First go to the item and weapon shop to buy some equipment and items. The weapon store sells:

Weapon Store Items

• Bastard Sword (60 G), you should already have found in this in Limestone Caves
• Sparkle Arrow (50 G), don't bother buying this since Shana is useless with her physical attacks. There's a free Sparkle Arrow in the first floor of Indels Castle.
• Scale Armor (50 G), buy the Scale Armor if you don't have it already and equip it on Dart and Lavitz
• Leather Jacket (50 G), you should already have a Leather Jacket from Hellena Castle
• Sallet (40 G), buy and equip the Sallet to Dart and Lavitz
• Poison Guard (200 G) You should already own one, don't bother buying more since they're expensive and you won't need it
• Panic Guard (300 G) Even more expensive than the Poison Guard, no need to buy since not a single monster can cause Confusion yet
• Stun Guard (200 G) Don't buy this since no monster will cause Stun in the near future
• Bravery Amulet (300 G) Too expensive, again don't bother buying this since no monster can cause Fear yet
• Knight Shield (200 G) You have to buy this since it greatly increases Dart's and Lavitz's physical defense

Item Shop Items

• Healing Potion (10 G) Always have about five of these
• Angel's Prayer (30 G) You just buy one of these just in cause
• Mind Purifier (20 G) No need to buy this
• Body Purifier (10 G) No need to buy this
• Spear Frost (10 G) Buy about 5 of these (effective against near boss fight)
• Meteor Fall (20 G) Buy about 3 of these (effective against other near boss fight)
• Charm Potion (4 G) Don't bother buying these

Main Quest

Go to number 7 (look at the picture above) And then to the northern number 11. Here is the castle where King Albert resides at. Go up the long steps and keep going forward. Go into the center of the U-shaped form and go north. After some cutscenes and dialog follow Shana. After some more dialog head out of the castle and run to number 6 . Enter the saloon-like doors to the northwest. After some dialog you'll get the option to answer if Shana is Lavitz's girlfriend, choose whichever you like, since it has no consequences.

When the dialog is over talk to Lavitz and choose the last answer to proceed, asking the other questions has no effect except for some dialog. Follow Lavitz up the ladder and go back down after the dialog. After you have slept it's time to leave the city. Go past number 4 and you'll bump into Martel. She's the woman that will buy your stardusts, for every 10 stardusts you give her she'll give an item. After the dialog she'll go to number 11. Follow her if you want to sell your stardusts, she's in the upper-west house. When your ready leave the city and head to the city of Hoax.

Chests and secrets

Bale is a town full of chests and other secrets. There are also six stardusts scattered around this big town.

Clearing the blockades

There are a few doors blocking the path to some chests so get those out of the way first. To open the doors you need to turn two wheels. To find the first one go to the Castle and head into the entrance next to the stairs. On this floor there's a blacksmith with a big fireplace. In this room there's a ladder, climb down. Turn the wheel and go back up. Go to the blacksmith and head down the ladder until you reach the basement and turn the wheel here. Then exit the castle and go to the bar to buy Good Spirits from the bartender with 100 G. Go to number 5 (on the screenshot) and give it to the drunk blocking your way. Now you should have access to all areas!

List of Stardusts

1. Go to number 6 and check the well
2. Go to the weapon shop (number 9) and check the spears at the bottom of the screen
3. Go to the blacksmith on the lowest floor in the castle and check the fireplace
4. Go to the third floor of the castle and check the mirror in the small space to the left
5. You must first clear the blockades (see above section) before trying to get this one. Go to number 5 and go to the corridor and board the boat. After a few screens you'll get the option to get off the boat, do so and enter the house. Check the northern wall of this room to find the stardust.
6. Go to the house of Lavitz's mother and search the room where Lavitz's mother and Shana cooked your dinner to find the stardust.
