Through the Dragon's Eye challenge 2 intro.png

At the start of this challenge Gorwen will say from off-screen "These Widgets have seen you coming. They have hidden a Veeton inside the Book Tree."; once you have pressed Space to continue he shall say "The door is locked, but there are some passwords.". Once you have pressed Space again, you will be presented with one of three randomly-generated puzzles - and one of them is a wordsearch (to which Gorwen will say: "The tree needs some passwords. Find one in the wordsearch and type it in. Then press RETURN.", and once you have pushed Space for the third time, a cursor shall flash on the six-character line below the wordsearch). The Book Tree has seven passwords for using in the fifth challenge (AMANDA, BAT, BOOK, DRAGON, MAGIC, UNLOCK and WIDGET), and three of them can be found in each of the randomly-generated wordsearches; once you have typed in a password and confirmed it, it shall turn red (for the first two passwords Gorwen will say "Good. Can you find another?", but for the third, he will say "Well done. The door is unlocked."). Once you have pressed Space to continue, the double doors of the Book Tree shall slide open and Gorwen will say "Now you can look for the Veeton. Scott thinks you should make a note of the passwords first." - and once you have pushed Space for a seventh time, the game will proceed to its third challenge. However, if your BBC Micro's disk drive activates after pushing Space for the second time, you will get one of two other puzzles; if six Widgets thinking of six randomly-generated sums appear on the screen with their names beneath them, Gorwen will say "Which Widget is thinking of the biggest number? When you have worked it out, type in its initial letter.", Once you have pressed Space to continue, he will say "That is the first letter of the password. Then work on down to the Widget thinking of the smallest number." - and once you've pressed Space for a fourth time a cursor shall flash on the six-character line below the Widgets (but, to work out what the password is, all you have to do is look at the Widgets' names):

Names Password
Dib, Rinky, Ack, Grug, Oz, Nod DRAGON
Ump, Nod, Lob, Oz, Crump, Kop UNLOCK
Wiz, Izz, Dib, Grug, Eldo, Tup WIDGET

Once you've typed in the password and confirmed it Gorwen will say "Well done. Widgets can't beat you!"; once you have pushed Space to continue, the double doors of the Book Tree shall slide open and Gorwen shall inform you "Now you can look for the Veeton. Scott thinks you should make a note of the password first.". However, if a box that contains all 26 letters of the alphabet in order at the top, but in reverse order at the bottom, appears on the screen (with a scrambled word below it), after your BBC Micro's disk drive activates, Gorwen will say "The password is in code. Can you crack it?" - and once you have pushed Space to continue, a cursor will flash on the six-character line below the scrambled word, which could be one of the following:

Scrambled word Password
ZNZMWZ AMANDA
YZG BAT
YLLP BOOK
WIZTLM DRAGON
NZTRX MAGIC
FMOLXP UNLOCK
DRWTVG WIDGET

Once you've typed in the password and confirmed it, Gorwen will say "What a code cracker!"; once you press Space to continue, the double doors of the Book Tree will slide open and Gorwen will inform you "Now you can look for the Veeton. Scott thinks you should make a note of the password first.".
