Trypticon has fallen from orbit, and Optimus Prime is nearby the crash site.

In this chapter, you will fight against one enemy. Of course, said enemy will specifically target the human-controlled autobot

Inspect the crash site[edit]

Unlike chapter 5, the boss fight doesn't start right away. The team has to head toward the crash site, possibly choosing their desired weapon from nearby pickups.

There is an obstruction in the way, handled by shooting the energon battery to clear it away. Shortly after the site, you will reach Trypticon after he damages the floor.

Destroy Shoulder Cannons[edit]

Three major attacks:

  • The shoulder cannons fire fast missiles. They are hard to dodge due to their speed, quantity, and splash.
  • The mouth cannon, which fires a slower moving projectile. These are technically hard to dodge, but the splash damage is minimal.
  • The tail slam, recognized by Trypticon turning. This causes significant damage to autobots on the same side of the arena as the tail.

On the upper platform is a switch that will activate the energon battery conveyor. These conveyors are close to Trypticon's shoulder cannons, and give an easy way to overload the shoulder cannon. Destroying four energon batteries should be enough to destroy one shoulder cannon.

This gets repeated for the other side.

Destroy Chest Coils[edit]

Two major attacks:

  • The tail slam. In this case, the attack is doubled up, thus you will need to move from one side of the arena to the other, then back again. This is likly to be the greater threat.
  • The mouth cannon, which is the same slow-moving projectile as before.

The team of autobots is dropped to the lower floor, but there is a nearby overshield that can help.

After the volley from the mouth cannon, Trypticon will have two chest coils exposed, which may be fired upon. When both are destroyed, the arena floor collapses, bringing the autobots to yet another arena.

Destroy Dorsal Power Cores[edit]

Three major attacks:

  • High-arc missiles. There is a safe zone on the left of the arena, on the upper section. In this safe zone, these missiles will impact against the ceiling above. Otherwise, these attacks are hard to dodge.
  • Mouth cannon. A long stream of projectiles which is avoided by simple sideways movement. The same safe zone applies.
  • Dark Energon. This causes a line of dark energon to sprout from the ground, and is also followed by a tail slam in that same line. After a few seconds, the clusters will transform into spiders, and will attack, and are best handled using melee attacks. Trypticon will wait for a period of time before starting the next attack.

In this final stage, wait for one of the autobots to announce that the dorsal power cores are vulnerable. When they are, open fire with any weapon available. You will also need to take cover from the attacks, although there are a few safe spots from the most dangerous attacks.

Only one power core is vulnerable at a given time. The center is the first vulnerable, followed by the one on the left, then the right.
