Get Up! Alarm Clock[edit | edit source]

Get Up! Alarm Clock
Price§30
Room(s)Bedroom
Other info
  • Initial Depreciation: $4
  • Daily Depreciation: $3
  • Depreciation Limit: $12

The alarm clock is handy if you don't want your Sims oversleeping and missing work. By using the Set Alarm interaction, it'll ring every work or school day one hour before the carpool arrives. If your Sim doesn't have a job or doesn't go to school, the alarm won't go off. Be aware that when the alarm goes on, it'll wake up all sleeping Sims, not just the Sim who is due to go to work/school. Also, ringing alarm clocks cause the Environment score to plunge. To stop the alarm from ringing every day, use the Unset Alarm interaction. When the alarm goes off, Sims can turn it off. Those who were asleep when it goes off will wake up and autonomously turn it off. Turning off an alarm doesn't permanently disable it. Be aware that Lazy Sims can turn off the alarm but return to bed, and Sims who are either in a bad Mood (-25) or have Body skill 5 or higher can break it. Broken clocks need to be cleaned up.

The burglar alarm is designed to detect all burglars. If a burglar enters the same room as the alarm, it'll go off, automatically summoning the police. There's a chance that the burglar will panic and flee the lot before they are arrested. Also, it'll stop them stealing anything else. The best place to put the burglar alarm is by all entrances on the lot. Ideally, you'll want to stop the burglar before they get the chance to steal anything.
