The dartboard doesn't increase any skills, but the Mechanical skill plays a role in how well a Sim plays, particularly against other Sims. Sims can play alone or with others to increase Fun. Playing with other Sims also increases Social. Sims can cheat at darts. If they get caught cheating, it'll have a negative impact on the Sims' relationship.

Both chess tables are the same, but this table is designed to be placed outdoors, while the other is for indoors, although it doesn't actually matter where they're placed. To use the chess table, at least one dining chair must be placed either side of the table. Two chairs are needed for two players.

Using the chess table builds the Logic skill, as well as Fun, and if the Sim is playing against another Sim, they also satisfy Social. Sims can also watch for Fun, and players can cheat, but being caught reduces the Sims' relationship. Sims in a bad mood can autonomously ruin the table, which increases Fun.
