Once all three Ghostbusters (and Slimer, in the case of the one who'd beamed up any of the Green Ghost ghosts) have reappeared on the screen, six Type 7 enemies will appear, three on either side of the screen, and start hovering towards you while shooting flames at you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, they will leave six ghosts behind. Once you have beamed them all up, you will have to walk to the left as you come to three Type 9 enemies who are firing shots in eight directions at you - and once you've fired off enough shots at each of them, to make them recede back into their tree stumps and kill them, they shall leave three more ghosts behind. Once you have beamed them all up you will have to walk up over one of ten angry-looking spikes (while they've receded into the ground) as ten Type 19 enemies emerge from three holes in the ground and start jumping towards you; once you've fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, they will leave ten more ghosts behind. Once you have beamed them all up, you will have to continue walking up over thirteen more angry-looking spikes (again, while they've receded into the ground) as you come to a fourth Type 9 enemy who is firing shots in eight directions at you - and once you have fired enough shots at him to make him recede back into his tree stump and kill him, he will leave a twentieth ghost behind. Once you've beamed him up, you shall have to continue walking up as three Type 2 enemies emerge from three more holes in the ground, then start walking towards you while spitting projectiles at you; once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you'll have to continue walking up (while six indestructible Type 12 enemies have receded into the ground!), as four Type 17 enemies fly down towards you from the top of the screen. Once you have fired enough shots at each of them to kill them (remember they shall change colour from red to peach when close to defeat), they will leave four more ghosts behind - and once you've beamed them all up, you will have to continue walking up over thirteen more angry-looking spikes (once again, while they have receded into the ground), as you come to five Type 6 enemies who are walking back and forth while firing lightning bolts in eight directions at you. Once you have fired enough shots at each of them to kill them they shall leave five more ghosts behind; once you have beamed them all up, you shall have to continue walking up as two more Type 17 enemies come flying down towards you from the top of the screen. Once you have fired enough shots at both of these to kill them they shall leave two more ghosts behind - and once you have beamed both of them up you will have to fire a shot at a gate to destroy it (but not while your Ghostbuster is directly in front of it, as his shots will merely pass over it).

You now have to continue walking up as six more Type 7 enemies come hovering down towards you from the top of the screen while shooting flames at you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, they will leave six more ghosts behind. Once you have beamed them all up, you will have to continue walking up, as a seventh Type 17 enemy comes flying down towards you from the top of the screen - and once you have fired enough shots at him to kill him, he'll leave a thirty-eighth ghost behind. Once you've beamed him up, you'll have to continue walking up, over thirteen more angry-looking spikes (yet again, while they've receded into the ground) as you come to four more Type 6 enemies who are walking back and forth while firing lightning bolts in eight directions at you and the game's "boss" theme begins to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2203 and YM-3812 for the eighth time - and once you fire enough shots at each of them to kill them (these ones will not leave ghosts behind!), you will have to walk to the right as you come to four more Type 6 enemies who are walking back and forth while firing lightning bolts in eight directions at you. Once you have fired enough shots at each of them to kill them a key will appear in front of the double doors; however, before you collect it, you will have to walk back to the left and down, then fire a shot at a garbage can to destroy it as it will leave a Beam Energy Up powerup behind. Once you have collected it (and the key), the double doors will open up - and once all three Ghostbusters have walked through the double doors the text "STAGE CLEARED!!" will appear on the screen for an eighth time. The "Ghost Storage" theme shall then start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2203 & YM-3812 for an eighth time as all three of the Ghostbusters walk up to it and deposit their beamed-up ghosts into it; once they have done so, they shall proceed to the ninth stage, which is exclusive to the US version.

Note: In the original Japanese version, Meikyuu Hunter G, the game will start over again at this point, and continue until you either run out of lives or the arcade operator turns the cabinet off; the closest you can get to winning in this version is making the score display roll over by scoring 9,999,950 points.
