much of a problem, though. Run down the path, where you'll be surrounded by Gurak Guards. Defeat the three in front of you, then ignore the rest and continue down the path. A fireball launched by the Gurak will dislodge some rocks above you - use Seek Mode to find them and have a mage knock them. Finish off the Gurak around you, then continue following the path. Up ahead is another Gurak Beast - deal with it in the same way as the last one. Follow the path further to yet more Gurak. This group has a healer, surrounded by archers and Gurak Guards. Diffuse any healing magic with Gale, then dispose of the healer as quickly as possible, before even attempting to fight any others. Continue down the path.

Boss: Zangurak[edit]

When you enter the next area, you should see Zangurak's red aura in the distance. Follow the path towards him, making sure to avail of the save point along the way. You'll need to face Zangurak alone, since Dagran is preoccupied with the Gurak reinforcements. You can't even harm Zangurak; attack him, and he'll just block you and knock you back. Try to avoid his magic attacks to the best of your ability (they'll probably take off about 100 HP, no matter what you do; you just have to try and limit the damage). Don't get too close to his henchmen, Zepha and Zesha, who will just knock you over if you do. After a while, Calista will unleash her power, which creates a special barrier around you that allows you to penetrate Zangurak's armour, and reflects his magic attacks. Begin attacking Zangurak until the barrier wears off, when Zangurak will flee, leaving Calista behind. Unfortunately, the castle, unaware of your location, has decided to fire the Lazulis Cannon, one of the most powerful weapons in their arsenal, leaving you with no option but to stow away on a Gurak warship, or be killed.
