MS-DOS controls[edit]

Save and load[edit]
The game is saved automatically whenever the character lodges in an inn.
A saved game can be loaded from the title screen or from the "You are dead" screen. During the game, you can reload the game by selecting the computer icon (no F shortcut) and then selecting the "load game" command.

Password system[edit]
Instead of save states, the NES uses a password system.
Whenever the character lodges at an inn, a password is shown. The password can be entered from the menu screen to resume the game.
