This special shelf is different to the other shelves in The Sims 2. It can hold up to five objects, but what you put on the shelf has a special effect on nearby Sims.

  • Five Far East souvenirs: Faster skill building.
  • Five Mountain souvenirs: Stronger non-romantic socials.
  • Five Island souvenirs: Stronger romantic socials.
  • Five seashells: Bladder decay slows down.
  • Five Voodoo Dolls: Sims may get "attacked" by bees (in their imagination).

The new Far East-themed tea table is a great way for Sims to socialise. Up to four Sims can sit around this table. Whoever is the first to be seated is automatically the server. Using this object satisfies one of the Vacation Mementos. You do not have to use this object on vacation to satisfy the Memento. It can be used and placed at home. Drinking tea at this table gives your Sim a Vacation Memento.
