In this level, your overall goal is to move out of your mom's house. In order to do this, you must complete a few very simple goals.

Goals[edit]

  1. Borrow at least $800 from your mom: You start with $200 but this depletes every time your mom has something to eat (which is a lot). You can accomplish this by either getting your mom in a good mood or selling things in the house to make the money. To get your mom in a good mood, switch to her, fulfill all of her needs, switch back to your Sim, and keep asking her for money. She will give you $100 each time you ask assuming she is in a good mood. While it is easier to sell items to make the money, you will need to either buy them back before you get a job and move out or pay your mom back.
  2. Cook dinner without starting a fire: Cook dinner for yourself only, as it is less expensive. Before you start cooking, get at least one cooking point by reading a cookbook from the bookshelf. Doing this will unlock the Aromaster Whifferpuff Gold, which you will find very useful in later levels.
  3. Repair mom's TV: This goal doesn't appear until mom's TV breaks shortly after the start of the house. Before you start repairing the TV, get at least one mechanical point by studying from the books on the shelf. It might be helpful to get more than one mechanical point because you will need them for job promotions later.
  4. Get a job and move out: You can only complete this step once you have completed all of the others. This one is simple: go out to the street and get the newspaper on the sidewalk and select "find a job" from the action menu. It is not recommended to choose the "Slacker" career but all others are a viable option.

When you complete all of these goals, your mom will tell you that she put down a deposit on a rental property for you and you will move out.

Other things about this house[edit]

  • If this takes you more than one day, be sure to turn off the TV and radio before you go to sleep.
